    you can buy the mora 601, which is like the 612 but it has a guard on both sides. then you can insert it into the sheath either way

    How a knife from useless to dangerous managed to become a bestseller, you need research from psychologists. I say useless because as a knife it is not suitable for preparing food, for hunting and fishing it is most unsuitable due to sharpening, due to intense oxidation of the steel, due to the size and shape of the handle. As a woodcarving tool, it has a rather long blade which does not allow you to have good control in the detailed but laborious work. I say dangerous because it is the only knife (fortunately) whose edge protrudes from the handle but also at the back part the metal again protrudes from the wood. The other one with the guard looks like a bad joke, there you protect the finger from the edge but get injured by the guard who doesn't have even the slightest bit of roundness. And of course, in all moras if you don't put a secondary bevel, their edge will always be jagged.
