  • Lin-Manuel Miranda has described Alex Lacamoire, the Tony and Grammy winner for In The Heights, Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen, as a "genius." In talking to Catie Lazarus, Lacamoire reveals how he works in music with his hearing impairment. Clearly, Broadway's go-to musical director, arranger and musician hears what matters. He is the "secret weapon," and has re-invisioned music for musicals, like The Lion King to Hamilton, operas, like Carmen, and, now, major movies, such as The Greatest Showman and he is at work on more with Lin-Manuel Miranda.
