I think no one is talking about how last year we were all talking about how Tua put on wight and muscle to keep him from getting hurt, seemed to work, now he has lost all that weight and bulk, will that get the man hurt? we were all worked up over how Tua needed to beef up so now we should equally be worked up over how he got rid of the bulk.
I think Miami has 5th year option and franchise tag after that so they have the leverage, after all this is not about money this is about giving the man his money putting stress on the cap and then the guy getting hurt, head injuries big deal, also remember the man said he thought about retirement. Personally if I was making the deal it would get done in late October. The team has great talent around him, see how he reacts to all the crown jewls they have brought in to help him. See how the slimer Tua holds up and pay the boy when it gets close to the super bowl run.
Id wait till mid october to pay the boy if not later. If he cant handle playing qb for 23 million this year then maybe he isn't the right man for the job, a leader goes out there and balls out and makes management look foolish. I think Ross and company could care less how much they end up paying Tua they just dont want to get in more of a cap hell. The money will be there Tua should just ball out and show everyone and shuts everyone up by leading us. Only tua can shut up the hatters.

If Tua isn't signed by training camp, Tua will see well more than the 55mill a year lawernce got and by a long shot. If I am Tua, if I am not signed by Training Camp, I dont sign at all, and I play on my 5th year option. Why? Because I have the quickest release in the NFL, I'm the most accurate passer in the NFL, and I throw for more yards than anyone in the NFL. I will get over 75 million a year minimum

The Dolphins have to let Tua play out this 5th year option at $23 million. Nothing makes me believe this Tua-McDaniel offense is going to scare the real contenders, which they have been awful against; embarrassingly awful. A repeat of last year isn't worth but half that $50 million. We need to see more; growth, the ability to succeed beyond the 1.9 second, one progression, pre-determined, passing attack. Anything outside this boutique offense, Tua has been inconsistent, erratic to downright awful. I'm shocked he's so about the money but maybe he too realizes next season may be his last as a franchise starting QB, maybe as a starter at all if McDaniel doesn't advance this offense.
