Emma Hayes is incredible!! These players already love her n u can see it!! Top 3 are incredible but need to clean up 1 on 1 situations when shooting against goalkeepers n I'm sure they will work on it, they will be unstoppable!! People don't realize the turnaround in such a short amount of time!! I tell u I'd had loved to have a coach like Hayes when I played!!!!
Emma Hayes has already made some difficult changes that didn't please segment of the fans, but she was proven right. She also made changes during the game that many analysts disagree with, and again the result is the final judge. So, though Emma doesn't make only popular decisions as some of here decisions aren't popular, she made the USWNT better and again we will be playing the final at the Olympics on Saturday. This could be the beginning of the next GOLDEN USWNT Generation, this group of players and this coach. Had Emma been in charge of the USWNT in 2023 at the World Cup, I think we would have done a lot better, maybe even won the W.C. instead of Spain. Think about that!!! We had the right players in 2023 but not the right coach. Don't be afraid of change, if you're an USSF official, and if you're failure don't feel comfortable. Factors that didn't allow the USWNT Players under Emma Hayes to be at optimum level, though the coach has been in charge barely 3 months: - The Olympics Soccer Tournament Schedule of a game every 3 days is tougher than World Cup Schedule - Lots of fatigue affected all players not just the USWNT, but the USWNT players added stress on themselves to redeem their performance under the prior coach, plus the current coach hasn't yet implemented all her ideas - There are injuries there, and all this affected some players in terms of COFFEY having skipped QF game - It is not logical at all to ask a new coach to get you even to this level so soon, but we are here because the players are very good, because they want to win, and because the new coach and staff are very good. So, though we're playing the final on Saturday this is just the beginning. The 2004 USWNT generation won their first Olympic gold and went on to win 2 more. Likewise the current generation could do.
How can Hayes keep Shaw on the bench? She may not be fully fit but I think she will need to be a sub in the final. The three forwards have had to play four hours of football in three days. On Saturday they will be gassed in the second half. Shaw Time.

Horan is supposed to be the link between the backs and forwards. The mid-fielders are the playmakers. They see the entire field. In the game against Japan, she was missing in action. The mid-field was choked by the Japanese players. It used to be that the US could blow past their opponents. Other teams now have serious, sophisticated coaches who know how to work out strategy and tactics. The US is fortunate; Emma Hayes is the exact opposite of Vlatko. Hayes epitomizes the best of soccer coaches. Horan hasn't reached that level of sophistication, yet. She does have the mental maturity. The US does not have anyone else waiting in the wings.
I disagree, Horan has done an amazing job and is one of the best midfielders there is in all of woman’s soccer, that’s another reason why she plays on a more advanced club league. As she may has made some mistakes along the way (same with everyone else on the team) if u look back at the USA vs Zambia game, she had amazing ball control, awareness of where others were on the field, and her passes and beautiful assists for 2/3 goals that were scored for USA. Not everyone is going to play perfect and as I also agree Girm would AS WELL be a good captain, Horan is doing exactly what she should to help this team out, she makes a big impact and not everyone notices that. No hate, but this is my opinion.
At this stage of the tournament I think everyone’s legs are tired. It’s going to come down to which team has the mental toughness to get them through their physical exhaustion. Should be a great game!

Midfield is the weak link imagine if we had a Sam Mewis and Ertz instead of Horan and Lavelle they would be unbeatable.
