Barriers like you mentioned help get rid of that risk. I noticed another benefit is that they can give more lanes to rush hour traffic when needed unlike before.

You know,the bridge is amazing to see and to walk across,and the nature is amazing but going to SF,the city itself...I think you would be dissaponited. If you have a soul,you will be crushed by the amount of homeless people and the price on everything and anything is insane.
In the video game "Watchdogs 2" you can take this amazing drive anytime you want......they did an amazing job recreating this whole area in minute detail....very fun game, and you can learn a lot about San Francisco just by playing it......

@@stadtbewohner Nice, I just did it heading south down to LA from Vancouver Canada. Nice drive the coast is over the 5. Takes 2x longer tho but was a nice drive so made it worth the extra time.
I was there once .. saw like 3 seperate women that were really confused and alone. Unfortunately i dont know what happened to them. Suicide signs are all across the bridge but it seems as if no one really cares.
In one direction only, towards SF, you have to pay around $7 by Fastrak or by license plate (prepay or post pay online), no cash payments anymore to speed up traffic flow.
This is extremely good camera quality for 2012 even by today's standards, great video.

The toll into the city is $6 on GGB and $4-$6 (time depending) on BB. Out of SF there is no toll.
