ABOUT ME: My husband and I have a farm in northeast Kansas where we have a Black Angus cattle herd, and raise row crops (corn and soybeans). Hubby has been farming all his life, but I came late to this farming thing when we married over 10 years ago. My videos show the daily doings on the farm from calving to corn harvest, and everything in between. Farming is a 365 day per year job, all day and sometimes into the night. It is by turns frustrating, exhausting, full of hardship and disappointment. But it also has many rewards, from the glory of a sunrise over a field of corn just popping up in the spring, to watching a calf take it's first breath.
Boy does this take me back to my youth. To the point I can smell the manure and cigars.
This is the place where the rap started.

2:42 that calf put a pretty good dent in their gate
chickens accidentally buying a hay wagon
As a non-native speaker this is my worst nightmare in a listening test.
As a native speaker I can tell what numbers he's saying and most filler words are just too fast to catch unless you're listening very hard
These guys are faster than Eminem.
Ziggmanster 10xs faster than him alright!
They need a Signer to interpret for the deaf people. 😁😁
Looks fun. I want to try. Hgbllltwoblbublbub. *Wipe spit from screen*
he is vary fast
That auctioneer would be my cousin Danny deters he's one of the best auctioneers around.
In Montana? I think I've been to this same place
@@oddynuff7063 no, in kansas
Yeeeeeep!
if you put it 1/4 the speed, you can almost understand what he's saying.
The auctioneer sounds familiar!
You've been to auctions in person?
@Frank Lee, yes I've been to livestock and estate auctions but thought the rattle sounded a little like Max Olvera who I've seen here on the Tube.
What does the final sale number mean? Lets say the final number he calls is 144, is that the total price in dollars? The price per head? The price for every 100 lbs? The price per lb, divided into 100 lbs? I just don't remember how much they are selling for when the final price is called out.
rusty keller
For example if a calf weighs 500 and the last number he says is 150 it means they cost $1.50 a pound for a total cost of $750
I wanted to enable the caption but doesn't work with such speed.

If you can't understand what he's actually saying....💩💩
pratty I understood everything he said. It’s not that difficult.
@@gsnicholas8522 Well I'm happy for you. As an auctioneer myself, in New Zealand for 40 plus years, several things were of utmost importantance, when marketing a clients product.
One of those was that you must be absolutely clear and understandable.
In my opinion, he is not.
As a cattle buyer in the United States for the last 30 years, I'll agree clarity is important. So is speed. We sell hundreds if not thousands of head of livestock in just a few hours. All of our very good auctioneers sell fast like that, and are easy to understand.
