The game is insane in VR. Capcom knocked it out of the park. Best VR experience out in gaming so far. I really hope Sony keeps working with Capcom to bring all games to PSVR2 going forward, and updates 7 and even brings Re2 to it, too. These games shine in VR.
RE2 in VR would be quite the experience. That one has always been my favorite
@rmoose3211 agreed! I def would like some more older school survival horror style RE games for VR on there, instead of all the action horror games like 4 and Village, but I'm definitely loving 4 still.
@@Metalguy86 I feel exactly the same. I have village but haven't picked up RE4 yet. Action horror definitely has its place but I miss the old school survival horror games. Imagine silent hill VR..
@rmoose3211 agreed! RE2 would go down as the best vr experience ever published if they actually did it! I doubt they will though. That ship sailed I think. Now a remake of the original? We might get that! Exploring the mansion and lab in VR?! SHEESH! LOL
I would love if sony paid capcom to make an entire original VR resident evil game that is made in VR from the ground up. If they did this much of an amazing job in turning a flat screen game into VR, imagine the possibilities of what they could do
If the game was built for VR from the beginning and not just some game mode. An original resident evil vr game with a brand new story
Just for added immersion, there's an option in the menus to let you crouch manually instead of with "R3". I'd say if you have the space, DO IT. You can also (when it turns on) grab the flashlight from your forehead. Make sure to parry too.
VR on the PS5 is unlike anything I've experienced before! It's friggin amazing! Top notch VR experience and definitely next gen!

As somone who played re4 and beat the level less than 15 minutes the vr version really bring up a challenge and been playing for 2 hours and I'm bearly in chapter 3 😂. Best part is that I still have my cat ears and my wepons

I would say that the overall vr experience is better with RE8 village
But my god the gameplay is more fun with RE4...they smashed it.
I swear Capcom sure does a good job on making a VR mode for there games. This game is Fantastic. Even if you have to press the X button to open doors and pick up items. I don't mind that at all.
I just played through the first chapter, and I had to take me a break. It is unbelievable how immersed I felt. Had me jumping all over the place. I absolutely ❤ it 💯 only thing I hate is those darn Fresnel Lenses. Having that blurriness is very noticeable after playing in my Quest 3 via Steam Link playing Arizona Sunshine 2. That game is awesome as well . Vertigo also knows how to make some VR games. I wish these game developers would play these games to see how good they are.

Can’t get vr to start. Game opens in big picture mode and says you can’t use vr controllers to play.
You should be able to grab the flashlight from your head to use it in your offhand

Yo, im playing this on hardest difficulty level, professional...kinda different experience, boss fights r fucked up...try it, normal difficulty has no deadly threat
Is it more vr the then pcvr remake? Cuz that felt like i was playing a flat screen game that was forced to be a vr game. Couldnt grab anything or really do anything id want to in a vr game.
The pcvr version was basically just the wii version ported to VR. THIS is a vr remake. Think RE8 VR instead.

@@WaynerTheGamer There was a geniune problem with numerous complaints on reddit. Both the VR mode and even the demo were unavailable. Finally got it about an hour ago.
Not at all they downgrade from 8 the world interaction, flash light, holding doors climbing ladders.
Basically non existent.
You can grab your flash light off your head and hold it in your hand like 8. Doors seem to push open which is fine. I don’t really care for climbing so glad that’s done for me. I can still grab and look at items I find before looking in the case. The combat itself is fucking bonkers awesome. People aren’t ever happy lmfao

@@themarauder8006 no problem! My only complaint with that though is that you can only use it when the game itself turns it on. Would’ve been nice to grab it off your waist or something at anytime. I’m having a hell of a time though, hope you start liking it more too

I want resident evil biohazard on the psvr2 so i can experience the ps5 graphics because on the ps4 vr the graphics were blurry
Its never going to have ps5 graphics yet that will probably be ps6 vr graphics are always a bit behind , psv1 was like ps3 graphics psvr2 is like ps4 it's just the way vr is , games that aren't as demanding can run close to ps5 but vr players just have to accept that its more about the immersion you would need really high resoloution per eye to have really high fidelity just enjoy it for what it is its still great in my opinion
I love this game only gripes I got is reprojection is a tad bit rough and that's it gameplay length graphics are great makes you feel like Jhon wick with zombies

Need to make all the remake into vr. Why do they want to give a bad reputation to a downfall with theses stupid mini app games onto vr2 when they can seriously make good AAA games. The budgets will sky rocket as most people ain’t buying them since they’ve heard they’re not missing out.

Doesn't feel like a downgrade, especially for a fuckin freebie jeez. The game wasn't designed with 3d cutscenes so most reasonable folks expected flat. The only odd things for me is when you get knocked down the 3rd person swap is disorienting plus no manual heal or flashlight on demand. Ladder climbing doesn't bother me

It’s just as good, and exactly like RE8. It’s great and all but I’m just not a fan of puzzle games and I get stumped on where to find things all the time. Just not a fan of linear games. I really wish PSVR2 would release a good open world game. No Man’s Sky is good but way too over complicated. I don’t want to think too much when I’m playing a game. I have to do that all day everyday. I’d like a GTA type game or something.

@@cameronwebb9045i Played and it‘s a let down because there‘s no vr cutscenes from the First Person view from Leon only the original cutscenes and that’s ruinied the immersive Experience

Once, I got to the lake I realized it's definitely better than Village. Some immersion breaking stuff put me off at first. The flat cutscenes are my biggest complaint.
Psvr2 best experience is the REVR series. Everything else is mediocre at best. I think after this game I’ll be selling this headset. Sony just doesn’t know what they’re doing in this category, or just straight up abandoned their headset.
WTF you talkin bout? I love my VR 2! 🫶😍 Red Matter, GT 7, Village, Horizon, Walkabout Mini Golf, Pavlov,Moss and so on.
Glad PSVR2 fans got an unequivocal win, but can Capcom please stop porting RE4 now? Like, call it quits on that game for a few decade and try to make something new. I only mention this because legit: the only game ported more times than RE4 is Skyrim.
