actually, my hype lvl was zero before blizzcon . how simple to make d2 players happy.. pvp back old dark graphics back open world gameplay runes and more i just want to create my character for my own playstyle and atmosphere still i have fear about scenario d2 was best they completely changed the game created a game which doesn't diablo anymore. i hope new generation players will love d2 kind a diablo game
I would like to present to you my list of feedback concerning artstyle for diablo4. Art and ascetics are a subjective topic, this is why I had to gather enough screenshots and references to prepare this list. I think they are doing big mistakes that nobody talked about. Some smaller mistake could become bigger once they develop the game further.
I've been wanting a demon class, too. After seeing how much D4 is likely to be like D2 (especially after the devs see all the feedback from the *extremely* vocal minority that are D2 purist fanboys, I had just about decided not to even follow D4 news anymore and not bother buying the game. A demon class, though, would make me reconsider buying D4. It would be amazing!
I’m surprised they haven’t expanded on the Amazon class. Have her with 3 talent trees, Ranger for bow & Arrow, Hunter for a pet and traps, valkyrie for melee.
i like the grift mechanics as a endgame, but not powercreeped as in d3 now where you do trillion of dmg... and were rng gives you small maps or bigger maps. they all gonna be big maps in d4 so this would be perfect for it. ofc you have to adjust it so you dont get like 10 legendary per run etc. maybe 1 or 2 .(even if higher difficulty only 1 more etc)
Personally I would prefer if they just skipped rifts and grifts all together and same with adventure mode. Return it to its roots of exploring the world and if they do a grift just make it a time trial mode with only cosmetic rewards at the end of a season or month or something.
The opening video used the same voice actor from ‘The Witch’; one of the greatest horror films in recent times (it doesn’t rely on jump scares). Also; how wrong I was in thinking they would only release a 10 second teaser trailer.

The family dynamic was solid, how they used the black goat to foreshadow the evil the worked it's way into the family. *Muah* magnifique! But this is about d4 and not a movie.
They cant do this. Riot games is coming to hunt them away from their "throne" since 1995. If they allow monetization to be a thing they wont make any money in the Future because riot games will lead the game market then. Thats also why the announced these games. They need to do sth otherwise they loose their leading position in the gaming Genre. This means no mistakes allowed for blizzard.

The two things I am hoping for. 1-Add some of the features from TurboHud (I am not a competitive player, so I took no leaderboard spots using TH). Blizzard should have done that years ago. It adds so much value to the gameplay of D3, such as damage output calculator that actual works (looking at you sheet DPS). 2-Lets not punish solo players in every way possible. In terms of game progression solo players were severely hindered. Less item chances because of the limited ability to trade. Less XP by default. Higher monster damage vs player count ratio. A 4 man team had to do 1/3 less damage per player while getting more XP. Solo players also have to balance every aspect, such as dealing damage while also being able to take damage. The progression rate in solo was a small fraction of group players, which was compounded when you see the top solo leader board players are also the top group leader board players. You know full well they got all that gear and progression during group play. I would just like for a solo hour to be worth the same as a group hour, or at least offer a true single player mode. Dont punish me because no one I know plays any more and I am not fan of playing with random people.
†Liberty or Death† - I think Arkaine’s Valor was the first unique item I ever came across in D1, when I got it I was like IM NEVER TAKING THIS OFF! Lol
Rahis - haha absolutely! that’s the part I missed the most in D3, where you’re just moving through the labyrinth and then boom all of a sudden you’re in the butchers den and hear “fresh meat” and he’s like running at you, it was terrifying and exhilarating, not knowing what was around the corner. In D3 it was so choppy with like a dungeon load screen and then a WWE entrance before every boss fight, it took that element of surprise and continuity out of the game. I liked how the Butcher was just there, he didn’t need an introduction. I liked how Diablo, the main fucking boss, was just there take it or leave it. I’m glad at least by the looks of it they’re bringing that back to D4
I think the last 2 classes will be a ranged class like you said (along the lines of DH/Amazon/Rogue), but the 5th will be a shield class (Paladin/Crusader), because with the arsenal system, there's no way Barbs will be using shields, and someone has to use shields! I think the Druid already covers the "weird" that you mentioned, but with the expansions, there's will definitely be room for Necro/Witch Doctor (Poisons, disease and death), something that fills in the missing part of the Venn diagram of DH/Amazon/Assassin (Traps, thrown weapons and mid-ranged combat) and maybe something that focuses on Arcane and Enhancement that's entirely new?
Diablo 4 gameplay and graphics are good. But what it is truly missing is immersion. I feel like I can just walk into an area, aoe, and just roll through monsters like nothing while spaced out. Please have a fresh person who has never played diablo 1 and diablo 2 and let them play it. They will experience, fear, terror, scary heart dropping ambience, struggle, and punishment for dying or making a mistake. If i die, and my check point is 3 seconds away, and I fight the monster at half life; what's the point of even playing if you aren't scared if i mess up. If you take out those human factors like how you did Diablo 3, it will not be a hit. Find a music director who makes actual good music that keeps your heart racing during the game. Not some music director who makes music that feels like it should be in the game. The developers should also feel the game crawling up their souls; not be in awe of the graphics. It doesn't take good graphics to have immersion. Remember how hard diablo 1 was for starters, if you were ganged up by 4 monsters, you die. The risk / reward MUST be balanced to our human standards and casuals must be punished or forced to group up or look up youtube for how to overcome a situation. Same concept applied in diablo 2 until you got really geared. If diablo 4 is a faceroll, people are going to play it through once, and quit. It needs to immerse and take us back to the sh!thole bottom. Logging in just to do dailies or quests just to maintain a supply of items is not considered gaming; it's just a farmville app. Don't turn this into a farmville app game. True games will give players the drive to grind out 16 hours if he has to. NOT 15 minutes... And don't make uniques and legendaries such a common thing. When I saw the mob boss drop a legendary and unique items; I already felt like puking. If we are spoiled with uniques and legendaries so much, we would place EXACTLY NO value on it if it ever did drop. You can trash this message and call me a noob; but I made it certain that I left my honest opinion those to see. I was with blizzard in the very beginning from warcraft 1; and I know exactly which blizzard games I can STILL grind out for 8 hours straight and keep playing vs a blizzard game I can only play for 15 minutes and quit out of boredness. We are addicted to struggle, working hard, investing, and reward. We don't want epics, legendaries, and cupcakes shoved in our faces after 1 hour of playing.
*First Hope... it should make it on Playstation 4* *Second Hope... a Monk or a Demon Hunter coming back would be also good* As for the last Class they can do whatever they want with it , consider a Warlock is non-viable since Sorceress is a Mage/Ranged Caster however , a returning Necromancer is viable..... Also the Crusader Class could make it if not a crusader class then it should be Monk , cuz there is not Melee/Support class yet revealed on Diablo 4... Demon Hunter would surely be a pretty solid returning Class since no ranged other than Sorceress is yet revealed 👌🏼
About classes. Ranged class and some kind of supporter should be added to the game. On one screen with weapon art we can see crossbow, so there have to be some class which can use it. Also there was some kind of a monkish lance so either it is a comeback to D2 barb weapons or it's for different class. About legendaries. Do You remember D1 unique items? These really powerful had affixes in plus but also in minus. For example +10 STR; -10 Magic and so on. I really want to see that in D4! It would be great to choose between power with weaknesses, where You have to learn to play with that weaknesses and patching weaknesses but with cost of power.
It would be kind of cool to see a new class brought to the diablo genre, otherwise I'd personally like to see a return of the amazon. Altough its too early to say what would be good/bad since we dont know if the game will go back to the combat style of d2 or just have thousands of things happening all over your screen ike in d3. Im pretty hyped about the pvp but I highly doubt that it will be well developed balance wise or even be a big component of the game, If you ever tried the pointless pvp in d3 you know what im talking about...

They unveiled D3 in 2008 and the game wasn't released until 2012... From what I've seen and heard from the dev on Rhykker's video, everything that was playable was everything they had "ready". I'm gonna say 2022 is probably the earliest we'll get D4, so the wait is going to be long and tedious.

the biggest issue that will plague Diablo is the end game. what will it be this time? Lilith runs? Rathma runs? boring, repetitive work from solo boss runs to optimise loot reward should be replaced by meaningful "group only" rewards. also, the smart system from D2 where player count increases enemy attack/hp and attributes in exchange for better loot should be included again.
I don't understand diablos reluctance to make runewords the best end game items like in diablo 2. It makes it so you can always work towards your end game build, collecting the runes as well as the item to place them in. but most importantly, runewords gave diablo a currency, everything having its worth in ''high runes'' is what made diablo 2 one of the only legit trading economies ever. Need a shaco? thats 1 HR, which now shako has a value. please blizzard
If there's no Necromancer in the base game, im going to be disappointed. Guess i might as well start feeling disappointed now... 3 out of the 5 classes are from Diablo 2, their masterpiece so it seems like they are going back to what made D2 legendary, so my speculation is the last 2 might be from D2 as well. Necromancer and Assassin perhaps. Traosin!
If blizzard wants to entice former players, they need to bring back assassin, necromancer, paladin and amazon class. Which looks to be the case since they’re basing the game more off D2. If that’s true then I’m probably going to preorder.
Cinematics are always nice, but they do not do games justice most of the time. 5-6 years dev time. Cosmetics is templates you can probably buy to open up new faces, tattoos and scars for your character, depending on class and theme. Expansions will expand the map, until its all covered since Diablo IV seems to be here for the long haul, competing with games like Path of Exiles and other new ARPG/MMO hybrids that might come within the next couple of years. There is currently 3 tiers of trading, which makes sense on the paper, and hopefully on execution, something the devs want your feedback on. Treasure Goblin is back. Potions is something they wanna "fix" and make it better since cool-down isn't something they like. You can play the game completely solo without fear of loosing out on any kind of bonus, be it loot or xp or something else. World Bosses is something you can choose to do, its not something you need to do however.
Mounts? Character customization? Why are they trying to make this game like WoW? We love Diablo because it's NOT WoW. Just because it makes you more money, doesn't me we want all games to resemble it.
I Play Necromancer and Druid and Monk for Diablo so if they bring back any of those i will be so satisfied.... i love the druid also tho he was always a bad-ass shape-shifter and necromancer was my 1st and always prime character but i had to sub out for monk until it was patched in to D3
I have heard talks about a paladin class in Diablo 4. It would make sence to counter the darkness but then again how usefull would that be when u enter a dungeon where the light has never been before and anything holy connection is cut off. They could even add 2 new classes at launch becouse when they intreduced the 3 classes they did mention that the sorceress was very fragile and if that is the case then it is highly likly that the sorceress uses very high ranged combat dmg. So we have a standard melee Barb, ranged Sorceress with a returning Druid. the 2 spots left are most likly going to something that isent standard. I can se a redesign Demon hunter or WitchDoctor making 1 slot as they only been in 1 game where the Necromancer have been in every game. But then again would they leave out the classic necromancer or save it for expansion to make room for 1 more new class.
The gameplay and art design was slightly underwhelming. Nothing about it screams Blizzard design. It really is closer to Wolcen than I'd like. B2P with MTX may be a VERY hard sell relative to POE. I think they should have fully gone with the POE model. It remains to be seen if they will generate enough continuous endgame to update it properly. The said they plan to update content through expansions. Again, the POE model beats them there too. I am mildly interested in D4 at this point.
I honestly fill like the reason its taking so long is next gen consoles. Like okay you bild it mainly for pc so i can look and play its best. Then you got to take away stuff to put it on the crummy ps4 pro and one X i play on. But now you got next gen witch will be much more like a pc but very different in alot of ways. If its releasing about a year or 2 after next gen then that gives them breathing room for tinkering Im blown away that there trying to fit it on the base consoles xD

5th class is Innkeeper. He has a huge expanded inventory for potions and scrolls, which he can sell or dole out to other players as quest rewards, but he can't wear armour or hold a weapon. His starting skills are "Express Gratitude" and "Listen To A Long Story."
Are you blind? They are having BOP and BOE for all good items. Trading will be limited via clans. There will be no AH. It's nearly identical to D3 with how you can just trade mats and low tier items. They haven't listened at fucking all AND it's a reskinned D3 - admitted by a dev. It's a slightly modded D3 engine that's why it looks like shit still.

It seem like D4 is basically going to be a D2 clone with updated graphics. Especially after all the D2 purists are done giving feedback to Blizzard. They're the most vocal players, *by far*, so they will likely keep getting what they're crying for. Personally, I think that's a bad thing, but to each their own. I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy it that way.
Some things to addend maybe: Monetization: was confirmed in a panel that it will be base game cost, expansion cost, and your listed cosmetic microtransactions. Also worth noting, confirmed no added power microtransactions (so besides cosmetics could be stash pages, etc). Dark open world: the 5 massive regions you refer to are encompassed in the gameplay map when zoomed out. The darker area to the farthest south portion is reserved for future expansions. Trading: at this point, an item can fall into a 3 tiered system, wherein, it could always be eligible for trade, be traded 1 time then soulbound, or soulbound. Lastly, there's ancient legendaries back and an additional tier called Mythic that contain multiple legendary properties per item limited to 1 wearing per character. Notable mentions: magic find is back and how it's being implemented is under discussion, but they don't want to sacrifice power for mf. Thanks for putting this together and of course we all know alot will likely change by release (which is confirmed not soon even by blizzards standards).

Hey @Raxxanterax ! My idea for a unique class would be some kind of Puppeteer: they would be similar to necro but they just control and manipulate their surroundings and enemies. Function has a heavy support class with buffs and zone control for groups but transition to a glass cannon pet for solo damage.
I think people thinking it won’t come soon is misplaced. The presenter said it was coming out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The PS5 and Xbox scarlet will probably be coming out soon. Now I get they will probably port the game to those consoles eventually like they did with D3, but I think it’s going to come out sooner. I predict it will come out in 2020. I will edit this comment if I am wrong or right.

I only hope there is NOTHING taken from WoW and put into the game. No animations like the stupid hand rubbing for every and any animation. No enemy mobs, or pet mobs from WoW. Diablo and starcraft came before WoW, are better than WoW, and should be given the respect they deserve for Blizzards early popularity ! In the last decade blizzard hasnt made anything that wasnt cartoony with WoW art except (arguably) Overwatch.
Id predict something along the line of a paladin mainly focusing on buffs and healing with tanky but also damaging abilities. Mainly because of the World bosses and the MMOish elements.
I hope by solo they actually mean that you can play offline, otherwise you can play D3 completely solo as well...what's the difference? I doubt they will have offline though...one can hope
On an different note, is there any information on the wings you’re supposed to get from buying a ticket? Last time I checked there was no information online nor were they in the actual game.
They should implement a group forming thing like when you want to do a meta game there is room for 1 wizard/sorcereer a healer and a barbarian etc so it won’t be so much time consuming. You could offer yourself as a barbarian and the game makes a game with other players of other different classses which are needed.
@7:40 Back in the long gone days of D2, I got myself to level 97 and 98 and into the top 10 and top 20 Amazon ladders for two Seasons using a build of my own design. Called the Palazon, or sometimes the Lagazon, I had no Bow or Javelin skills, instead maxing out my Valkyrie and Passives. She wasn't a fast killer by any means, and the mechanics of dodging could sometimes be frustrating but she could tank anything, including Uber Diablo (but not the Trio), for... well, almost forever. Doing the Lag Dance on a Lagazon was a great solution to playing on dial-up from Australia. I don't think I can remember all the names but the key runeword was called Passion and gave me +1 Zeal and +1 Berserk. Combined with other +skill items, including the sword that gave Barbarian warcries, I got these skills up to around level 10(?) and had a choice of runewords for either the Rogue or Guard follower that gave me a variety of auras, some of which were too expensive for me to ever get my hands on. Most of the items I used also gave me +% damage to Undead/Demons making up for my lack of damage, and Berserk was, of course, perfect for fighting things with reflect. I also had a wisp from some ring or something. I always thought that zealous Palazon had a better ring to it than berserker Barbizon. My point is that, despite the shortcomings, playing my Palazon was the some of the most fun I ever had in Diablo. While everyone else was drooling over the power of BotD, and using Enigma and that sword with the warcries (I want to say Chains of Honour but that was armour) just because they gave you big damage, teleport, or buffs, I was successfully playing an Amazon that relied on Paladin and Barbarian skills. I was playing an Amazon with skills belong to Paladins, Barbarians, Sorc's (some sort of frost shield proc'd from the armour IIRC), and Druids. AND IT WAS FUN. I've always thought that this was what runewords were meant to be: not overpowered items that allow you to get to and one-shot the end-boss in under 90 seconds but ways to completely change how the classes play. What I want from D4 is a game with more Passion and less Breath of the Dying.
I wasnt a fan of d3, I enjoyed it for what it was of course, but I was in love with D2 and classic Diablo, and my favorite class of all time is the original necromancer, and I hope they bring it to D4 aswell as the Paladin, Amazon and Assassin, would love to see these old classes amped up, I just hope the story and gameplay is better than d3, no idea why it didn't catch my attention...
I honestly dont think the graphics seemed very dark themed. It reminded me of gritty world of Warcraft. There's no thick atmosphere like a diablo game should have (minus d3)
My main question is about stash! Will we have unlimited stash space, will our mounts have stash space, and so on. I think in our stash box it should be unlimited!

Özgün Diablo 2 players will never be happy. If any tiny aspect of Diablo 4 is different than Diablo 2, they’ll hate it.

The progression rate in solo was a small fraction of group players, which was compounded when you see the top solo leader board players are also the top group leader board players. You know full well they got all that gear and progression during group play. I would just like for a solo hour to be worth the same as a group hour, or at least offer a true single player mode. Dont punish me because no one I know plays any more and I am not fan of playing with random people.

Rahis - haha absolutely! that’s the part I missed the most in D3, where you’re just moving through the labyrinth and then boom all of a sudden you’re in the butchers den and hear “fresh meat” and he’s like running at you, it was terrifying and exhilarating, not knowing what was around the corner. In D3 it was so choppy with like a dungeon load screen and then a WWE entrance before every boss fight, it took that element of surprise and continuity out of the game. I liked how the Butcher was just there, he didn’t need an introduction. I liked how Diablo, the main fucking boss, was just there take it or leave it. I’m glad at least by the looks of it they’re bringing that back to D4
I think the last 2 classes will be a ranged class like you said (along the lines of DH/Amazon/Rogue), but the 5th will be a shield class (Paladin/Crusader), because with the arsenal system, there's no way Barbs will be using shields, and someone has to use shields! I think the Druid already covers the "weird" that you mentioned, but with the expansions, there's will definitely be room for Necro/Witch Doctor (Poisons, disease and death), something that fills in the missing part of the Venn diagram of DH/Amazon/Assassin (Traps, thrown weapons and mid-ranged combat) and maybe something that focuses on Arcane and Enhancement that's entirely new?
Diablo 4 gameplay and graphics are good. But what it is truly missing is immersion. I feel like I can just walk into an area, aoe, and just roll through monsters like nothing while spaced out. Please have a fresh person who has never played diablo 1 and diablo 2 and let them play it. They will experience, fear, terror, scary heart dropping ambience, struggle, and punishment for dying or making a mistake. If i die, and my check point is 3 seconds away, and I fight the monster at half life; what's the point of even playing if you aren't scared if i mess up. If you take out those human factors like how you did Diablo 3, it will not be a hit. Find a music director who makes actual good music that keeps your heart racing during the game. Not some music director who makes music that feels like it should be in the game. The developers should also feel the game crawling up their souls; not be in awe of the graphics. It doesn't take good graphics to have immersion. Remember how hard diablo 1 was for starters, if you were ganged up by 4 monsters, you die. The risk / reward MUST be balanced to our human standards and casuals must be punished or forced to group up or look up youtube for how to overcome a situation. Same concept applied in diablo 2 until you got really geared. If diablo 4 is a faceroll, people are going to play it through once, and quit. It needs to immerse and take us back to the sh!thole bottom. Logging in just to do dailies or quests just to maintain a supply of items is not considered gaming; it's just a farmville app. Don't turn this into a farmville app game. True games will give players the drive to grind out 16 hours if he has to. NOT 15 minutes... And don't make uniques and legendaries such a common thing. When I saw the mob boss drop a legendary and unique items; I already felt like puking. If we are spoiled with uniques and legendaries so much, we would place EXACTLY NO value on it if it ever did drop. You can trash this message and call me a noob; but I made it certain that I left my honest opinion those to see. I was with blizzard in the very beginning from warcraft 1; and I know exactly which blizzard games I can STILL grind out for 8 hours straight and keep playing vs a blizzard game I can only play for 15 minutes and quit out of boredness. We are addicted to struggle, working hard, investing, and reward. We don't want epics, legendaries, and cupcakes shoved in our faces after 1 hour of playing.

As for the last Class they can do whatever they want with it , consider a Warlock is non-viable since Sorceress is a Mage/Ranged Caster however , a returning Necromancer is viable..... Also the Crusader Class could make it if not a crusader class then it should be Monk , cuz there is not Melee/Support class yet revealed on Diablo 4... Demon Hunter would surely be a pretty solid returning Class since no ranged other than Sorceress is yet revealed 👌🏼
About classes. Ranged class and some kind of supporter should be added to the game. On one screen with weapon art we can see crossbow, so there have to be some class which can use it. Also there was some kind of a monkish lance so either it is a comeback to D2 barb weapons or it's for different class.
About legendaries. Do You remember D1 unique items? These really powerful had affixes in plus but also in minus. For example +10 STR; -10 Magic and so on. I really want to see that in D4! It would be great to choose between power with weaknesses, where You have to learn to play with that weaknesses and patching weaknesses but with cost of power.
It would be kind of cool to see a new class brought to the diablo genre, otherwise I'd personally like to see a return of the amazon. Altough its too early to say what would be good/bad since we dont know if the game will go back to the combat style of d2 or just have thousands of things happening all over your screen ike in d3. Im pretty hyped about the pvp but I highly doubt that it will be well developed balance wise or even be a big component of the game, If you ever tried the pointless pvp in d3 you know what im talking about...

They unveiled D3 in 2008 and the game wasn't released until 2012... From what I've seen and heard from the dev on Rhykker's video, everything that was playable was everything they had "ready". I'm gonna say 2022 is probably the earliest we'll get D4, so the wait is going to be long and tedious.

boring, repetitive work from solo boss runs to optimise loot reward should be replaced by meaningful "group only" rewards.
also, the smart system from D2 where player count increases enemy attack/hp and attributes in exchange for better loot should be included again.
I don't understand diablos reluctance to make runewords the best end game items like in diablo 2. It makes it so you can always work towards your end game build, collecting the runes as well as the item to place them in. but most importantly, runewords gave diablo a currency, everything having its worth in ''high runes'' is what made diablo 2 one of the only legit trading economies ever. Need a shaco? thats 1 HR, which now shako has a value. please blizzard

3 out of the 5 classes are from Diablo 2, their masterpiece so it seems like they are going back to what made D2 legendary, so my speculation is the last 2 might be from D2 as well. Necromancer and Assassin perhaps. Traosin!
If blizzard wants to entice former players, they need to bring back assassin, necromancer, paladin and amazon class. Which looks to be the case since they’re basing the game more off D2. If that’s true then I’m probably going to preorder.
Cinematics are always nice, but they do not do games justice most of the time. 5-6 years dev time. Cosmetics is templates you can probably buy to open up new faces, tattoos and scars for your character, depending on class and theme. Expansions will expand the map, until its all covered since Diablo IV seems to be here for the long haul, competing with games like Path of Exiles and other new ARPG/MMO hybrids that might come within the next couple of years. There is currently 3 tiers of trading, which makes sense on the paper, and hopefully on execution, something the devs want your feedback on. Treasure Goblin is back. Potions is something they wanna "fix" and make it better since cool-down isn't something they like. You can play the game completely solo without fear of loosing out on any kind of bonus, be it loot or xp or something else. World Bosses is something you can choose to do, its not something you need to do however.
Mounts? Character customization? Why are they trying to make this game like WoW? We love Diablo because it's NOT WoW. Just because it makes you more money, doesn't me we want all games to resemble it.
I Play Necromancer and Druid and Monk for Diablo so if they bring back any of those i will be so satisfied.... i love the druid also tho he was always a bad-ass shape-shifter and necromancer was my 1st and always prime character but i had to sub out for monk until it was patched in to D3
I have heard talks about a paladin class in Diablo 4. It would make sence to counter the darkness but then again how usefull would that be when u enter a dungeon where the light has never been before and anything holy connection is cut off.
They could even add 2 new classes at launch becouse when they intreduced the 3 classes they did mention that the sorceress was very fragile and if that is the case then it is highly likly that the sorceress uses very high ranged combat dmg. So we have a standard melee Barb, ranged Sorceress with a returning Druid. the 2 spots left are most likly going to something that isent standard. I can se a redesign Demon hunter or WitchDoctor making 1 slot as they only been in 1 game where the Necromancer have been in every game. But then again would they leave out the classic necromancer or save it for expansion to make room for 1 more new class.
The gameplay and art design was slightly underwhelming. Nothing about it screams Blizzard design. It really is closer to Wolcen than I'd like.
B2P with MTX may be a VERY hard sell relative to POE. I think they should have fully gone with the POE model.
It remains to be seen if they will generate enough continuous endgame to update it properly. The said they plan to update content through expansions. Again, the POE model beats them there too.
I am mildly interested in D4 at this point.

5th class is Innkeeper. He has a huge expanded inventory for potions and scrolls, which he can sell or dole out to other players as quest rewards, but he can't wear armour or hold a weapon. His starting skills are "Express Gratitude" and "Listen To A Long Story."

Are you blind? They are having BOP and BOE for all good items. Trading will be limited via clans. There will be no AH. It's nearly identical to D3 with how you can just trade mats and low tier items. They haven't listened at fucking all AND it's a reskinned D3 - admitted by a dev. It's a slightly modded D3 engine that's why it looks like shit still.

It seem like D4 is basically going to be a D2 clone with updated graphics.
Especially after all the D2 purists are done giving feedback to Blizzard. They're the most vocal players, *by far*, so they will likely keep getting what they're crying for.
Personally, I think that's a bad thing, but to each their own. I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy it that way.
Some things to addend maybe:
Monetization: was confirmed in a panel that it will be base game cost, expansion cost, and your listed cosmetic microtransactions. Also worth noting, confirmed no added power microtransactions (so besides cosmetics could be stash pages, etc).
Dark open world: the 5 massive regions you refer to are encompassed in the gameplay map when zoomed out. The darker area to the farthest south portion is reserved for future expansions.
Trading: at this point, an item can fall into a 3 tiered system, wherein, it could always be eligible for trade, be traded 1 time then soulbound, or soulbound.
Lastly, there's ancient legendaries back and an additional tier called Mythic that contain multiple legendary properties per item limited to 1 wearing per character.
Notable mentions: magic find is back and how it's being implemented is under discussion, but they don't want to sacrifice power for mf.
Thanks for putting this together and of course we all know alot will likely change by release (which is confirmed not soon even by blizzards standards).
I dont mind legendaries...i do however mind getting 300+ in a session. Playing d3 is like playing d2 with loot drop mod.

Hey @Raxxanterax ! My idea for a unique class would be some kind of Puppeteer: they would be similar to necro but they just control and manipulate their surroundings and enemies. Function has a heavy support class with buffs and zone control for groups but transition to a glass cannon pet for solo damage.

I think people thinking it won’t come soon is misplaced. The presenter said it was coming out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The PS5 and Xbox scarlet will probably be coming out soon. Now I get they will probably port the game to those consoles eventually like they did with D3, but I think it’s going to come out sooner. I predict it will come out in 2020. I will edit this comment if I am wrong or right.

I only hope there is NOTHING taken from WoW and put into the game. No animations like the stupid hand rubbing for every and any animation. No enemy mobs, or pet mobs from WoW. Diablo and starcraft came before WoW, are better than WoW, and should be given the respect they deserve for Blizzards early popularity ! In the last decade blizzard hasnt made anything that wasnt cartoony with WoW art except (arguably) Overwatch.
Id predict something along the line of a paladin mainly focusing on buffs and healing with tanky but also damaging abilities. Mainly because of the World bosses and the MMOish elements.

They should implement a group forming thing like when you want to do a meta game there is room for 1 wizard/sorcereer a healer and a barbarian etc so it won’t be so much time consuming. You could offer yourself as a barbarian and the game makes a game with other players of other different classses which are needed.

@7:40 Back in the long gone days of D2, I got myself to level 97 and 98 and into the top 10 and top 20 Amazon ladders for two Seasons using a build of my own design. Called the Palazon, or sometimes the Lagazon, I had no Bow or Javelin skills, instead maxing out my Valkyrie and Passives. She wasn't a fast killer by any means, and the mechanics of dodging could sometimes be frustrating but she could tank anything, including Uber Diablo (but not the Trio), for... well, almost forever. Doing the Lag Dance on a Lagazon was a great solution to playing on dial-up from Australia.
I don't think I can remember all the names but the key runeword was called Passion and gave me +1 Zeal and +1 Berserk. Combined with other +skill items, including the sword that gave Barbarian warcries, I got these skills up to around level 10(?) and had a choice of runewords for either the Rogue or Guard follower that gave me a variety of auras, some of which were too expensive for me to ever get my hands on. Most of the items I used also gave me +% damage to Undead/Demons making up for my lack of damage, and Berserk was, of course, perfect for fighting things with reflect. I also had a wisp from some ring or something. I always thought that zealous Palazon had a better ring to it than berserker Barbizon.
My point is that, despite the shortcomings, playing my Palazon was the some of the most fun I ever had in Diablo. While everyone else was drooling over the power of BotD, and using Enigma and that sword with the warcries (I want to say Chains of Honour but that was armour) just because they gave you big damage, teleport, or buffs, I was successfully playing an Amazon that relied on Paladin and Barbarian skills. I was playing an Amazon with skills belong to Paladins, Barbarians, Sorc's (some sort of frost shield proc'd from the armour IIRC), and Druids. AND IT WAS FUN. I've always thought that this was what runewords were meant to be: not overpowered items that allow you to get to and one-shot the end-boss in under 90 seconds but ways to completely change how the classes play.
What I want from D4 is a game with more Passion and less Breath of the Dying.
I wasnt a fan of d3, I enjoyed it for what it was of course, but I was in love with D2 and classic Diablo, and my favorite class of all time is the original necromancer, and I hope they bring it to D4 aswell as the Paladin, Amazon and Assassin, would love to see these old classes amped up, I just hope the story and gameplay is better than d3, no idea why it didn't catch my attention...

I honestly dont think the graphics seemed very dark themed. It reminded me of gritty world of Warcraft. There's no thick atmosphere like a diablo game should have (minus d3)
