- A meat inspector sets out to rid his town of payoff deals affecting the quality of meat being sold to the public.
Great Guy is a 1936 American crime film noir directed by John G. Blystone and starring James Cagney. In the film, an honest inspector for the New York Department of Weights and Measures takes on corrupt merchants and politicians.

About 35 years ago I saw some Cagney films on the Dutch television, he's a great actor in that kind of films, I am glad I can see some of his movies on the internet, here in Belgium

Early talkies era. Sound generally was a bit muffled in most films until they figured it out a little later.
@@PeterEvansPeteTakesPictures talkies started 1929, this is 1936 !!! Certainly improved way before this time !!! The poster probably ripped from a poor quality DVD from a dollar store.
