always a trade off right. I think binders are easier to take down and look through. especially for the non collector (showing a set to a friend for example). i think us collectors will always have cards to thumb through so i like the idea of organizing a set of 80 in binders on a shelf. a pocket for the spine would be nice. or some way to showcase the set it holds
I have a binder with 4 pocket pages. I put my nice raw cards in Card Saver 1's, then I put into the graded card sleeves and they slide into the pages nice and tight. They look great, easier to handle and a lot lighter than top loaders. I am getting away from top loaders, too heavy and they take up too much space.
I got the preza slab binder recently i was weary of these knockoffs. Switched from a regular 3 ring binder with ultra pro slab pages. I looked at the rayvol but it doesnt have the securing flap on the pouch to keep the cards in... just seemed "lesser than" lol
I like the looks of the slabs in the pages. The four card layout is just right to me. I was also impressed that it zipped up well and appears to be sturdy enought to actually hold 40 slabs. Did you stand it vertical like many people store the 9 pocket binders? Wondering about sag or pull on the pages with that much weight.
@@MikelineTV I wouldn't use the binder for protection as much as I just want to be able to flip through them. I like to use bags over the slabs to try and prevent them from getting scratched over time.
They fit sleeves just fine but when you order the binder u have to choose the one that fits ur particular slabs. It seems like hes forcing in sgc slabs in the psa binder.
Here's the link for these as promised (remember to toggle between SGC and PSA):

@@CardboardOnlyCards I agree! The toploader binder I have has a little pocket on the spine like you mentioned

This is a good idea! I used to put my raw 1972 autos in semirigids and then 4-pocket postcard pages.
I’m seeing these more but I’m surprised I didn’t see any for sale at the National
@@WarriorKidd06 it would make a lot of sense!

I might have to look into that one as well! I like trying different ones out, even if I don't end up using them much
Give me a good ole fashioned box!!!!!!

@@tysonchoquette9439 I stood it up to test it and I don't think anything will move around. It's like a big brick though
How much more protection is needed for the cards if its already slabbed necessary to be put inside the binder?

Superior fit sleeves would probably work so you don't have to put the team bags on backwards.
@@mindcycle_cards that's a good idea - I've had friends say those are scuffing their slabs though
I would guess they did not design it to accommodate sleeves over the slabs.
@@TheStabilio you're probably right! I do like that it's a tight fit though

@@lunisic I ordered the SGC one, it's just a real snug fit.
