I just watched a Hollywood quality movie apparently as the camera angles were absolutely stunningly spot-on and the lighting was nothing short of brilliant. When that train roared through, it was the epitome of being there. SUPERB!!!
Another great video, got me thinking about summer time weather too. Love the green, glass insulators on the power poles, great touch. Love this layout.
So realistic. I loved the sound effects- the crickets and especially the locomotive horn as it passed by into the distance and the sound of the train cars hitting the track connections. Well done. 5hanks for sharing.
One of the most interesting spots for night train watching was Hawks Nest Lodge perched high atop the New River Gorge. You could sit on your balcony, first hearing the locomotives pulling upgrade or the dynamics screaming downgrade then the headlights getting brighter as they approached then the flange squeal as the train made its way along the ridge then the lights of the caboose or in later years the FRED. Not sure how it is in these days of PSR. I grew up not too far from JD Tower in Hyattsville and in those days the trains coming through and up and down the branch were like a lullaby especially coming up from Jones's Hill...
Jeff, I spent a lot of time at JD when I was at U of MD in the mid 80's! You are right, there is something about train watching at night that is special. The JD area was/is a special place. When I was in middle school in the late 70's I used to hang out at the tracks at night in the summer time with a good friend of mine who lived in Boyds MD. We could hear trains coming for miles and there was something spooky about the hulking behemoth screaming out the darkness and creating a whirlwind of noise, diesel smoke, and wind for a minute or 2. Then the red eyes of the rearward facing helper shoving onto the darkness and everything gets quiet again. So many great memories.
I was so excited to see a new video from your channel! Never disappointing. This one is amazing, love the lighting and camerawork, not to mention the synco-sound, squealing flanges, etc . Thank you! - Paul
Another Great Video from you. Always enjoy them. You gotta keep doing these more often. I keep checking for new ones all the time. Hope you had a Good Christmas. Happy New Year to you. Matt and Jebb
TOTALLY PHENOMENAL LOVE IT, ONE TIP YOUR FIRST OR SECOND FRAME AT THE TOP RIGHT OF THE SCREEN SHOWS THE ENDING OF YOUR BACK DROP REVEALING THE WALL AND DOOR NEXT TIME JUST LOWER YOUR CAMERA AN INCH OR SO TO ELIMINATE THAT SMALL FLAW IN YOUR VIDEO’S,THEN IT WOULD BE IMPECCABLE,EXCELLENT ALL AROUND KEEP EM COMING THANK YOU FOR SHOWING THESE GREAT VIDEO’S AND A GREAT LAYOUT.
1:48 with the perfectly synchronized sound effects is thrilling!

Incredible, just incredible! Excellent sound matching the train speed, the hot summer night crickets, so realistic - Thank you!
Awesome! Very inspiring! The coolest thing I’ve seen all year!
Amazing video. Throughly enjoyed.
Nice Job. The sound of the clickyde-clack matched the speed pretty well.
You can even see the bugs flying around the lights!
