Best hit ever was i had a whole pilly on a float line wound up while we moved but when we stopped the pilly was about 6 inches in the water next to the motor and a 14kg spanish ate him, my first thought was it went in the prop but the line tearing across the surface showed how wrong we were, very lucky to get him

Dunno champ you haven’t battled a 12cm garfish on a Kmart telescopic 7” combo with twine on the spool for 10 minutes on a 6 meter high pier in gale force winds... Or a pinkie on a blue tackleratz combo on the surf... Get them into ya then we can chat mate 😂

Most epic strike I have ever seen wasn't me but my dad next to me when I was a little guy. He was fishing an old school plastic worm on a Carolina rig at lake Oroville in Norcal. He had just finished his retrieve and was laying some knowledge on me but wile his worm was dangling about 6 inches above the water and about 6 feet from his feet a large mouth bass jumped out of the water and took the worm. It wasn't a monster by any means but I have never seen anything like it. Another one that was mine involved a catfish pulling my brand new rod in the water and about an hour later I snagged my rod back. The fish was gone but I got my rod back and ill take thay any day. Love the content bro, cheers.

Most epic strike would have to have been balloon fishing of the cliffs in Shark Bay WA. After 8 days it was our last chance to catch before packing up and driving the 12 hours home. We decided the night before that we would fish for an hour or 2 just after dawn. I had a storm gardie with a pink skirt to go out and with a gentle wind at my back I let my bait off the 15m cliff face. I had already released my balloon and 100m of line to pull my bait clear the waves below. As my bait was dragged past the back of the white wash from the waves BANG!!. A 26kg Spanish monstered my bait jumping 4-5m out of the water. It was an electric feeling!! I was lost for words but was screaming for someone to man the cliff gaff as I worked it around to the gaffing spot. All done in 10 minutes and what makes it more special is that I was able to get it past the sharks. A morning I'll never forget.
Love the channel keep it up. 👌

Nice workout! Most memorable strike for me as a kid in the 80's out at flat rock. Lifting a lure out of the water and a 20kg spanish took it in the air, don't remember heaps from my childhood but I remember that, and my old man yelling at me not to let go of the rod.

You’re a gamer Sammy; small boat, blowing wind and bouncing seas. Watching Whitey bounce around trying to land the mackie looked painful. Great GT eat, what fun to watch it from the front row. Great video from a legend, well done! 👍

G'day Sammy, mate I was out in the swan River with my son , we were dragging a few lures about and he landed a 44 cm talier, now it doesn't sound massive but my little fella is only 6 years old....it was a good strike it jumped out of the water doing some acrobatics and the little fella was stoked . Love you're content as well mate

Most memorable hit for me was back a few moons when I was 12, we were getting short of bait and slowing packing up to leave when I caught a live prawn by hand and offered it to my dad, he said you caught you use it and showed me how to rig a love prawn, it hit the water and was in for maybe 30 seconds before I got a hit and hooked up, it was an average hit that had me connected to a small bream around 20cm but its life was about to come to an abrupt end 1 meter from the shore as the biggest flatty I had ever seen had it for lunch.
The line started screaming and my excitement was off the charts, but dad thought I had loosened the drag and told me to stop making about, that was until he saw it, a good 5 to 10 minutes later we dragged it up the shore only for it to spike my dad snap my line and bounce from dads hands back into the water.
Dad is still apologetic today 26 years on as we estimate it to be between 1 and 1.2m.

Best strike was a 12 kg pacu biting a friend's micro lure. We were piranha fishing with UL rods on a lake and I saw that monster coming out and taking that tiny lure. We were fishing from the same kayak so I was paddling for him while he fought that beast on his 4 lbs spinning rod LOL. The fish was ready to be lifted but gave a last shake before and came off the hook. Will never forget that

Best hit I've ever had was at the reef I threw away a pilchard head and all of the sudden spannos and shark mackerel were swiping at it my brother tosses an old piece of bait you'd use for coral trout in the water and hooked a small Spanish sadly we lost it but I did the same thing and just as I could not see the bait I left the line on free spool and it took off in my hands set the hook and caught my Pb shark mackerel

I was standing on a reef about 50 yards off shore and I just cast a nomad floating stick bait and I saw 2 large bluefin trevally swim up to about 7 feet in front of me so I reeled in my lure as fast as possible and I got it to about 4 feet in front of me and gave it a few twitches and one of the blue fins turned about 90 degrees and absolutely blew it up right there in front of me and screamed my reel it ended up being 12 pounds, great fight and a hit I’ll never forget.

My most epic eat would have to be late in the day on Oberon dam west of the great dividing range, west of Sydney NSW and we had fished really hard for no results. So we managed to hunt down some Mudeyes/ dragonfly larvae, i then proceeded to chop a chunk out of my thongs, pluggers, jandals. I tied on a outfit running mono a straight through footwear to appropriate hook rig and walked out berries deep to deploy a mudeye. After only managing to throw it about 4m I was walking back to dry land when line started leaving the reel all by its self. Result was after flogging every recognised form of the fine art of Trout fishing while staying at the big trout motel, weed bug on a thong got a nice hen rainbow trout to salvage the trip. Was after check out and a last ditch effort after doing sun up, check in and arvo into late night and before sun up. Not my best fish but a WTF fish.

it was a cold winter day around 5am the sun barely started to shine and i was beach fishing using a popper. and out of nowhere came that huge queen fish. what was exiting is the fact that it came from underneath the popper and very slowly inhaled the lure no jumping no splashing at all. the lure just disappeared . took a but 6 mins to reel it in
