I flew from Houston to Buffalo NY, then rented a car and drove to see them (Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings) at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario Canada on July 20th, 2022! It was fantastic seeing these legends sing and play live. I was almost in tears hearing all their great songs that brought back so many memories and feelings. Great songs, they just got the hang of it. They wrote quite a few classic songs, and came up with good ways to play and arrange, and make their records. Burton Cummings, kind of just blessed with the vocal chords for it, and fortunately was able to learn piano early on, and saxophone, and came up with a very cool flute solo for ‘Undone,’ with the use of mostly just five notes . Randy just kept getting better at guitar and had the talent to come up with lyrics to make a song, (American Woman) among others, without worrying about it. They’re not Jethro Tull, Zeppelin, the Stones or Beatles, but they liked them all. They had great influences, and it reflects in their own great music. They definitely deserve a place in the R&R Hall of Fame.

Randy Bachman is one of the most underrated guitarist ever. He was "tapping" years before Eddie Van Halen. What a great talent. Thanks for the memories Randy, Burton and the rest of the band 👍
Eddie's gift was not just that he was a very proficient tap player and player in general. He also was an incredibly gifted guitar tech. He wound his own pickup windings, greatly effecting the sounds he could achieve.

Him and Cummings wrote some of the best songs to ever come out of Canada. It's a damn shame those two, along with the other Guess Who members, haven't been recognized for their accomplishments in RNR.
I love Burton Cummings. I saw him at Knott's Berry Farm years ago, and his performance was flawless. His voice cut through all the instruments and was dead on key. When he cuts it loose, it's very powerful, shrill, and accurate. Quite a gifted talent, indeed.

this goes to show that you don't give up on wieght loss.i saw Bachman around this time and he was Huge!!!!!! now he looks fantastic!!!!!!!!better than 1969!!!!!!sure wish all four could get along!!!! they could make a fantastic record!!!let Gordon do a intervention(LOL)!!!!!!!!
The days when they could get along were over 50 years ago.
i don't think bachman and cummings ever really got along.
Better than originals, love it.
Burton Cummings of TGW is vocally in the same league as Jay Black of Jay and The Americans and Raul Malo of The Mavericks.
I'm guessing that this is the only thing anyone remembers from those pan am games.
Awesome 👍
alot of great bands used to come out of wpg
No need for this this band to act crazy and smash their gear, the talent and taste is present.
Sweet Hot tunes brother!!
Canada's Beatles!!! Period......
1999 and a reunion and maybe 2020 if not for a pandemic hope it rocks !!! for 2020 ??? FINGERS CROSSED !!!!!
That was great what else can I say ! Those guys can FN play >>
Randy is an incredibly great guitar player and very whale like.
Did you know the Beatles decision to call it quits in 1970 for a while elevated the Guess who as the biggest seller on the planet
For a spell
For about 2 days
@@randallkennedy2066 yeah but as a Winnipegger even 2 days makes me proud
I SEE THAT BURTON KNOWS THAT HE HAD A (god) RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF HIM FANTASTIC. PLAYING HIS SECOND MOST FAVORITE BABY BLUE ELECTRIC GUITAR. RANDY PLAYING. HIS GUITAR. I BET IT MADE HIS MOTHER PROUD. HOW BEAUTIFULLY DONE. GO!GO! GO! RANDY. BEST AS CAN. BE. BURTON, KEEP PRAISING HIM. FRIENDSHIP MADE IN HEAVEN. AND COLABARATORS MAKING GREAT MUSIC. I BET THEY REALLY REALLY, REALLY, LOVED IT.
You're making this stuff up. Typing your fantasies in full caps doesn't make them true.
DON'T U REALLY THINK I AM MAKING ALL THE WORDS I TYPE IN FULL CAP, MY FANTASTIC IMAGINARY THINKING. DON'T U THINK I COULD FEEL LOVE. FOR THIS TWO GUYS. THEY ARE WONDERFUL. THEIR MUSIC ALWAYS, MADE LIKE THEM MORE, ALWAYS. I AM SIXTYEIGHT YEARS OLD NOW. AND I STILL LOVE THEM. BECAUSE THEY ARE ALIVE. AND THEY CREATED SUCH GOOD MUSIC. IT TOOK TWO PEOPLE TO MAKE ALOT OF PEOPLE HAPPY. ON BOTH COUNTRIES. IN THE USA AND CANADA. I ALSO HEARD THST THEY WERE POPULAR ON THE UNITED KINGDOM. SO HOW IS THAT A FANTASY? HAVEN'T U BEING FOLLOWING THEM THROUGH THE YEARS. THE GUESS WHO. HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR MANY YEARS. OH BY THE WAY, HOW OLD ARE U? MAYBE U ARE MUCH YOUNGER THEN I AM. SORRY. I DON'T WANT TO BE PICKING ON A YOUNGSTER. HAVE A GOOD DAY, YOUNG PERSON. BUT IT WAS FUN ANYWAY.):):)(:
@@rosalindamartinez9634 Why are you shouting? I have been following The Guess Who since before Burton Cummings joined the band. I remember the first Guess Who record I bought. I have read Randy Bachman's autobiography.
Una maravilla, demasiados momentos inolvidables. Son esxtraordinarios.....aprovecho de preguntar ...¿quien es el de la bandera chilena? Grande compadre....
ba Ba Baby, you have not seen the best YET
god dam what a great bass ime
Yeah and none of the guys after Kale play it correctly.
I still don't see how this group isn't in the rock and roll hof along with Bachman turner overdrive
American Woman, to me one of the best song in Rock-History ♥️
🥰
Oh my gosh I always bragged that he could play the piano the guitar the flute I did not know about the harmonica till now oh wow he probably plays the drums too I'm not sure about that but I'm sure he can. And like I said on one of the other videos he's a great actor also in the movie Melanie he played one of the starring roles the other big actors with him was Paul Sorvino and Don Johnson it was a very good movie and well done and he did sing and play piano.
wow, that is great.
There certainly was an abundance of talent with those guys. Too bad egos, greed, lifestyle, mismanagement, and a stifling producer cheated all of us from enjoying more.
Oh well, what might of been.
Outstanding!!!
Rock at it's best. SC woman
randy bachman loved burton cummings going crazy !!
If it weren't for Burton Cummings vocals there would be no Guess Who. I'm not a fan of rock ballads, but I kept a watch on them after These Eyes due to that.
No but there was also bachman Turner over drive
So, what's that got to do with this? BTO vocals were secondary to their music.
@@themoviemaniac8416 you are correct, I just thought to promote wpg a little
Wpg is hurting these days
Cheers Einstein
Thanks for that, but no need to be a snot. Maybe you make a channel and promote stuff there?
