Thanks for reacting and for sharing your insights! In the part starting from 10:34 they were representing the 'Manongs' which were the first generation Filipino immigrants to the US. A Pinoy Historian named Kirby Araullo actually talks about this MV and its references in one of his videos. I hope you can watch and react to it. 😊
A very insightful reaction video! Thank you for this. I'm so glad I found your channel, and we Magiliws welcome you with open arms hehe. It's the history presented in Kasmala that hooked me to be a Magiliw in the first place~ Also, super agree with what you said in the end about reconnecting to our roots. If you want to see the references in the other clips in this MV (like Alas being washed in the first scene or Taneo's part on the ground XD), you can check out a vid entitled 'Historian reacts to Kasmala' I think.

May twitter thread po na nag eexplain tungkol sa ibang meaning ng nasa MV ng Kasmala. Talagang nakakaiyak sya. It was actually reacted by Afterhours UA-cam channel. At if hindi nyo po napindot ang CC, may English subtitles po para maintindihan ang kanta since iba-iba po ang language. Bisaya at tagalog lang kasi naintindihan ko sa Kasmala eh😅

Thanks for sharing this review. I Am not a Filipino from Philippines but from Europe ('cause i'm born in France) so i don't have a lot of knowledge about the past of this country. So it's really great to see other Filipinos talking about the Philippines History. I really like this group so much is more "Filipino" than other groups (by the style and other stuff cultur they want to show) and this what i wanted to see & listening other dialects it's awesome too.
