1:47 I'd like to expand on this tip. A super useful place to find guides is on Steam. I find that on there, it's incredibly common for there to be at least one achievement guide for the whatever game you're trying to complete. Not only that, but there are also other really helpful guides that focus on a specific area of the game, like collectables or items for example, which can end up making things a whole lot easier. If you're looking for something very specific that isn't listed in any of the guides, there's a chance someone may have already asked what to do or where to find it, in the discussions tab. Alternatively, assuming you have an account you can ask the question yourself. You don't even need own the game on Steam to contribute in conversations.
I miss the days I enjoyed care free gaming, boot up a game play it however I'd like and enjoy the ride ! Now it's just a constant routine of assessing the trophies and then grinding the life out of it until the platinum finally pops then immediately deleting the game and never touching the game ever again..except skyrim😂.
I have the best technique for avoiding burnout. I constantly have 4 games in my rotation at all times, each one significantly different than the other. One will be a sidescroller, the other an open world, the third a movie-type game, and the fourth an experience.
burnout can't be avoided cause it can happen at anytime no matter what you try worst burnout i had was not gaming or turning on my console for a solid month
@@Fallout7295 I stopped gaming for a year. Got into crack, gaming became way more fun. Quit the pipe, gaming became a crutch. Gaming will always have your back.
I enjoy getting plats (more like all achievements on steam) but i want my first playthrough to be fully blind without any input from a guide or things like that so I do have to do multiple playthroughs quite a lot. Me enjoying the game is more important than the plat for me.
The best tip is for sure have more games to play at the same time. Im like playing 10 or more games right now. I just hate being stuck on one game. I can't really do it. Expecially for Lego games...1 level per day and im outta there into another game. For telltale i play 1 full episode (2 hours normally) and im out. I never like to rush games.
Auto-pop trophies devalue a collection, in my opinion. I might try the wishlist feature in the future. And I share your opinion about mental health. That is a very important part.
I never play 1 game for more than 2 hours. If it's online session - i play for 6-10 hrs too. But mainly i play a game for 2 hrs & then switch to a different game. I always keep upto 10 games in rotation. I am not exactly a trophy hunter but i do have a few plats under the belt. Switching games can help avoid burnout. Another thing - play a game to enjoy first then think about trophy. I only go for trophies if i love the game or else I pass.
This is a brilliant idea for a video Sandrezz!! I’ve been trophy hunting for years now so I already know all these things, but back when I was first starting out I used to search for tips & tricks like this ALL the time and was very eager to learn as much as possible. This kind of information is super helpful especially if you’re new to the scene. Keep up the great content!
Side note for #4 A trophy being common doesn't always mean it's easier. I'm playing DJMAX atm and most of the hard trophies are more common than some 3-4/10 difficulty games 😂 Other than that this video is great! It'll help newcomers a lot :)
To be honest, I feel the biggest tip you really want to focus is number 48: just have fun with your game first, it's the most important thing of a game. I don't platinum games because I want to be competitive or want to show off: I just want to enjoy my games to the fullest, and show my proof with a shiny trophy. And I also want to spread news of unknown, niche games someone might like or not. I tend to do that often so I always like to give my 2 cents about a game someone might not be aware of,
Man I simply love your channel and tips, I mean, you are the one who put me into trophy hunting.Even though you are a small channel, don’t give up, your content is awesome and I wish you had more recognition.
Yes playing different games is very good advice I'm working on days gone, ghost of Tsushima, Batman Arkham asylum, and play each one on different days.
Playing multiple games is a great tip for sure. When I first started trophy hunting I would only focus on 1 game at a time and wouldn’t move on until I finished it, but this can make burnout and fatigue far more likely. I like to have at least 2 games on the go now and usually plan them out so they mesh well together. (Ie. if I’m playing a long, grindy game, my 2nd game will either be something relaxing, or one of those “pick up and play” type of games)
"don't pay someone to Platinum a game for you" that's just too funny. A close friend of mine actually did pay me to Platinum a game for him. The game was the witness and the trophy is called challenge you had to do a puzzle in like 5 minutes took me two tries and he gave me a 15$ psn card.
Let me help you out. 1st get a 2nd controller for each system you have. 2 make an alternate account to try out new games before you hunt the trophies to see if you even want to pursue the Platinum. PS3 Online is free you can platinum a bunch of cool games for relatively cheap.
I’m planning on starting trophy hunting. I’ve been watching other trophy hunters on UA-cam and I’ve already made a new PlayStation account for when I get back home in a couple days so that it can specifically be for getting platinums. I’m also going to upgrade to extra and for my first I’ll probably go for far cry 5 it’s on extra and I’ve played the game before and I loved it, it’s also got an amazing soundtrack. Like you said about not getting burnt out I plan on deciding on multiple games to start to switch between I’ll probably just download as many as I can at one time on the platinum account that I want to platinum. Don’t plan on going for anything really hard in the beginning, I’ve got no problem with grinding out and things taking time but with things like cuphead or things like Batman the challenges and not dying or keeping combos or using all combos without getting hit I’m definitely not ready to take those on. I didn’t know about all the features of psn profiles I usually have just been typing up a specific game that I’ve seen videos of people going for to see if I want to do it. I also want to do red dead redemption 2 but I’ll hold off getting it because I know it’s so long, everyone’s said it’s a great game though and even though I’ve pretty much spoiled a lot of it I can’t remember some of the shit that happens and I still haven’t experienced it myself.
Dude i stumbled upon this video 'cause I'm thinking myself to make a new account, but I don't know if I should! I don't wanna do it because of what other people think of my completion percentage, I couldn't care less. It's because of my OCD! I can't stand those 1% trophy lists! I just want everything neat and clean. But at the same time I've got trophy lists on my main account like FFX REMASTERED or DEMON'S SOULS that I wouldn't want to do all over again to be honest. So I don't really know what to do! If only Sony would give us that damn option to delete trophy lists man!
Unpopular opinion: Horizon Zero Dawn is boring, I've been trying to platinum a bunch of the bigger games like Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, and Spider Man, so I started Horizon and I just can't get the motivation to finish even the story.
You’re absolutely right. I Played the games you mentioned recently and had a blast getting all those trophies. But I couldn’t get into horizon. It got repetitive really fast.

This might not be a popular viewpoint but...to hell with platinums (indeed for many older games with online only trophies they and thus the platinum might not even be possible). See first how many bronze/silvers you can get (all four trophy types "level you up") and then go for the platinum when and if it comes within striking distance. I'm guessing though that those the vast majority(?) of trophy hunters are platinum or bust, right?

Platinums are only "embarrassing" if you actually care what other people think. And if you do then you have bigger issues than platting a Mayo game.
You seem to care a lot about what other people should care about, Jim.
Or you have the cognitive ability to view yourself through a third party version of yourself, and you are embarrassed with yourself as yourself.

1-chose your games : it's easier to obtain trophies on a game you like than a boring one, even if it's a low level one.
2-play one game at a time : the more you'll play it, the more skilled you will be and even hard trophies will drop easily.
3-hunt trophies IF YOU WANT TO : trophies just show that you have done some actions in the game but it won't give you anything else (or so few).
