Leaving Singapore today just looking through my Travel humidor and wishing I had a larger selection to choose from for my last smoke here. Great collection I'm big on anything Hoyo de Monterary right now but i don't think I'd ever get bored looking at your collection.
Brother. Thank you for the tour. The quantity is impressive, but the truly wonderfuly part of your collection is its quality. You've done a great job curating your cigars and, from what I gathered from some of your nearly empty humidors. smoking them too. Bravo for you.
Worth seeing just for the boxes, amazing craftsmanship in those casings. I hope you enjoy the cigars, be a shame to only collect them without tasting them.
Absolutely amazing! What a collection! I've just recently taken a liking to cigars and have started a small, one humidor collection hehe. It consists of a few Cohiba Siglo II, III and IV plus ONE Behike BHK 52 and some Robustos. Hopefully one day my collection can grow to what yours is!! My wife hates cigars tho lol. And it's kind of an expensive hobby. The Cubans are expensive here in Canada.
i abolutly love watching these videos of a good cigar collection, cubans or dominicans or whatever, cigar collections are just pure works of art. i am getting my collection going, yes im 20 and just dipping my feet in but i got my own humiditor with 2009 alec bradley presnado churchills. yea nothing special but when i season them they will by my smokable work of art. love the collection, bravo!
Not only a fantastic selection of cigars but a fantastic selection of humidors. I love how you pick up a Behike 56 and throw it back in the box and then come accross some more with the Cohiba Rubusto's and then another later on!!! Hahahaha.. I have only one 56 and told the guy at De Casa del Habano that i will smoke it the day I tell my boss to stick the job. I would love to pick your brain and talk cigars someday. Great video
I'm in complete and total awe after watching your video. The only true/puro habanos I've ever smoked were from Cohiba and Montecristo... Thanks to my good brother in law, who often travels to south America for vacation and for one very good reason. Thanks for sharing thrott73. Least I can live vicariously through you ( ;
Update, prior to the price hikes from 2020 onwards, my collection has grown to about 3500 sticks. I bought a lot less over the last few years and with regular smoking, i probably have less than 3000 cigars now.
Hi Skiddy, thanks for your comments. Trading would only be preferred if we are in the same location as going to the Post is simply too troublesome. Apologies. Whereabouts are you?
Nice collection partagas serie D No 4 are really good same with the hoyo epicure no 2 although those do tend to have right draws this is one of the biggest collections I've ever seen this guy needs a walk in humidor
Very nice collection and I am sure the cost is high and it's your passion then it's worth it. I collect some things are more than the average cost of rent or a car payment but when I have it and my family is taken care of then I might buy something for me. Good luck and enjoy.
the close proximity of the cigars and the fact that they are in the same humidor will lead the aromas to marry but do not worry about that, its not going to alter the distinctive base flavors nor taste of the cigars.to seperate them , you can also try insert a cedar sleeve inbetween. specific to your question, i would say take them out, its better to have as little foreign matter in the humidor, in my opinion.
@ajarguello4 Thank you my friend, Here in Singapore the humidity is already very high, at about 80% It's fine to just leave the cigars in humidors without a humidifier. I've been doing it for more than 10yrs and they smoke well and without bugs. However, I do use a humidipak controlling device for a few of the humidors. and I also breathe them by leaving them in an airconditioned room as required. cheers
Thanks Mike for the advice and suggestions. I live in Singapore and the climate here is a few degrees warmer than Cuba .......all year round...... Cheers
hi AntjoCac just for this video i hv placed the humidors on the floor. otherwise, i am using a bookshelf and that works perfect. there is no real need to convert a closet into a humidor. thanks for suggesting
Nice collection sir! Now, I being from the US have never *COUGH* *COUGH* experienced that lovely twang and spice that only a well aged cuban cigar can provide.........or so i've heard. Love your humidors as well!
Cigar prices have been going up over the years. Thankfully the Singapore dollar has appreciated as well so that helps to cushion this expense. Many of these cigars are over 6 yrs and officially classified as Aged. I'm just glad i started relatively young. Cheers
@thrott73, I am usually at Con Divan. had some issues with Olde Cuban.. No idea where in CMPB to go.. Chances are we would have seen each other. nice collection!!!
Very nice. I haven't had any of the cigars you have. But a few of them I would like to try. I go for more of the Arturo Fuente or Alec Bradley cigars. But yeah you have got a great setup there buddy.
Hi jsysurreal , medium strong i would recommend the following not in any order of preference: cohiba robusto, ramon SS, elrey choix supreme and sancho panza belicoso for starters. Cheers
Hi Locorodman, I'm in Singapore. I buy them locally or from Spain or switzerland and Hongkong. i kepp a rolling inventory of about a thousand cigars so it's been like that almost all the time since a long way back in terms of optimum, you'll have to try it every now and then to check on the smokability. you never know. but 6 mths in the humidor should be a fair time for a smoke .
Amazing collection, Ive just started my own here in Australia, Im finding myself trying more and more cigars but finding not much can beat a good Cuban. Prices are a bit high here in Australia and we have plain packaging now, so ill be trying some online Cuban Cigar purchases soon.
ben1238, i think its simply becos i had the lens near the cigars. look at them against my hands and that will give you a better guage of their sizes. cheers
Captainjinks: Unfortunately i couldnt video my complete collection. The Boliver belicoso , gigantes and royal corona are always part of the loot Cheers
oh becos i have one hand holding the camera and the other hand left to handle the cigars as well as to balance myself while squatting down to reach the humidors which were placed on the ground
at different stages of my cigar journey had different favourites. right now it's probably the Unicos which i actually stopped smoking since 2004. bought a box some months ago in commemoration of Robaina. smoked great straight off the box, every single one.
to Gwee1975: good to see a comment from fellow Singaporean. there are quite a bunch of us who are cigar lovers. i guess we dont know each other becos we would hv already known each other. i'm mostly at Con Divan, CMPB, and occasionally Olde Cuban. was weekly at Regent Hotel in the past. hope to bump into you one of these days. cheers
Really impressed. Good to know I aint the only Singaporean collecting Cigars. Well my collection isnt as extensive as your, I am sure I will get there one day. See you at Divan one day, or Chinatown area. For all you know, we might have already met...
The humidors are all acquired seperately. In fact , i bought the humidors along the way as my collection got bigger. As for the voice, i hv no comments ;)
Im new to Cigar smoking but really like cigars, any advice for a cigar newbie I have started with Cuban Cohiba's but was unaware that there were different types of cuban Cohiba's shows what I know.
Thanks for the recommendations Ruffle. My preferred picks remain Cuban although i would agree that there are many non-cubans which taste great. On the subject of humidors, i have 17. Many are featured in this video. Cheers
Hi Kleankutken, perhaps you can put it to full screen and you can see better anyway... Cubans are common here in Singapore. most folks in the cigar smoking community do cubans. they cost about the same as dom rep cigars in Singapore. As mentioned couple of my friends have a few times the size of my collection. literally worth in the hundreds of thousand dollars. we all enjoy our own cigars, no jealousy nor hard feelings required sincerely
Let me qualify that by saying that, the aromas may get mixed simpl becos they linger in the same humidor but after lighting and smoking, a unicos will still smoke like a unicos does, despite sitting in the side humidor beside a bolivar belicoso for years.....
Hi Ken Smith, La Gloria Cubana is from Cuba. The ones being sold in the US cater to the US market due to the embargo and are different. There are several Cuban brands which have non cuban cigars catering to the US market. Regards
ftfisher4x4 Habanos SA probably won't even sell cigars to the US because of General Cigar also if they do the tax on them would be outrageous like in Canada or UK
TmpPell866 Not enter a lucrative market because of what would then be competition? I'm not seeing it. What I do see is the Cuban government taking trademark cases to court. They can't now because we have no diplomatic relations. When that is no longer the case, the Cubans will insist on having what is theirs. They will seek to recover their brands. I see a big shakeup in the market.
What are you using for humidification in all of your humidors? Maybe I'm losing it, but I didn't see any humidification devices in any of your humidors.
Cheers. I got my humidor on Thursday and some cigars I ordered came this morning. The humidor was spot on at 70/70 so I've put the cigars in. The different brands are in separate corners of the humidor and aren't touching. Will this stop the aromas marrying? I was also wondering whether I should leave the Siglo's in their individual cardboard boxes to help prevent this or am I ok taking them out? Thanks in advance.
I have added another 100 boxes in 2020 becos of some silly restrictions in import of tobacco to my country. On hindsight, i should hv added another 500 boxes instead. Cigar prices have gone up again worldwide..damn

Hi Djam, yes i have been smoking cigars since around '98 . I keep about 800 to 1200 cigars at any one time. Thanks for liking. Cheers
Absolutely amazing! What a collection! I've just recently taken a liking to cigars and have started a small, one humidor collection hehe. very nice collection. However I am even more impressed with your humidors!
This video puts me to bed at night : ) amazing collection. Thanks for sharing.
excellent collection my friend, i wish america had cuban cigar shops.
Thanks Ketchup. Yes i hv tried Ashtons and other brands but my heart is with the Cubans. When it comes to my regular smokes. Cheers

That's beautiful!! The most amazing collection I've seen.
thx Derkon, the cedar wood is from the boxes of cigars. there is basically one in every box. i just reuse them in my humidor
thank you for your kind comments Jason. i'm just glad when fellow cigar smokers enjoy this video. cheers

yes, as mentioned, infact i do not used any humidification device in my humidors.
the levelof humidity in Singapore is already very high.
I'm blown away! ...wow!

I need a workout!
Yes cigars can be stored for years.
I still hv some from '98.
Enjoy your smokes newbie or oldie or otherwise
Wow! Nice collection you have. Delicious stuff.
Yes robusto is one of my fave formats, you are right.
i think you need to invest in a nice stand up humidor to show off all those awesome sticks.... very nice collection
this is a crazy valuable collection.. nice.
Well done bigfitz.
I started late when i was about 27.
You'll been having the time of your life!
Thanks for watching

Wow!!!!!! This is the biggest/Nicest collection I've ever seen.
Thanks for the kind words Jim. All the best, enjoy your cigars!
For me, it's the taste, aroma, culture and community that draws.
Cant believe its been almost 4 yrs since i filmed this
Time to update
Make an update video
Nows it's been 11 lol
Very nice. I haven't had any of the cigars you have. But a few of them I would like to try. I go for more of the Arturo Fuente or Alec Bradley cigars. But yeah you have got a great setup there buddy.
your collection is amazing
Yes it does i got the BHK 54 and that cigar is the most complex cigar ive ever smoked!!!
Hi jsysurreal , medium strong i would recommend the following not in any order of preference: cohiba robusto, ramon SS, elrey choix supreme and sancho panza belicoso for starters. Cheers
Outstanding collection.
Awesome collection!
Aaron, there are quite a few cigar retail shops in Singapore with a full range of Habanos including very rare ones.
Hi Locorodman, I'm in Singapore.
I buy them locally or from Spain or switzerland and Hongkong.
i kepp a rolling inventory of about a thousand cigars so it's been like that almost all the time since a long way back

Hi guys, sorry i havent been replying becos i havent check back in a long while. I use boveda packs for humidification.
at different stages of my cigar journey had different favourites. right now it's probably the Unicos which i actually stopped smoking since 2004. bought a box some months ago in commemoration of Robaina. smoked great straight off the box, every single one.

That's an amazing collection man
Makes sense lol, you should make a video on how to season a humidor
Thanks John, i buy them all them time. This makes sure that my inventory is rolling and i will almost always have aged cigars to smoke.
yes a humidor is still necessary. singapore's humidity is about 85%.
By far the best Cuban Collection I have seen Thrott. Will you be making any other videos, or have you purchased any new boxes?
Let me qualify that by saying that, the aromas may get mixed simpl becos they linger in the same humidor but after lighting and smoking, a unicos will still smoke like a unicos does, despite sitting in the side humidor beside a bolivar belicoso for years.....
You Sir are a Cigar monger. This video has tempted me to start collecting
@oMrzubier You can inhale, though it's not generally recommended. The point of smoking a cigar is a nice, flavorful, relaxing smoke.
Hi Ken Smith, La Gloria Cubana is from Cuba.
The ones being sold in the US cater to the US market due to the embargo and are different.
There are several Cuban brands which have non cuban cigars catering to the US market.

Throttle Indeed. That will be interesting when the embargo is lifted. I can see some court cases over branding.
ftfisher4x4 Habanos SA probably won't even sell cigars to the US because of General Cigar also if they do the tax on them would be outrageous like in Canada or UK

BRILLIANT I AM JEALOUS!!!! I HAVE ONLY GOT TWO CIGARS IN MY COLLECTION. WORTH AROUND $100 NZD.
Well, thrott73... Take out your crayons, and color me jealous! I'm new to cigar smoking, but I'm enjoying the journey. Thanks for the vid.
What are you using for humidification in all of your humidors? Maybe I'm losing it, but I didn't see any humidification devices in any of your humidors.

All the best

Fantastic collection, very impressive. Must have cost you a fortune. Happy smoking.
Norrie54, thanks for watching.
