Hyorin is a person who always wants to challenge herself musically speaking and she once said that she enjoys rapping more than singing so I think she'd love to do Unpretty Rapstar (and i'm sure she'll be amazing)

😊HI👋 I know I'm 5 & 4 years WAY TOOOO late to this discussion but I just Sadly Now had discovered Hyorin doing this cover to Lady T/Tasha/or Yoon Mi rae's song "Memories" & when I had heard the original version, a while back, I fell immediately in LUV with it🥰 ! But I also have heard some of Hyorin's music B4, that I REALLY LIKE🤩 & that girl can SAAAANG😃😁😉!!
In regards to what was the point of the Original commenter's comment saying that, was a person just giving their honest critique of opinion to the comparison( which is only natural to do), in which they have a right to express their feels, even if it may not be positive to others because I can say this fact, reading this whole comment sec., there are alot of people doing similar things in expressing how Hyorin sings & raps better than Bora.
What's the point of even making those comparisons or saying that??!! Which to me comes off negative & I don't see people posting comments under them asking what was the point of saying that Bora isn't as good as Hyorin or why Bora's name needs to even be brought in the discussion of this if people are just admiring Hyorin's amazing gift to Powerfully sing & also can be able to Rap too. Why can't people just focus on talking about Hyorin, alone & leave it at that??
BUT Hey, People have their right to Express their feelings to say so on & nothing wrong of people expressing their right of their opinions to how they perceive a singer to them even if their opinion differs from another's opinion. Plus, if Someone like Hyorin is going to cover a Song on the Original Song by Tasha/Yoon Mirae, then, it's only natural that somebody is going to give a opinionated critique about this, either if it's good or bad, where people shouldn't be surprised or shocked of seeing that happen but should be prepared that it's going to naturally come with the territory!!!
Now, My honest observation & personal opinion of listening to Hyorin sing this Song, is HANDS DOWN WAAAY BETTER THAN TASHA SINGING OF THE CHORUS PART TO THIS SONG. Me saying that is not me saying that Tasha didn't do a good job in singing that part because I do feel Tasha can sing pretty good. But listening to Hyorin's singing in comparison, to me, there's more of a different kind of intense soulful emotional singing that Hyorin delivers with power & the quality of her singing adds to it making it sound MUCH better but ONLY in my opinion.
In regards to the Rapping part of this song, I actually was taken back that Hyorin can even Rap & she even does a very good job to be able to transition into those rapping parts BUT IN TRUTH OF MY OPINION, there were a few times her rapping wasn't as SMOOTH as Tasha being able to deliver in doing that!
I don't Know what it is but there's something about The speed/ or Pace or flow of Hyorin's Rap, seems not as Strong but Weak in that department, where she has to try to focus in thinking more that slightly shows on her face on her rap parts, in comparison to when Hyorin was singing, she didn't look like she had to put ANY thought focus there since it came to her much more natural & almost a sigh of relief that comes over her face when she gets around to her GREAT singing, lol😃!!
BUT Her rapping doesn't coming off as natural that Tasha can do with ease , as if it's almost like, when Tasha was born into this world, she automatically just starting rapping as her 1st words ever coming out of her mouth as a infant😄. Also, the QUALITY to Hyorin's Rapping, didn't have the type of IMPACTFUL POWER that it SOOO NEEDED in coming through to truly feel those powerful passionate words that Tasha definitely has by all means when she's rapping that amazingly so.
HERE AGAIN, that didn't mean that Hyorin didn't have some power of attitude when she was rapping, IT JUST NEEDED MORE TO IT & it doesn't mean that Hyorin didn't do a WORTHY GOOD JOB because SHE STILL DID VERY WELL IN HER RAP.
The way I see it, is it's a 50/50 win here, where Hyorin blew the roof off in the singing part of Tasha's "Memories" song, where hands down Hyorin wins on that part But in the rapping part, That's where Tasha/Yoon Mirae ever more HANDS down wins, that can't be touched on & Is why Tasha is Labeled as the Korean Queen of soulful rapping. Where Hyorin seems to be the Korean Queen of soulful singing.>>>IT WOULD OF BEEN BETTER/ or PERFECT IF ORIGINALLY YOON MIRAE& HYORIN TEAMED UP FOR THIS SONG, TO HAVING TASHA COVER ALL THE RAPPING PART & HYORIN DO ALL THE SINGING OF THE CHORUS PARTS🤗!!..OK, IF ANYONE HAS TAKEN THE TIME TO READ THIS NEVERENDING BOOK LIKE LOOOONG RANT COMMENT😳😬😱😆😜😆😁, ☆☆HERE'S A BIG👏🎉👏🏅👏🎆👏🥳👏!!!
