Only Women Bleed is probably be my favourite Alice Cooper song . John’s version was used in a domestic violence awareness campaign in the mid nineties. Australian Tina Arena she also has a cover of Only Women Bleed that is similar to John Farnham’s version .
Alice and John did great versions of this song, but for me it is Elkie Brooks version that i like most. Right from her Vinegar Joe days with Robert Palmer I have liked her.
So glad a few reactors are picking up on this track...which I think is one of his standout performances. But I think the subject has put many off the song. So thank you.
John does a good job, but for me it will always be Alice Cooper. Had the album when it first came out in 1975, also the 1972 School's Out album [with the lift up imitation desk lid front 😆] Alice has always been in my collection - was so unhappy when I had all my vinyls stolen in a break in. But John does a great job, just have my fave.
@@HeavyMProductions It is awful when folk take things that mean a lot. We had a break in years before and they only took a laundry basket to carry the canned food in - never felt a twinge about that break in - some people are just in need and that stuff is easily replaced.
@@Mediawatcher2023 The tour and concerts were in 1994 and called The Talk of the Town Tour to celebrate the success of the Then Again Album The second half of the videos has him in the black shirt you see in this video. Enjoy!! 😊 😃 m.ua-cam.com/video/-2d_4J_QzWM/v-deo.html
The point of this song is the acknowledgement, by men, of the fact that we have caused our women immeasurable pain. I have heard some women sing it, and it sounds like a complaint. It's much more powerful, coming from a man.
So awesome!!❤

We should be using this song now with all the women that have been murdered this year in Australia by a family member 🇦🇺 😢

So true Gary. I think Lisa's part in this was the perfect female part. John really knows how to arrange songs to make them his and his band's. ❤️
