Ep. 3 - Taking It To The Streets

The past few weeks, I’ve gone to my local park, then to the most popular park in Austin, now I’ve taken it to the streets. I’m learning that changing up the stuff you skate, even if it’s the same tricks goes a long way to helping mastering board control. Skating these small 4 stairs with my homie Stefan was a nice change of scenery. This is the biggest thing I’ve tried to ollie down & the conclusion I’ve come to is skating is so much harder than I initially thought.
My biggest problem right now is overthinking & second guessing what I’m doing. There is no do this, then that in skating, everything should be one smooth motion. The art of the ollie is a manuever that happens in a matter of 1 second. It’s pretty cringe watching myself skate I’m not going to lie to you but it’s extremely helpful. Thanks for bearing with me along this journey. Soon I might build up the confidence to talk to the camera instead of just chopping up film. I barely know what I’m doing though so it’s pointless in trying to explain anything. Like, comment and all that. Share this with someone who would roast the f*** out of me. I could use the advice!
