This was a great day on the water with a heap of fish getting in the net, and even more when i stopped recording. Where you take that first fish out of the net is where I used to walk up the little creek and catch baby trout to put in a place I called the swamps, I was only 8 years old in 1984. Brings back good memories. We also used to swim down here. I literally had the river to myself all of the 80's as no one knew about its great fishing back then. It had a population of 10x the fish compared to today.
You captured the beauty of the place well. Point of interest - when I was 12 (I'm 45 now), I used to get a lot of nice trout in the creek that flows through St Marys (by wading of course) on a number 1 Celta which I blackened with a lighter on advice from an old gun trout fisherman.

@@fishinstraya They all fish well, mate - some from the bank but that little creek running through St Marys was best waded. There's some awesome bream water up on the north-east coast too and not just where you fish - could tell you some good spots but not on UA-cam as the fisheries are small and sensitive to overfishing.

Depending what the dam is like, hardbodys are always worth a crack aswell as plastics

If you acquired a map and followed the course of the river, you'd work it out for yourself - in a couple of minutes. Some people are so lazy.
