All my boats now have at least 2 small round fenders on them. They are incredibly strong and able to roll a truly staggering weight over a big distance. I used it to move a 5.5m plate boat over 100m with 1 other bloke. Even if you don't think it will ever happen to you again it might make all the difference to someone else.
Mate we use either a stern anchor or a anchor with a float set out in the deeper water with a pulley and rope back to shore to pull the boat out off the bank. Use this all the time in the Gulf and NT works great.
Great video, honest account of what happened hopefully helps others out . Many boats lost on the islands up there from anchoring and changing weather etc.
Cheers mate i've been hanging out for the kids to get older to start taking them out more. The sand flies knock the kids about and its hard to tell them to not scratch themselves to pieces.
G’day mate just discovered your channel couple of tips how we roll up here in the Kimberleys with the very large tides we always back the boat to the beach with the nose facing out large anchor in the front and another anchor in the rear . Tie a rope to a tree or rock up on the beach. And there’s always a 20 L jerrycan of water in the hull of the boat just in case🇦🇺🍻🤠👍
We never to old to learn Mate….Here’s a tip, I use frozen 5ltr fresh water bottles as my ice in the esky, still makes a good slurry and I know I always have an extra 10ltrs of fresh water for emergency situations…tight lines 🍻
We dont normally take an esky on our trips as you see in our videos, we try not to take too much fish only what we need for a few feeds so it normally just gets processed down and put in the fridge. but a bloody good tip none the less mate.
lured me in with the clickbait mention of 'youngbloods' aka Mossy but stayed for the adventure, similar situation up the Hey in Weipa, had to offload nearly everything from the tinny to get it clear in the middle of the night, something you only ever do once unless youre a complete gronk. Great vid thanks.
Gday James we have been working with an aussie manufacturer on our hats to get them to what we think works for us. fingers crossed we will have something finalised in a few months. we want our gear to on point and last.
unfortunatly mate smooth sailing and me never enter the same conversation mate. should have named the channel never a dull moment fishing. Cheers for the feed back
A very brilliant and interesting adventure.

Had a similar experience at Hinchinbrook. Got there on a king tide and didn't realise. Was stuck for 2 days and had to wait till 3am for the tide.
