I'll forever remember the day this was played on the big screen. As the video played all that could be heard was the sound of sniffles as people held back tears. Suddenly about half way into the video I saw/heard a man not too far away from me simply cry the word "VICHAI" in a broken voice which started a chant around the stadium. I have never heard anything as emotional or as poignant as that one word from that random gentleman.

Oh Vichai... I salute you good sir. You and your family are a beacon of hope for modern football in the way you treat your football fans. I'm beyond jealous. I look at Daniel Levy, who runs Tottenham Hotspurs, and at the very least, he attends the game and is a fan, something you can't say about the Kroenke's, the Glazer's, FSG... But his relationship with Tottenham fans is so icy and he is so corporate, as evidenced by him trying to buy his way into the Super League. Anyways enough about my envious rant. Looking back at this as a Spurs fan and still couldn't be happier for Leicester to have won the prem that season, and in reflection even more happy that it got to happen within Vichai's time on this earth.
This man bought me beer, pizza, a doughnut and more beer. He gave me the best atmosphere in the English Premier League. He gave me the most exciting football that I`ve ever seen in my home city. He gave his money to the city in areas that had nothing to do with football and he gave my city a week of partying the like of which had not been witnessed before. Thank you.
That's a man who put great faith in his club, with great ambitions in a sport that we all love in our great nation. We Dont care where his from...this man is THE MAN. Every football fans would loved him as owner. Except maybe Chelsea and Man City. But where do you see club owner being loved like that!!! His legacy is continuing with the fa Cup this season.

I'll forever remember the day this was played on the big screen. As the video played all that could be heard was the sound of sniffles as people held back tears. Suddenly about half way into the video I saw/heard a man not too far away from me simply cry the word "VICHAI" in a broken voice which started a chant around the stadium. I have never heard anything as emotional or as poignant as that one word from that random gentleman.
I think I speak on behalf of every football fan, this guy was a true legend

3 years later, but after being at the game and watching this, I’ve never cried this hard in my life, the Leicester city community will miss vichai and everything he has done for us, making the impossible possible, us winning the fa cup and community shield, champions league quarterfinals, all seems like a dream

Foreign owners are routinely a disaster in England. But this gentleman is the exception. Sure, LFC was a promotional tool for his business. But his genuine dedication to the club and the city is truly remarkable. Always followed LFC from afar (Rangers fan) through the Jock Wallace connection. Such a shame, but this is a man who has left a legacy few will ever match. God bless him.
