saw the youtube short and this bass is probably the cleanest bass I've ever heard. Any thoughts on tutorials for other edm genres like the growly dark basses? (Sweet Soul by copycatt)

No hate to you Sam because I like these tutorials. I just kinda dislike these videos on how to copy another artist's sound.
Why not teach the approach and concepts a little more in depth ? I mean, I know the reason why .
These sine basses are quite easy to break down, simple to make. Just knowing the concepts and theories will be more helpful in my opinion. There are so many of these type of videos and then you hear what happens is that everyone uses the same sounds in their music. That is pretty much what happened to Skrillex in the first place and he decided to come back to the basics with these older style sounds.

What happens when you have two different envelopes/LFOs modulating the same dial (FM) in this example)
Like how does the dial know which envelope to prioritise?

I can't get it to work. I watched your video 10 times on 0.5 speed analyzing every knob and number on your screen and followed exactly... I got a flat donk. I downloaded your preset and - it looks different (The MG Low 24 filter cutoff knob is not lit up), and it doesn't "breathe"....
On my end it just sounds like a basic - not inhaling or exhaling , not rerally very good, plain donk. I like the way yourse sounds , but why doesn't it work?
I figured it out. I'm a newb. Apparently I needed to touch all the unlit controls to activate them ... ? Anyway, it works now. Thank you.
You should really show the sound you make in this video in the first minute or smth on the video, so people know what there watching
