I used a series of dremel engravers and a rotary tool. I’ll add some more engraving soon. Maybe I’ll do a simply knives episode about to. Trick is to do it deep and pre heat treat
Not really, inspect what you buy or get. heavy pitting or lots of rust could be a problem. The only issue I've had was a set off of a recalled truck for the leaf springs. That being said I like the older leaf springs, makes for a cooler story.
@@khildrak for leaf springs canola oil or veggie oil. In Texas it doesn't require a pre heat before heat treat but if its cold I usually do. Sometimes you can get a bunch from restaurants pretty cheap if not free.
The handle is really cool. 😃😃
Thank you!
Impressive shredding. Hilarious video, too!
We had too much fun lol!!
Big and beefy chopper! Sometimes nice and basic is best. Would like a video on how you etched or engraved the vine on the blade!

@@Brackinforgeandhomestead Thanks Man!
My man, you need some kind of backer for that hand sanding jig. You don't want to impale yourself on one of your blades!
Well went back through and watch that part again. I thought you were talking about a backer for the sand paper...think I should wear Kevlar?
that is a BEEFY knife!! What did you guys use to quench?
Wait till you see the next one!
A big vat of very old canola oil.
@@Brackinforgeandhomestead Awesome, I have some old leaf spring I wanted to make a sword out of but didn’t want to buy a huge amp of parks 50
