  • I trained one off season with Gavin MacMillan. Using his Isokinetic machine I notice significant muscle growth with less break down. My power and strength significantly increased. The next season I jumped further than I had ever before. Gavin is one of the smartest strength and conditioning coaches I worked with. He helped me learn a new philosophy and approach to training in the weight room.

Hey Trenten, how was the experience and the results with Gavin and his team? About the price, where does it stand compared other performance centers.
I've heard Gavin and his team, knowledgeable, based on research, don't do things just because it's the norm. Has you continued with that training afterwards, less resistance training-like?
I want to eventually train with them, rehab and later for performance so it would be helpful. Hope your recovery has been great.

Hey! Ya I learned a lot from Gavin and worked with him specifically! I really enjoyed working with him because when I would ask questions he would explain it to me and teach me. I felt like his training really prepared me for season and made me really strong doing unconventional training methods! I really like how we worked on range of motion and strengthening my foot and proprioception! I would highly suggest it. Budget wise for personal training at his caliber I thought was really affordable. He could have charged much more and he might do that depending on time demands. Gavin is great though, very direct and cares a lot about helping athletes who work hard! You could always talk to him about what you can afford if its a concern. Its worth having a face to face meeting with him and seeing for yourself!

@@Tr3n10 thanks for the detailed answer. Crazy one can book a session with him given his success. I've learned a lot from his podcasts alone. Can't imagine in person. Thanks and wish you the best on your athletic career, I did see your profile and really congratulations, those achievements are not small, what an athlete. Don't know if you compete on the upcoming Paralympics but good luck anyway.
