They also took the song "I Just Want to Celebrate" to the top ten in 1971. As for the instrument riffing at the very end of the song, the melody line suggests bebop trumpet, but the sound is more like a saxophone than a trumpet, but it could be a guitar run through a fuzz effect of some sort. I'm not sure, but it's most likely a saxophone. PS. All the top ten talk is not to say the closer to number one the better the song, because what makes one song better than another is subjective. But it is to show how popular a song was back when it was new with an indicator of how likely it would have been to randomly hear the song on the radio back when.
