    I like seeing a job completed when the craftsman paid attention to the details. They make a difference for sure.

    How's she goin'? Your shop looks great Steve!!! Lots if work but you did a nice job. Nail holes? What nail holes!!! Very nice technique used to fill and cover those nails. The Smart Panel is great too eh. I will always use this from now on. I have it on a couple of my buildings and it's easy to work with and stands up to almost anything. Thanks for sharing this info Steve and take care!!!

    Thank you for sharing! I just bought 2 sheets of this to put on our new build doghouse & I’ve searched & asked several people about matching the nail holes on siding & pvc trim, your shop looks awesome so I’m definitely going with your recommendations, I know it’s just a dog house but I want it to look nice & last. Great video & thanks so much!

    Looks dammed good Steve! Excellent! And the hip roof really sets the building off nicely. Behr is good stuff. I’ve had really good luck with Valspar as well. Their outdoor primer is incredible. Hard to beat KILZ also. Wife and I just redid our front porch, before I got sick with the dang COVID! Spent 5 days in the Hospital! So glad to be out and getting better. Have you noticed the price of paint seems to have gone up? Lumber seems to be adjusting down, but the Valspar at my local Lowe’s was over 22.99 for gallon of primer, and the Porch Floor Deck paint was over $27.00! Great video my friend. Hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy! Hope your furry critters are doing well 😄👍👍👍👍✌🏻😁🇺🇸👏🏻

    Nice job Steve! I used paintable silicone on my siding and it was about $8 tube. I probably have $300 in caulk ;)

    • @SteveRobReviews
      @SteveRobReviews  3 роки тому

      Yes it can get expensive Jay but cheaping out on cheap caulking sure gets expensive too doing it over and over again 😅😅

      Thanks Wade , next year I plan on filming more up at the camp and expand my solar water pumping with water right to the cabin with hot water too . Cheers 👍

      Will look.out for your videos as i enjoy the way you.present yourself. Do you have solar lighting in the cabin too?

    • @SteveRobReviews
      @SteveRobReviews  2 роки тому

      Wade it's all solar but I do have a generator to heat up a hot water tank for my shower . Twin circuits in the cabin, half solar and half that run off the generator. Last year I burnt 2 gallons of fuel for the generator. Before I got solar I was using 25 gallons of fuel a year.

    I plan to install LP Smart panel on top of my old T1-11 siding, the bottom 3 inches is rotted, I will cutout the rotted siding and replace with material has the same thickness, additional blocking will be install between studs, After the repair is done, i will cover the T1-11 with moisture barrier, install flurrying strip and finally LP Smart panels. I agree with you paint it and install PVC trim after. Thanks for all the tips.

    I usually prime the bottom edge and the first 12” of the inside panel before installation to avoid water damage , especially when the panels are installed so close to outside floor/ground .

      @lacuzon39000 That's a great tip . Yes the bottoms rot out fast if you don't.

      @@SteveRobReviews Just checking. You know if things really go south for you up there. You can always fly to Mexico and cross the border into the US. They will give you free housing and food. Also they are working on a new 3.5 trillion dollar package that includes extended benefits for all illegals. Now if you try to come across the northern border. They will kick your behind right bact to Canada.

      HAHAHA big spenders up here too but worse. You should count your lucky stars your not living up here with $6 a gallon for gas , 13% sales tax , so this year everyone only had to give all their paychecks to the government till June 15 and we get to keep the rest for ourselves . Ya were paying about 50% tax overall. Socolizm can get expensive eh Rick 😅
