3 other great songs by eluveitie in no particular order, aidus and ategnatos because they have music videos and those are easier to react to, but my favorite song by them is probably slania's song or uis elveti
I agree with you completely, this is song is just the MOST EVERYTHING! So far, I've not heard one bad song by them and I've been binge listening to this band since I first heard them. I've also looked into info on them a fair bit and have been meaning to tell you, but it would be like a huge paragraph if I pointed out the important parts in comments here, but I can lol. This band truly does kick ass! Love your reaction! 🤘🤘🤘🖤🫶
Thx for your great reaction👍💪 The songlist from eluveitie is full of masterpieces and the newest is named AIDUS… you should react to this piece💪🤟
Great choice, but it's "el-VAY-tea".
King is one of their best. I've been listening since 2007; the two songs that got me hooked are Inis Mona, and Slanias Song. I'd also recommend Thousandfold, Havoc, and for a taste of their acoustic album, Omnos. IMO, you're getting peak Eluveitie here; their best was from 2008's Slania to 2014's Origins. Their new stuff is ok, but without Meri, Anna, Iwo, and Merlin, it's just not the same.
I'd say to also check out some folk metal from other parts of the world, like Hungary's Dalriada, Russia's Grai and Arkona, Israel's Orphaned Land, and Spain's Lándevir. \m/
Eluveitie means Helvetic or todays swiss. There were some celtic influences in the far past.
Eluveitie - Rebirth is a good one
The song is not about being your own king or something like that, well not directly. It's about the gallic king Ambicatus circa 600 BC. So that means that the band deals with ancient celtic themes, that's why they incoporate historic instruments such as the hurdy gurdy. There is nothing norse about that... many people often confuse germanic/norse culture with celtic culture or they think only irish = celtic, which wasn't the case 1500 years ago. Or think that anything ancient european is "viking" 😂
You can see celtic symbols throughout the video on their clothes and instruments and the singer has a lot of celtic tattoos.
oh yea I've noticed the celtic, but the cool thing about music, doesn't matter who wrote it or what it means to the writer/composer, it can mean something totally different to the listener and help them in different ways then the artist had thought of, music is magic
It is pronounced El-Vay-Tee and try the song "Rebirth"
