That looks like a lot of fun to play on guitar. That Ibanez is beautiful too, not sure on the fanned frets thou.

fanned frets help balance the string tension. normal guitars are running 22.5-25.5 scale length and these are too short for extended 7th string especially for drop tuning. however having a too long scale length like 27inch will make guitarist feel hard to pick the high pitch strings as they are more tighten up. therefore with the fanned frets design. you can keep the tight tension for low string while playing smoothly on the high strings
