I always buy numbered cards. OK yeah, there are lots of sets and every set has so many #'d cards per set, but nothing wrong with them. I just sold a 1/1 of CMC PSA 9 for 375 bucks, which was probably on the cheap side since Burbank Sports Cards sold it for $500 a few months ago.
This is absolutely the biggest issue that will impact the value over time, numbered cards are no longer special. Now you have to focus on only true colors lower numbered, gold etc. I don't mess with anything really after 2020 product. You can clearly see 2018 even silvers maintain a certain value and newer releases you can get a silver prizm rookie for $50 for a top player
Nearly 99% of collectors can’t afford a Wemby black, Gold, prizm… so they won’t be seeking those. The question is what they will seek. I’ve moved off Prizm for about 4 years now. Also, Panini isn’t going to take a loss, when their cash cow is leaving next year.
your kobe video from like 3-4 yrs ago helped me. i remember you said if all the kobe investors were in the same room what cards would they want. so i sold all my kobies except 6 and bought a grail kobe patch auto gold /10 on card auto championship game used card from timeless treasures. epic move. thx for that info u gave out
You also have to compensate for new investors and collectors entering the market. Damage cards, lost cards, and other crazy things. I mean, of course, people will look at different cards over other cards as time goes by. This hobby is long-term and for most short-term. You don't know when 5k or 10k new collectors enter the market. So hear you, but I'm still looking for short prints and rare cards. Collect responsibly and enjoy the hobby. Video felt like a horror show, lol! No disrespect, and we appreciate the insight.
yea it's all a scam....no surprise all the content creators pull signed and numbered cards that get shipped directly from the producers.........did you see the @toppsstudios Shohei 50/50 collection? OMG TRASHHHH clearly a cash grab
I watched the LeBron James investment card video. Wanted to know your thoughts on his topps chrome PSA 10 rookie. I feel like it’s his most iconic card and it is trending around 4k when they were 40k during covid. Or would you still recommend his rookie autos in the similar price range. Thanks
Good info! Do you think the 2012 Kobe prizm auto is a good mid/long term investment or would you rather put $2500-3000 into something else? Advice please?
Thank you! Love the Kobe 2012 prizm auto. Positioned to be a super safe longterm investment imo with first year Prizm holding great significance and those coming down to quite low levels
It would also be interesting to see whether retail or hobby parallels of the same numbering are the same in value. Retail numbered cards are much harder to pull
Some of the parallels that were poopooed by people for years will end up being very sought after in another 5-10 years. It's true black, nebula, golds. Then after that some of the best parallels are gonna surprise people. Cherry Blossom has a chance to be huge IMO. Don't forget in the nineties, lots of cards were discarded and/or disregarded as "cards for kids," or "goofy looking." Now they are the most sought after. Gotta take todays wisdom of a grain of salt. Also Panini and Topps' biggest mistake is thinking the secondary market doesn't matter to them. It matters tremendously. If the secondary market crashes and burns, they will as well but currently, they are trying to do everything they can to kill it.
Interesting video. I agree to an extent. Non numbered parallels will not hold value over time. I feel numbered /99 and less will hold value to an extent. It is usual for rookies to drop in value in the 2nd year and Wembys prices were vastly inflated.

Panini isn’t going to stop…. Watch how much value they put in unlicensed prizm and at what price point.
Great Video And Thanks For The Pop Education. 🎒🏫📚🎓
