Thanks for the honest review. This is what I watch for. I don’t appreciate false positivity and would be very upset to have been influenced to spend my hard earned money by a misleading review. Keep up the honest reviews please.
We were on the Seashore April 14 to 21st and had NO issues in dining room. We had great service at the 7:15 seating, food was good and we were done by 8:30 each evening. They started brunch service in dining room which was also quite good for us. We never had an issue with lines at the buffet and found seats after walking around. We loved the Seashore and will definitely cruise on her again.
MSC sure has some issues with their food and beverage service. Way to long to have to wait to get a drink or a meal. On the plus side, the ship looks beautiful... the wake pool looks so cool as well as the bridges. Glad to see there was a very happy ending to this day and it looked like you were having a great time with your family!
We are on Ascent right now, her first TA crossing to Barcelona. Fantastic! A bit nervous watching your vlog as we board Grandiosa on Apr30.. hopefully better experience than you are having
Out of the four cruise lines in port, which would I choose? 1- Celebrity, 2- Royal Caribbean, 3- Carnival, 4- MSC. The funny thing is, I made the decision never to sail on Carnival again - but if it came between Carnival and MSC, I'd choose Carnival. The more videos I watch, the worse MSC is looking! You guys would love Celebrity. It's the same caliber as HAL and Princess.

I want to promote MSC as a lower cost cruise that fill in all the check marks. Not sure if they had a big crew turn over, but consistence is key. Loved Seaside but Seashore has 1,498 more passengers and less crew per passager. I hate to think you recommend this thinking back on your Seaside cruise. Looking forward to net 5 Vlogs hope dinning gets better!
It definitely was a different experience than what we had on the Seaside. we thought that since they were sistership, it would be a similar experience, but that wasn’t the case.
As we were first time cruisers on the Seashore , we didn't have any expectations. We had a great time, no issues with food, service. We will be cruising again in March 2025.
@@CruisingCanucks when we sailed Oasis we got the specialty dining package and which were all on deck 8; along with our fave bar the Trelis. And we really enjoyed our trip (post Covid)
Did you stay & watch the cool 3D video of the sea creatures on that screen in Nassau? We saw it in March & it was pretty cool. I learned from watching you tube videos that you needed to take a few minutes & stay & watch the whole thing. Anxious to see how rest of your trip goes! Don’t understand the negative comments…. Just giving your honest opinion 🤷♀️ keep up the great content!
I love watching your vlogs , MSC are letting themselves down badly , I have been researching for a nice cruise 2025 for our 30th Anniversary , I think I’ll stay with Marella Cruises it’s so much easier
Cruising is definitely becoming more and more expensive, not like the old days. Though MSC is more affordable compared to the other lines, I think we'll take a pass and do a land based trip. Thank you for presenting us the ship/service. Cheers J&J!
Thanks, the wrap up was spot on in my opinion. Service, speed and quality of the food are must haves on any cruise. I can't say I have seen any of those qualities thus far. Was that a towel exchange that is monitored in terms of you need to keep an eye on your towel so you have one to exchange?
Thank you. In order to get a towel, you have to sign it out and you will be charged on your account if it is not returned. You are given towels in your room and if you put them on the floor in the bathroom the cabin steward will exchange them for you.

MSC is a budget holliday and ofcourse you will see that somewhere, the food, the service, the crowd of people. I have been on MSC twice and prefer HAL and Celebrity by far but.....i.m a little older, my daughters loved the crowd, the games and loud music at the pool and thought the service to be fine. If you see what you pay for a three day trip in the Mediteranean you get really a lot for your money. Starting in Genova Italy, next day in Marseille France and last day in Barcelona Spain will cost you € 159.= incl. drinking package Easy and tips. It is not the holiday i am looking for but i am spoiled by HAL and Celebrity. Have a great cruise life! Greetings from the Netherlands.
You are so correct. We kept reminding ourselves about the cost for this cruise compared to other ones that we love. The saying "you get what you pay for" comes to mind.
We definitely want to give them a try unfortunately every time we compare them to HAL or Princess, they are more expensive, so we have yet to book with them due to that.
They definitely are pricier but believe me you can notice the difference between Princess and Celebrity... celebrity is one notch above Princess. I've never been on Holland Princess is my go to but if you can find a deal on Celebrity jump on it
Always on the lookout for the next cruise to try, this is definitely not on our list. Food and service are the biggest factors for us when looking at cruises and msc is too inconsistent to waste my vacation on.

I don’t know if you were laughing at all this nonsense when you were on the ship, but your misadventures are funny as they are quite unbelievable. Thanks for sharing.
Our vlogs show what really happens each day on our vacations. Most days, we enjoy positive travel adventures, but sometimes, we have an authentic reaction to something that falls short of our expectations. We feel our audience deserves honesty, and we would feel terrible if someone used their hard-earned money on a vacation that we said was all positive and didn't point out gaps in service and/or quality. It's not in our nature to be negative, and so we give careful consideration in how we describe our concerns.

That sounds encouraging and similar to our experience on the Seaside. Hopefully they've turned things around.
A quick talk with the MaitreD at brunch may have helped us avoid any issues. And they sent free goodies to the room

Very true. Despite having some issues around food service we had a wonderful time with our family and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

A large part of our cruise experience revolves around the dining room experiences. For some people that isn't a big deal. We all cruise our own way.

We sailed on the Seaside last September and had a totally different experience. There's less crowds, one extra dining room and we had a great time.
