AI used poorly will be a problem, and even used well it will be disruptive to us all. We will still have a lot to figure out, and I hope we figure out ways to support those who aren't as quick to embrace AI like me or make a choice not to adopt the technology and want to live simple lives apart from it. I do hope too that a lot of people curiously lean in and continue to learn from people like Vishen, perhaps they might discover that AI will help us reclaim a lot of our humanity, it will help doctors have more time with their patients, make mental health support more accessible and cheaper, and help people build businesses to solve problems. I hope we can embrace the benefits while still holding space for those that don't want to participate.
That’s great, but moms and dads need jobs to feed the children that will make the world a magical place in the future. If you want to be hanging out with robots instead of amazing humans in the future…keep it up. I resist this AI movement.
