There are 4 Game Show hosts that I cried over when they passed, Jim Lange, Bob Barker, Alex Trebek, and Geoff Edwards. Geoff Edwards was a great person, I got the chance to talk to him before he died.

Same here. I admired them all. Last year, I attended the Trebek estate sale and had a friend take a picture of me sitting at Alex's desk in his home office. I sat there for a few minutes reflecting on his amazing career, and thinking about the amount of strength and dedication it took to continue hosting Jeopardy! right until the very end.

Geoff and I were acquaintances for years. Great guy. Toward the end of his life, he was hosting a podcast on Spreaker. One day when he couldn't get the theme music to fire properly, instead of starting over, he just started humming. Typical Geoff. Fun, funny and a very nice man. As pilots go, this concept wasn't bad. Celebrities + comedy + easy to play usually works well.

I really liked this show! It was fun and different. Too bad it was not picked up as a series. Thanks for sharing this Wink.

It's pretty easy to tell just about when this pilot was taped, just by looking at the set. Bob and Sande Stewart spent so much money on all the flashy lights that they didn't have enough left for decent prizes!

You can tell that Bob Stewart was obsessed with Bebu Silvetti and the song Spring Rain. I love it! 😊 Thank you again Wink!

Bob Stewart sure loved reusing themes and elements from previous shows, didn't he? The team set up kind of reminds me of Chain Reaction, and the bonus round gives me vibes of Twisters (another pilot), completing the statement to an unfinished question. Geoff Edwards obviously does a great job, and we’ve got another Bob Stewart pilot with Jack Clark. The set is a bit harsh on the eyes, but that’s ok. Nice gameplay, albeit slow.
Thank you for sharing all these amazing pilots, Wink. Please keep it up, you’re doing great. ❤️❤️

This is a January 1983 pilot episode of the American unsold game show "Famous Last Words". The two teams competing on this only pilot episode are Vicki, Charlie & Kathy and Abby, Richard & Ted. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

I knew this was a Bob Stewart show the moment Abbe Dalton and Charles Siebert turned up. Two of his fallbacks for Pyramid in the 80's when they had trouble getting a big variety of players.........Vicki Lawrence as usual a nervous wreck.

Plugging "Mama's Family" and "Three's Company", etc. easily narrows the year to the mid 1980s. Mentioning Bonnie Franklin also narrows it.
Then we see it's 1983. So Kline still had a job at that time.

Interesting pilot. I liked it! Similar to Personality. The choices should be marked as A or B so they could appear on the scoreboard as what each player chose. In the bonus round, the champ should get $5,000 if they chose all four answers correct.

Typical unsold Bob Stewart pilot. Recycling ideas- Front game is a revamp of Personality, bonus game is Match Game. Stewart stalwart Geoff Edwards hosting, his regular group of celebrities, and a recycled theme song (Spring Rain).
It’s lightly amusing, but not something I would seek out to watch. Geoff is great as always.
