Alois is my favorite character for a reason to be honest.
-He doesn't play the victim in the anime he just wants someone to love after losing his brother. In which we cannot forget that Luka was the only person Alois could rely on, Alois didn't know his parent's.
-While everyone's saying Alois Isn't innocent who abuses hannah. Hannah really isn't innocent neither is Luka, hannah killed luka after killing everyone else in the town you can imagine how scared Alois was after being all alome after he found out his brother died. In my opinion hannah should have waited until Luka was old enough to ACTUALLY think about his decision on sacrificing himself.
-And after all of that he was put in an orphanage and was harassed inside of there, which he was also abused at a young age, and sexual harassed. Alois actually believed he coukd trust claude which is why he treated him in such a way. How do y'all not expect this young man who's still a teen BTW. To be sain after all of those things.

I will vent what I feel about this character.
as soon as “alois trancy” was introduced in the anime, I didn't like him. he was... strange. he laughed all the time, and he was super hyper. and then I started to really hate the character. I didn't like anything about him. I thought and said several bad things about Alois. but then... i found out, by a comment on a social network... he was abused. I felt so horrible... the worst person in the world. “It must be a joke...” I thought. I called my friend very nervous, (she had known the anime for a long time, and she was the one who introduced me.) she answered, and asked what it was. I stammered laughing while crying... “it's a joke, isn't it...?” she didn't understand anything. “Alois... suffered abuse..?” she was quiet for a few seconds. “I wasn't going to tell you that, because I know that you take these issues of abuse and pedophilia seriously, but… yes. he was abused.” it was like a thump to me. I felt like the most terrible person in the world. how could I do that...? and everything just became clearer with each episode. I felt like crap. nothing. I apologized so much talking to myself... I cried so much... “I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I'm sorry alois. I'm sorry...” I kept saying this for a long time. I'm really sorry I didn't pay attention, or give the character a chance. but now i don't know how to fix everything i thought and said. alois is... just a broken boy. but when I got to see that, it was too late, and he was already dead. it was just a brief outburst of how I felt, and I know that feeling like this because of a fictitious character may seem silly, but I feel so guilty that I couldn't help but comment here TwT
I understand, I hated Alois as well because I thought he was too much like Lizzie and I hated her. But when I realized he had so much more that was wrong with him I hated myself for hating him. I understand him so much now, he and Ciel are the characters that made me get into so many of things that make me who I am.

I liked that Alois was portrayed as the opposite spectrum of what happened to them. Ciel became the doesn't like to be touched, anti-social, cold person that refuses to acknowledge any part of his truma unless forced to. Whether it be his s*xual abuse or occult torture. While Alois went on the complete opposite side of that. He became more out going, wanting to be happy all the time even if he wasn't, always keeping the charm on because he knew if he didn't his only choice of survival was gone. Neither of them actually abandoned their way of survival, they just introduced it to their daily lives. Alois via treating Claude like he would Earl Trancy and Ciel by keeping people at a arms distance and keeping his eyes open for any sudden movements with the people around him.

This song does relate to Alois life, he has been treated badly by a lot of rich people and he was a slave. It makes sense that he behaves this way, he wants a sense of belonging. He even lost his little brother which makes it more sad to top it off.

It's really common sadly. Most kids where I'm from get told make sure you count the hours if you get kidnapped to know where you're going. Always told after the first 48 to just expect to never go home cause your either be dead by then or shipped off already. And people wondered why we were so messed up.
