I’m in southern Maine near the NH border and we lost power at 1:30am Thursday morning and it didn’t come back until 5:45pm, and we don’t have a generator but we do have a wood stove for emergency heat. My poor mother in law who lives right next door still has no power as of 10pm and after spending most of the day at our house is being stubborn wanting to sleep at her own house. I think it’s in the 40’s in her house and I’m incredibly worried about her- she’s 82. Please pray that she’s ok tonight. I’m hoping her power is restored soon! The worst of this storm was definitely the wind. On a side note- we’re itching to de-winterize our camper, too.
Hi Laura and thank you for watching. I certainly wish your Mom in law the best. Temp outside here is 35° but it’ll warm tomorrow. And it’s still spitting snow. I think after having a mild winter, Mother Nature is letting us know Old Man Winter will be back. And with a vengeance! Btw, what do you have for a rig? I’ll be dewinterizing next week. All the best!
We bought a used 2015 Flagstaff microlight FBKS 23’ towable just last April. We absolutely love it. There’s just the two of us and a dog so it’s perfect for us. The only downside- I just recently heard that schwintech slides don’t handle weight well, and our kitchen is on a schwintech slide. I heard our model was discontinued so I wonder if that is why. We’ve had no problems with it so far, though. It doesn’t even bother me that it’s a 9 year old camper, it’s in near perfect condition. I just hope we don’t get excluded from any campgrounds once it hits the 10 year mark.
Hey Mike, I'm down in North Carolina waiting to head home to Massachusetts probably Saturday or Sunday. Been in Florida, Texas and North Carolina for the winter. Have jury duty on the 11th otherwise I would still stay here in the south til May!😄 Keep on keepin' on!
Chippa is the man.
Zach! The? A maybe. Ha! All the best!
