I was cleaning out a barn and buried in the back was an 06 Rancher 400at, got it home, power washed it and plastics are mint, cleaned the gas tank, new lines, oil, gas and air filters, spark plug and carb, new oil in front and rear diff, started right up, both auto and esp works good, 2x4 and 4x4 works, got paid for cleaning the barn, got paid for scraping metal and got a beasty 4 wheeler, pretty sure I just used up my luck for the rest of my life
I've had my 07 rancher 400 at with the gps since new. I've used mine hard on the farm and trapline. 9000 miles as of 2023 and all its had is regular maintenance.
I've got one of these a 2006 model actually, when I first got it last year it was awesome it rode like a brand new one but it got to where it wouldn't start and it ended up needing the valves adjusted but I guess where it had set so long when I did get it started it wouldn't shift. It's heartbreaking because it was a beast of a fourwheeler.
Honda Rancher 400 AT are awesome machines. I have 3 of them and use them to plow snow here in Colorado and trail ride in the summer. They keep on pushing deep snow great. They are good training machines for ladies and kids with the option of automatic or EPS. In the EPS 1st gear, you can climb a wall or a tree if you allow it. Also the back compression of going down steep hills and not needing to hit the brakes all the time. I love the machines and only problem I have had is replacing batteries every few years. 😎
No transmission fluid all engine oil 2.8L to be exact and make sure you buy the honda oil, any other oil will make the transmission crap out very early
Just got one yesterday for 1800 it’s an 07 in good condition really good condition actually but it’s fmf it some stuff wrong with it but worth putting money into
I have an 04 with the Gpscape. Got it from a family member about 7 years ago not running. I just last month got it going and rideable. The AT is definitely different, I'd prefer a foot shift or button shift over it, but I can't beat a free atv 🤷♂️
Hey! I bought this same quad and my clutch is slipping. All of the videos I can find have the jam nut adjustment on the front mine doesn’t have that… do you know how to adjust the clutch!? Thanks.
damn bro why cant mine look that clean i have the exact same one and i got it from some asian family and so some of the things that hold down the plastics are missing and they took my choke😭
Some people have had problems with the hondamatics and crap on the foreman rubicons and ranchers but mines got 6031 miles on it and runs like new and I go swampin and tearing through mud holes all the time just keep the oil clean and you’ll be fine, they still use hondamatics in the rincon they quit making the 400s bc they weren’t getting enough money off of em

I agree
I have one identical to it, I want to know where and if you put transmission fluid in them. I love this thing ! Also looking for starter for it.
Trans fluid on those is the wet clutch oil you run in your engine... doff fluid however is ever 100 hours or so

Indont think the AT had a clutch adjuster maybe a honda tech or specialist could provide some insight in the comments
I just bought one too
Is this motor a basic ranxher 400 motor
Which mounting plate you used for your winch? I got an 04' Rancher 400at and I don't know which plate to use.
