Arknights should fix its pity system because worst-case scenarios destroy whales and gate F2P's out of desired ops despite saving for months. You should be guaranteed to get the on-banner limited within 3 6-stars. That way only the max pot gremlins would have to suffer, and they already know what they're getting into.
If every limited banner works exactly like 120 pity count on Collab banner (one time only guaranteed, doesn't apply for dupes), things would be better.
I can attest to this... Got lucky with NTR who was my first limited... Didn't have luck with Gavial... Lucky again with Spectre... And now with Mumu...
@@ChaosMind10531 This was my first time getting the two rate up characters in 30 pulls. Every single rate up before that took at least 60 pulls. Ling and Yato made me go around 150
It has been known forever that what's good about AK's banners is the % of time you get 6 stars, not how often you get the specific one you're going for. Like, that alone in general is super good ontop of the game generously letting you farm currency etc. Aside from the recent update to the single rate-up banner that now has guaranteed hard pity, that's just how it has always been. And of course guaranteeing things with Gold Certs. Spark for limited's should have changed to 200 forever ago.
@@BinhGachaLover Arknights has the increment in 6* probability after reaching the 50 pulls without 6*, so that definitely makes up for it. Plus again, you get way more currency to pull in Arknights.
@@BinhGachaLoverfarmable gacha currency😎👍. As an f2p, I really like this system. I have nearly all 6* ops even though I only pulled on limited banners. I do understand the problem of the whales tho.
@@igualdableas someone who plays Blue Archive and Arknights (recently got into Nikke as well but can't judge it yet), I can say for certain that Blue Archive gives way more gacha currency to the point that I can easily save up 200 between limited banners while still rolling 50-100 on my favs inbetween. (In general BA gives 100 pulls per month for active f2p player, sometimes more as freebies) In Arknights as f2p it's impossible to get to 300 pulls between limited banners even if you purely saving up and don't pull for anything. Also 3% in BA means in general you get 3 max rarity students in 100 pulls, while in Arknights you technically get 1 per 50-60 pulls. In NIKKE you even have 4% but I don't know how much gacha currency you usually get there yet. Also about sparks. In BA your spark is 200 on every simultaneously running banners, not only limited ones. Sadly that spark resets when those banners go away. Nikke tho has 200 spark that stays. So basically you can pull 200 on any featured banner and then when some limited or pilgrim comes around, you can just buy them without rolling. Nikke also has some farmable thingies that when you open it, you have 60% or so to open a max rarity unit. So yeah, in general, although AK system is not bad compared to some other gachas, it has nothing on BA and Nikke.
First of, I'm sorry for the owner of the account. And I also wanna say thank you for all the whales out there for supporting arknights. The game still continuing until today mostly because of you all.
@@bockscar916 becareful Arknights fans are the LAST people to tell your game criticism to You will probably get spammed with bunch of replies saying how HG cured cancer after enough time lmao
The raw numbers are good, but getting what you want has always been bad and should be fixed, maybe with a variation of Genshin double pity where 1 offbanner means next 6* is rate up, and on a double banner doing that again would guarantee the other rate up. Would cause the statistical average would be 70 pulls for double rate up, 105 for 1 off banner in between, and 140 if both rate ups required double pity.
One of the biggest issues of making changes to the gacha system of a game is how to deal with all retroactive pulls done by every account that fit in the new system, bascially compensation.
Or at least make a proper limited banner reruns. I'm okay with the current difficulty rate of getting a limited 6*. But please at least give players better chances to get them. Making the exact banner as a one time occurance only then putting the limited character in the shared secondary rate up pool on the next limited banners is pure evil. Like, if you miss someone like Dusk or Nian, the most realistic way to get them is only through pity. Getting them from the secondary rate up is too unreliable. And seeing from this pov, Arknights gacha is not F2P friendly at all. Like, I don't have W. And as a F2P, I will stay W-less forever unless I'm really lucky as getting her is harder than getting the rate up 6* in the banner.
@@justawanderingoldman7699 texas alter was my luckiest banner i got 3 texas 1 penance 1 w 1 rosmontis 1 skalter . Same with lone trail banner i got 0 savings yet got both new 6 stars + a specter alter potential . I only missed 2 limited one of them is yato which i just used the free ten pulls and didnt even play after that , other is chalter 296 pulls with no limited , so far the bad luck happened only once but even so i cant get chalter anymore . I think they should make it so we cant get potentials for the non limited till we get the limited and the whole problem will be gone without much change . also if you only pull for limiteds you can most likely guarentee all of them but then not pulling for your favorite operators and saving for months isnt that fun
The issue is how to make money. Unlike Genshin who rakes in crazy money every banner. Arknights banner follow a particular pattern, very low amount of money made in non limited banner (despite how good the characters are or how famous they are) and get a decent spike on limited. It is in their best interests to keep things the way they are. That's why it looks like they are reluctant to make changes to the limited banner system while makes huge changes in standard banner systems. It is their main money maker
As someone who just got Mumu today after 213 pulls on this banner and 4 Hoho's, I concur that they need to change it to limited having MORE percentage than non limited. I am F2P so I can't do 300 pulls every limited banner, and I only got close to 300 on this banner because I had saved for basically 6 months while also grinding all the annihilation and character missions for extra orundum, which I cannot do next time I run into this issue...
@@theFrozenfires No, it's not terrible. You do realize you can get non limited from spook right? Limited you have to wait a year and only sparkable unless you get insane luck and pull low rate. Getting limited is FAR more important than get non limited on the actual banner. You will eventually random pull non limited, or buy in cert shop.
I got my mumu in the double mumu and 1 holo together pulls via ten pulls (190 pulls in total). Such a headache. My holo altogether P4 for God sake. I dont know anymore is this considered lucky or not. But for mumu, i had to pull for almost 200. PAINN....
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 imagine this, you're an f2p who only wants the none limited bc it's more meta or whatever, so what do you do? better skip the banner, or, you're a whale who wants p6 both characters, or just want p6 the none limited bc you like that character more, what do you do then? There's such a high chance you're gonna end up with p12 of the limited trying to P6 the other one. it's total rubbish. That's a huge fuck you the whales, and you don't want whales leaving your game if you're a gacha dev.
Not gonna lie to you..i've played this game way less because i keep getting really unlucky on banners, ESPECIALLY on limited banners. It's really not a fun experience.. Even getting the rate up 5 star is a pain the ass.
I feel so sad. So I'm a light spender, got a couple of monthly passes during the first months after launch and that was it. Because of how the gacha system and pity works the limited characters I didnt get I will most likely never have a reasonable way to get either. I lost Skadi, Chen, Scepter alters... I got 4 Sagas, 3 KalSits, 4 Mizukis and the list go on. The odds to be able to pull any of the limited I lost are so low and because of the banner schedule there is no way to get 300 pulls in between limited banners to begin with and I don't even pull for dupes, I get the limited and I stop and do only the daily pulls. It's just sad how it feels thats they are abusing the limited units and releasing them so frequently without reasonable consideration of how the gacha system works at all, but they make money out of it so it's fine for them. Just my opinion tho, hope you dont mind.
getting 300 pulls between limiteds isnt that hard actually its just you cant pull for operators you like just to get the limited . i only lost chalter i couldnt get her with 296 pulls the only reason was i used 120 pulls on non limiteds if i had saved for chalter i would have all the limiteds i have seen . still some people wants to pull for other ops too , best way to solve this would be not getting dupes for the non limiteds till you get the limited also giving you guarentee for the limited after 3 off banner 6 stars . this would help people keep some pulls for non limited banners as well which means a dedicated f2p player can get all the operators eventually
@@ConexCX no, 300 is very hard, even with monthly pass, impossible without it Well, if all you do is grind rocks to get miniscule gacha currency, then yes, maybe it is possible But no reasonable person gonna do that I don't waste pulls between limited and at most can go up to 200 with the help of yellow certs. Spark should definitely be lowered to 200 and I'd prefer previous limited to run simultaneously with shared spark. So now we have Spalter, Skalter and NTR, why not just give them all their own banner?
@@arthorias06 saving 300 pulls is really not that hard i do it almost everytime with no grind, saving 300 pulls just needs you to farm the events and use recruitment for yellow certs if you dont pull for non limited banners then till the anniv you get 300 pulls, this is what i do since i started arknights and i got 300 pulls almost everytime the only problem with this is you cant pull for other ops such as how i needed to skip ines a character i wanted since the darknights event just to get the limited , i got all my limited banner results in my notepad i got all the limited so far with all my pulls being atleast 273 with only exception being lonetrail which i still got Mumu with no savings i litellary got her only from the free pulls (82 pulls only gained trough anniv) still lowering sparks to 200 would be really nice it would mean i could keep around 100 pulls in my pocket and use it for non limiteds
not to mention i did 605 pulls on texas alter banner also in between limited there was non limiteds i pulled for wasting around 60 pulls with them i could get 300 on every limited banner but again you are not wrong because if they dont change the limited banners i wont get a lot of non limited ops i really want (goldenglow,Ines,Mlynar,Blaze,Exusia,Archetto,Pallas,Lin,Fiammetta,Horn) this are just some ops i couldnt get for the sake of limiteds after years of playing
I'll be honest. I used to feel like I could pick up most interesting operators. Now I feel like I have to save everything for the two limiteds a year and still not get one of them. While once Arknights was a very comfortable gacha where I could play mostly ftp and get by, now I'm missing most new operators and still not always getting what I target. And with the limited, you miss them and GG unlike others where you can wait for the selector ticket or yellow cert.
@@bockscar916 No sweep is definitely annoying also. Though I guess I did put up with FGO for a time, which didn't have even an auto function. I think the currency rates and banner rates were fine for before the limited banners were introduced. 50-60 ish pulls for a pity 6 star with an accumulation rate that rolled over between banners was really not too awful. You only had 50% chance of the rate up, but they were added to the general pool so they could spook you later and worst case scenario you could yellow cert buy them long down the line. It's mostly the limited banners that fucked everything. The pity accumulation doesn't roll over between limited and non limited, so idly pulling on interesting nonlimited banners fucks you over now. Then the 300 spark cap is insanely high for the rate at which currency is earned. Limiteds aren't ever rerun again either, making them hyper scarce and brutal to get if you missed them. Then they always are on split rate up so the odds of getting the limited are less than for a regular nonlimited banner. But an occasional limited banner as a special thing was fine, like W being the first. But now it's like half the new banners are limited banners. It's really gotten pretty bad at this point. Literally I used to have an ocean of currency and felt safe pulling for most banners, then one specter alter banner fucked me so hard that I had to hard pity for her and I've literally neve recovered and I missed both Chongyue and now Mumu.
This is probably my worst limited banner experience. My rates and RNG is so bad. In my 165 pulls I keep hitting the off-rate 6 stars that I already have (Goldenglow, NTR, Flametail, Rosmontis) and it took me another 10 pulls (175 pulls total) just to get Mumu (and also a Stainless spook which is nice). Damn that 70% is a lie now I'm afraid of my next limited banner results. Also I keep seeing players getting the previous on-rate limited ops more now compared to the previous limited banners.
Honestly, after seeing this, I'm grateful that Muelsyse was the first 6-star I rolled in that banner, even if it took a while. Arknights is usually pretty 'generous' but if you ever wanted a specific character (especially in limited) it's gonna be a heck of a time if you're unlucky. This is bound to be a problem in every game like this unfortunately. If gacha rates are too good then no one will ever spend any money.
Big thing abt AK for me has been that u dont rly need dupes, u get character, and that character is almost fully effective with just a single copy (-bagpipe, fast redeploys to some degree)
Happened to me at the Chen Alter + Texas alter banner. I know the pain and it feels super bad especially when you know people that got p6 Texas in less pulls.
They did sorta fix the off-banner rates with moving the launch six stars and any other six stars from before Phantom debut to a different banner pool, but that doesn't really solve anything. I did get an off-banner Stainless in my pulls before finally getting a Mumu. I feel like if they adjusted the rates by making the limited on-banner have a higher chance of showing up, it might work. But this video should be proof enough to get the limited banner rates fixed (since this is giving me the "local doctor spends thousands on a single old man (Mlynar) on his debut banner" vibes).
I share your experience, although my target was Ho'olheyak and not Mumu. After 460 pulls I got my first Ho'olheyak, and after over 800 pulls I still only had P3. Had to buy 2 from the store and now waiting for caster tokens to appear in the yellow cert shop... I'm not a whale either, those were all saved pulls.
As a new player getting any other unit but hoolheyak for thrice in a row, I feel like quitting. I used to get good units for free like irene, mountain, thorn as a f2p but when I spent $1 for gummy, it felt like all my insane luck was gone. Then I kept spending like around $50 but got 3 hoolheyak at pity… feels like quitting
that was some rough pulls to watch. Idk I feel like the limited banner rates is kinda wacky when you point it out especially since there are non-event limited operators who also get a rate up.
Which is why the kernel headhunting is introduced. It is both good and bad. The good, the new banner pools are not diluted with older operators. The bad news, if you want the older operators, you have to attempt the kernel headhunting (and miss the chance of getting newer operators) But overall, it means now that Banner is more target specific than before. Givibg player better control
Vifer's viewer pulls video : "the worst summoning session i've ever had on stream" Kukki's viewer pulls video : "the best pulling stream i've ever done"
this vifer pull session was actually ridiculous. i'd say i've been pretty lucky in my arknights pulls since i started early this year, but for the limited banners i've not been even close to this unlucky for my first one, texalter i got 2 texas and no penance in about 150 pulls, as for total 6 stars i got though, i can't remember for sure, though off banners were pulled for chongus banner i got 2 chonyues and 5 lins, as well as some off-banner in 300 pulls, and i sparked a ling (i also managed to get penance off banner, yay) for yato alter banner i got 2 yato in about 120 pulls, although "true limited" are different with rates and for mumu banner i managed to get 2 ho'olheyaks and 5 muelsyse in about 300 pulls, but my main target for sparking in general was ntr, yet there i was with 5 pot mumu, and yes, a few off banner 6 stars here too so, i'm not sure but i'd say i'm pretty lucky, relatively speaking, my first arknights pull ever, as in the one the game makes you do, was even a 6 star! that being siege. anyway, this session was certainly terrible so yeah, i thankfully haven't had to whale too hard on these past couple limited banners at least, though i'd say i'm in a good position for wasting money either way also, as a newer player who started this year, i'm still enjoying arknights and am always looking forward to the next limited banners, i haven't grown enough of a disliking of alters to really hate them, but i will say global's upcoming anniversary banner is definitely looking weak for even me, but i do kinda want swire alt, point is, i won't be pulling much then (unless i decide to spark chalter), but you can bet i sure as heck am pulling for virtuosa and viviana, best limited banner in a long time along with mumu banner well, sorry for rambling, that's all i have to say, if you read all that, have a nice day!
I think Reverse 1999 has a pretty nice system that avoids this kind of scenario. Each featured special character has their own banner, I guess you could call them "limited" but they get added to the standard pool later on. If your first Six Star is not the featured special character, the next one is guaranteed to be the featured one. And this pity may even get carried over to other special featured banners. So let's say you got spooked during your first pity in the Hoho banner. Your Mumu would be guaranteed if you switched over to her banner.
@@psy__ It isn't standard but it's something hoyoverse has in genshin and honkai, and hopefully more companies will copy since hoyo is the industry leader. Most japanese gacha systems are still big fat dogshit though
@@psy__ It's relatively common, but not standard. Path to Nowhere, which started as an Arknights clone uses this system, despite sharing AK's relatively high pull rates. Worth noting however is that in AK, unlike 99% of gachas, you only need 1 copy of a character for 95% of their power. It's (statistically) still easier to get a rate up character in AK than it is in Genshin, for example, even when you factor in the guarantee, but in Genshin you also need 7 copies of a 4 star for them to be decent, and usually prefer at least 1-2 copies of a 5 star for them to realize their potential.
true, thats better system. even if you get 2 6 stars, you got the limited first then you get off banner, youre now guaranteed again and it carries in the next limited banner. unlike the other system like the guarantee is in 200 pulls in worst case, meanwhile 50 50 with pity like for example within 70-90 for 6 star, that 200 pull can get you guarantee in 180 pulls in worst case with 20 pulls excess.
i still think we should have the same guarantee system from originium dust where you were guaranteed to get ash if you didn't get her in 150 (wish that was also the case for blitz and frost)
120 not 150 and we do have guarantee system. You guarantee get 6* if you can't get any after 60 pulls and that it. Beside collab don't have spark system so there is no point adding both system on limited banner
@@m_imran7957No. With how Arknights for some reason doesn't want to rerun older limited character, having the 120 guaranteed style and spark together is not that redundant as people might want to spark for older limiteds instead. And whales might still want to use the spark system for more potentials. I think this is good enough since Arknights limited banner always have two 6* in it and getting limited character is not that easy.
@@m_imran7957 what are you yapping all about We have spark for limited at 300, collab banners have basically a spark but at 120 I assume op meant that we need spark for limited to be lowered but idk
They bait you in with those lucky pulls on previous banners, and then you come to a limited banner where you have to go all the way to the 300 pity selector, and you just feel BAD. You wonder what you did wrong for your luck to change so drastically.
I remember they implmented a system on banners now, right? Soft pity on 50 pulls. Guaranteed pity on 150. 50/50 on which 6 star you get based on whos on the banner. So 300 pulls to get everything on the banner. Of course, there's no accounting for Vifer.
A bit of correction, 50 pulls isn't a soft pity line. When you do 50 pulls without getting a 6 star, the 6 star rates will go up gradually for each pull you do after the 50th pull. So if you are REALLY unlucky, then 100 pulls are the exact soft pity number (as the 6 star rate reaches 100% on the 100th pulls). Personally, my worst record for a 6 star was 71 pulls. It was for Mudrock if I'm not wrong.
I have actually failed to get Chong Yue in 300 pulls. I can feel the pain. 5:15, I can feel the Ho'olheyak, because this is literally what happened to me on Chong Yue's banner and I ended up getting Lin. I can FEEEL THE EXACT RESEMBLANCE. 5:27 YEP. CALLED IT.
Because it already happened to me once, now I doing everything I can to gather those 300 pulls for a guarantee limited. This banner was lucky for me and I got Mumu and Snek in 120 pulls (which I consider lucky). And all of that while being complete F2P.
This pulling session made me remember my P8 Penance before my first Texalter at 350 pulls :). Yes, 1st because I decided before that I want to spark Skalter. I didn't want dupes, just wanted a Texalter. So my pulling sessions really let me down and didn't pull on anyone (probably will on Typhon banner but idk anymore)
Haha you should have seen me get 6 KALTSITS BACK TO BACK under 100 pulls in first skalter banner, and no other 6 stars. That was prime cursed luck for me
Plus unfortunately the revamp to standard banners making it "easier" to get the rate up still isn't as good, because it can still take over 200 pulls to get the new character
ok so, I wanted 1 Mumu right. So far I got: 5 Ho'olheyaks, 3 NTRs, 1 Specter Alter, 1 Gnosis, 1 Pallas. I'm 350 pulls in and just gonna buy her from the shop now. So ye, it's up to you to judge if that's super lucky or unlucky. Saved up nearly have a year for this.
You know it's gonna be worse moving forward because there will just be more and more limited ops and the chance to get the one you want will will be even lower. I think there should just be 2 banners whenever a limited Op gets released. 1 banner for the new limited op 1 re-run banner for old limited ops
The off-banner limiteds don't eat into the on-banner pool though, they're just available (and weighted higher) in the 30% off-rate pool. On-rate is the same 35%-35% split as always.
But at least when you get an SSR, it most likely the rate up character. And since they got rid the shared banner, the chance are higher. Meanwhile, limited character in Arknights are always in a shared banner. We, FGO players, should have know how nasty shared banner works. And in FGO, they have regular rerun. Even if it took a year, it WILL come back. But in Arknights, limited banners never have a proper rerun. FGO is a pure gacha hell. It gives few free stuff for veteran players and the chance of getting SSR is low. But it is blunt on it. Meanwhile, Arknights looks generous on the outside but for limited banners, it's a big gacha trap. I'm speaking as a nearly 7 years old master in FGO and an on release date player in Arknights. And I can say that despite of how bad the gacha rate in FGO, I hit more rate ups in it than in Arknights, where I keep getting off banners 6*. I'm looking at you, my pot 8 Exusiai who I got purely from off banners...
@@justawanderingoldman7699 I'm pretty sure Arknights has double the rates for 6 stars (vs 5 stars) with scaling pity past 50 rolls, whereas FGO only has the hard pity at 330 rolls. Which for Limited Banners Arknights matches 300 rolls gives you the headhunting Pity. With the free 11th rolls, their hard pity is at the same point, but SQ is far harder to get than Orundum. But then I'm not a day one player and still haven't gotten all the SSR's and 6 stars so if I get any I'm still pleased. EDIT: That isn't even mentioning the guaranteed 5 star in the first ten rolls, can you image if FGO matched that with a guaranteed 4 star servant in 10 rolls?
yeah my friend did NOT get texas alter till roll 450. he bought rosmontis at 300 but did NOT take any texas till that and it was so bad for him. literally the WORST luck i have ever seen in my whole life
I haven't gotten a 5* in FGO since before LB6 started so anytime I see someone question the generosity of AK over getting several off banner ops I just laugh XD Before someone says that FGO has pity... Don't make me insult you :v
An argument from someone who have played FGO for nearly 7 years now: Yes. SSR rate in FGO is cruel. But the rate up itself straight up better than Arknights. The overall SSR rate in FGO is 1%. But the rate up value is 80%. So if you land a hit on the 1%, you have 80% chance to get the rate up character. Meanwhile, Arknights has 3% overall chance for a 6 star. Limited banner in Arknights has solid 70% rate up chance, BUT IT'S A SHARED BANNER. So as Vifer said, the chance of getting the limited unit when you hit the 3% is just 35%. Of course, if you do the math, then overall chance of getting a rate up character in FGO vs Arknights is 0.8% vs 1.05%. But it doesn't mean that getting a limited character is straight up easier. For gacha players, getting the highest rarity unit doesn't really matter. Getting the rate up characters is the main target. I speak from my experience. I'm completely F2P on both Arknights and FGO. In FGO, I have around 35 SSR and only 7 of them are off rate up characters. Meanwhile, I have more 6 stars characters in Arknights in total (potential included), but the amount of off rate up characters are also insanely high. I have more stuff, but most of them are unwanted stuff. Like, my Exusiai reached potential 6 just from off rate up pulls alone, and I still got 2 more of her as off rate up pulls after that. And it just Exusiai. I forgot the amount of off rate up Angelinas, Nightingales, Shinings, and other characters. And I'm not counting the non limited character that shared their banner with limited character. Like my current condition for example. I did around 100 pulls in Arknights, and I only got 3 Ho'ol that I don't even want. Meanwhile, last time I went crazy in FGO gacha was when Avalon le Fae chapter came out. I spent A LOT of my saving, and I got 3 Morgans in her rate up banner. Yes, spent more pulls on FGO to get my Morgan. But I did get 3 of her. Meanwhile, I did spent less pulls on Arknights, but I got exactly 0 character that I want. And to make it worse, Arknights doesn't do any rerun banner. So the chance of me getting Mumu is just lower than ever if I fail here. Meanwhile, I still have plenty of same chances in FGO as they keep doing banner reruns. So I don't need to be that desperate if I miss some character that I want I've written this somewhere in a reply section here. Arknights overall gacha system is generous. Far more generous than FGO. But the way Arknights handle limited banners is one of the worst compared to other gacha games. And for me personally, the lack of legit limited banners rerun is the main reason of why. I don't mind with the 35% chance of limiteds if I can have more chance to go for it Edit: CORRECTION. Arknights 6 star rate is 2%, not 3%. So if we use statistic math, the chance of getting a limited operator on limited banner is 2 x 35% = 0.7%. Which IS lower than FGO 0.8% rate for a rate up character. So as I said, Arknights IS INDEED more generous for a single standard rate up banner with the 2% 6 star chance and 50% rate up, which in total 1% overall chance for rate up character. But getting a limited character in Arknights is actually harder than in FGO itself.
Most gacha I play with limited units either have off rate 6/Srank/5 stars and pity next 6/Srank/5 star or they have no off rate unit but you can reach pity for desired unit while pulling
There should be a system that guarantees that your next 6* is limited after you reach 100 pulls without seeing the limited OP. Or as another commenter said, a system where an off-banner means on the next 6* is limited
That would be godsend, yeah. Unfortunately this is what we have atm; that kind of pity only exist for normal single banner (150 pulls, btw) right now. Limited banner pity is practically at 300 (by sparking). Welp, it's better than nothing, but...
honestly I had catastrophic limited banners like Gavial the invincible with 300 pulls and only six 6 stars. with Gavial herself not showing up until 260. but this one was really disgusting 110 pulls and 2 ops and both of them were dups and off banner. I couldn't even get my Melanite to max pot( surprisingly this happens every single limited banner and I can't get limited banners 5* to max pot)
Bruh, I know this pain. Took me over 100 pulls to get an on-banner and it was snek first. I didn't get mumu until around 180 ish. Now, I have both on-banners at Pot 2 and I'm only out about $50 plus in-game farming (no resources left, no skins). But the off-banner crap was WILD and it feels like much more widely felt this event than prior. Additionally, for some incredibly unknown reason, I also pulled Nearl and Skalter dupes on this banner, which was very weird. I've only ever pulled an on-banner limited re-run once before and it happened twice on the same banner.
Also, there were SO MANY streams/vids of the absolutely dog piss RNG that it seems like this affected almost everyone. This kinda crap pulls was more the norm than the exception, just further fueling the salt.
Seems bit much to quit over, especially when the Gacha for a 6* in general in Arknight is quite generous. The only problem is specifically the Limited Banners and getting the specific operators.
@@Zack_Zander"in general" is the key words here. Yes, in general, 6* characters are still managable to get. But for limited character, it's WAY too different. In Arknights, missing a limited character means goodbye forever unless you save a ton for the pity or having a really good luck. Arknights doesn't have a proper limited banner rerun after all. And personally, this is enough for people to quit if they fail. Especially when the character is what they want the most. After all, I nearly quit when I kept failing on getting Skalter on her banner. And now I'm on the verge on quitting too after I keep getting Ho'ol and no Mumu. I already hate Ho'ol from the Dorothy event. And now I despise her even more. Yes, there is an argument that I should have save up for the pity. But here, in Arknights, it's hard to do so. There are quite a lot of limited banners without rerun, yet the source of the gacha currency is not really enough to at least cover 2 of them in a year. So unless you skip all and focus on one banner, getting the pity is hard. And it's hard for F2P. Yes, I can just use my current team for everything and save up. But there are people like me who get bored easily unless we have new "toys" to play with after some times. So saving for a year is a recipe of early retirement for us.
@@Zack_Zander insensitive remarks like yours are the reason people double down on quitting. The limited banner system is bad, plain as day. I've been saying this since to my veteran online friends who play this. I first started playing this last year. It's too similar to FGO (which I just recently quit) and we know how horrible FGO's gacha is. Even if I got lucky this limited, but I've also been in the other spectrum where I got shafted unreasonably and it's downright horrible.
I opened this banner with a two 6 star pull and both of them were Penance, then hoolheyaks all the way until 230-something pulls when I got another off-banner and then my first Mumu
I just want then to lower the spark requirement to 200 pulls from 300. Otherwise I don't really see any problem with the rates. Saw a bunch of people quite because they couldn't get the character they wanted. Well what can I say, I am here for the gameplay and the story, so I am not disappointed by the gacha.
I'm an FGO player, and the community in that gacha hell had one rule about the gacha: If you love your life, STAY AWAY from a shared banner. Shared banner means a banner with 2 SSR rate ups. It's now irrelevant there as they don't have a shared banner anymore... only for SSR... shared banner for SR still exist, and its the worst. Back to Arknights, from all things here, the only gameplay related things that I DESPISE about Arknights is how they treat limited banners. 1. Limited banners are shared banners with 2 six stars operators on the rate up. Means the chance of getting a limited character is not really that high 2. There are no exact rerun for these limited banners as they will become the "secondary rate up characters" in the future limited banners. Following those two points, if you miss a limited character, you must have an extraordinary luck or reaching the pity to get it on the future limited banner. And it's sucks for most f2p and low spenders. And yeah, I'm in an extremely salty state where I got 2 Ho'ol and zero Mumu. I even sacrificed my skin funds. Edit: Aaaand I just got my third Ho'ol... I really want to quit now. In my whole life as a gacha enjoyer, I've never felt this much hate toward a character like this.
By the time ZZZ comes out I think I'll be moving on from Arknights because I had a similar experience where it took me almost 150 for Mumu. Meanwhile in a Mihoyo game at least I know 180 is hard pity instead of 300 in Arknights. Sad :(
true, that system is good unlike other gacha that has no pity and has fixed guarantee to 200-300 pulls. meanwhile that 200 pulls in hoyo system you can get the guarantee 180 pulls in worst case with excess of 20 pulls. even if you lose the 50 50, the guarantee can carried over to the next limited. still a win regardless.
Pulls are not valued the same from one gacha to another. It's still faster (and cheaper if you're a spender) to spark in AK than it is to hard pity in a Mihoyo game despite the objective quantitative difference in total pulls. Pull income is twice as generous in AK as it is in Genshin and Honkai 3rd (though not Star Rail, thankfully). The pulls are also worth more in AK due to the rates being over 3 times higher, no supplemental banners (weapons, lightcones, stigmatas, ELFs, etc.), and the rewards for misses being a LOT stronger in AK than in every hoyoverse game. I didn't get Mumu AT ALL within 300 pulls. It suuuuuuuuuucked...BUT I also pulled 14 other 6 stars, 6 of which were past limited ops. If I put 300 pulls into Genshin or Star Rail, statistically speaking I will see 5 characters 2 of which were rate up. And unless they were all copies of the same character or 25-50% of those pulls instead go to their signature weapon, none of them will be that strong.
May I offer a little suggestion for the other side as well? Just a little of my opinion to make you stay playing ak, 1. I think we still need to consider how low the gacha percentage in mihoyo game, 0.6% for the character and secondary power up dupe/constelation/eidolon/etc also ssr like weapon/lc etc, while arknights has 2% just for the character, and there's a chance to get a ssr you want by *6 selector ticket, something that currently does not exist in the mihoyo game 2. not to mention it's easier for arknights to farm gacha currency like orundum on annihilation and base (granted it may takes time and some say not worth it but the option still there), rather than wait for daily or possibly malding to clear hard mihoyo stage like abyss/chaos, 3. lastly and do take a grain of salt with it it, is how the dev treat the player, it does not guarantee that zzz will give a generous reward like star rail, worst case we may even get the genshin anniv treatment, while it's well known for arknights dev respect the fanbase and give a lot of reward to the player
As a PGR/AK player, I'm glad that Punishing: Gray Raven has a 100% rate up. Cause by God, trying to get Mumu has been painful... Focusing the rateup for the limited 6-star or reducing the pity count from 300 would be really nice
The only thing I would change with limited characters is... their cost in the shop. 300 Is A LOT. It should be 150 or 200 in the worst case. The only limited characters I dont have is Rosmontis and Gavial the Invincible. About this banner - you were just unlucky and that's it. I don't have all limited characters too because I was unlucky and this sometimes happens.
I got hit pretty bad on Chongyun banner. E6 Lin, which is not bad hah. At least we get something though! Hoyoverse games are way harsher :) PS: love the Kuro no Kiseki sad music
Me opening the golden bag: The banner : "Which one? The limited or the regular 6*?" Me hoping for Mumu : "I want limited." The banner : "Okay, here *Skadi alter* " Kinda bummed bc when I wished the limited Skadi alter in under tides banner, it gave me W 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
I got a p6 ho'ol and p5 mumu on this banner without even trying. I just wanted specter because I missed her... There is good luck and bad luck and there are ways to influence your luck to try to circumvent bad luck but overall I've been a bit lucky and I'm thankful and if I got worse luck then I would really want it changed.
I started playing this game solely because Ho'olheyak is voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro and I worship that woman more than any deity from any religion. I've been rolling constantly and I got Mumu in 20 pulls, yet I haven't seen any Ho'olheyak. I'm sure many people would see this as lucky, but, honestly, without Ho'olheyak, I don't even have the desire to continue playing the game. 😢
You should have re-rolled for her 🫡 especially since you just started the game. Luckily for you she isn’t limited so she’ll be on just about every banner from here on out.
i agree during the texalter banner i really wanted multiple pots of Texas and i was going to 300 for skalter but i got like 9-10 6 stars i believe only 1 texas and 1 penance rest where off banners
I have been pulling on almost EVERY limited banner since Chalter and with like 100-150 pulls on average for each banner this is the first time I have gotten the limited character muelsyse. Seriously, got 3 Penance, 2 Poz, 1 Irene, 1 Lee, 1 Mizuki no limiteds. And thats without counting the offbanner ones
Compared to Fire Emblem Heroes (only other Gacha I've played for whatever that's worth), Arknights practically throws its best units at F2P and Minnows. Limited Banners are the only place you're likely to get stuck, but that beats the hell out of having to farm multiple heroes on a list of literally hundreds of equally rare units, or wait every month for the Legendary Banners that have 12+ Rate Up exclusive units. It took me over half a year pulling on THREE rate-up specific banners to get ONE COPY of a specific Legendary unit I wanted (who wasn't even meta; which actually means something in a game with as many competitive modes as FEH) and things only got worse from then on in early 2020. I started playing Arknights at the behest of a friend very early on in 2020 as a result, and it's been far less stressful. This year was my worst year in terms of Gacha by far (500+ pulls split between Gavialt and Texalter with nothing to show for it but a pair of Pot 3+ off-pulls; one of whom I have absolutely no use for), and I still did better than my best year in FEH.
Probably, the best solution is the one from genshin weapon banner. Where you can select desired weapon and if you get another 5* twice, the next will be the one you need. Also, they're might need to make another way to get operator tokens
So with 188 pulls I got 4 Muelsyse, 2 Ho'olheyak, 1 Passenger, 1 Mostima, and 1 Rosmontis. Two of these were from free pulls after I had gotten 1 of Muelsyse, and Ho'olheyak each. Kinda nuts how different of results accounts can get.
This banner made me believe there IS a region-based bonus in Arknights. The consistency of "Scamfer" versus the consistently WAY above the stated averages from Kukki are not mathematically explainable, plus it would make sense to boost players from regions with lower income to get 6*s quicker, making it more likely they'll keep spending on the game. Warframe for example had a system where players from poorer regions were so SO much more likely to get the 50% and 75% off vouchers for premium currency purchases as a daily login reward, one guy from egypt in our clan would get 2-3 75% offs every month, while i would maybe get one a year from Germany. And from a business perspective it makes sense for Yostar to make a similar calculation based on where their players are from. So poor Scamfer may literally be unable to go much past pity for a lot of people just because of where he is, not because he is unlucky.
Got 4, six stars within 200 pulls with 2 of them being Alters I never had but always wanted, and the next were Elf mommy and Snek mommy, so I guess I got really lucky
im literally at 26 pulls and got both ho'olheyak and muelsyse. Specter alter also had to join in as well as mytler (i only spent around 3000 of the red thingys, used the free ten pull, and logged-in everyday for the free 1 pull.) like wtf. I wish i was making this up
I shouldn't have but i still spent s lot of money at a chance to get Ines and now the current banner. I got none of the limited operators instead i got Stainless and Mizuki from the enhanced 6* pull chance. Mizuki i probably can find a use for albeit somewhat niche but Stainless feels worthless to me. That was extremely upsetting.
more often than not, i'm lucky in a weird way with limited banners, is very common for me to get the limited when i want the non limited, and in the rare cases i want the limited one, i get the non limited, its rare for me to get both on release, i'm still waiting for my irene, never got gavial, on the CN server i wanted mumu for testing, i got flying snake, on EN i really wanted ho, and i got mumu twice
it happened with my chalter pulling session, 300 pulls no chalter. but it happens once into every account imo, it's very rare. mumu in 20 Yalter in 30 Chong in 150 Ling in 80 Specter alter Pot6 in 270 It's rare
Should Arknights fix its limited banners?
Arknights should fix its pity system because worst-case scenarios destroy whales and gate F2P's out of desired ops despite saving for months. You should be guaranteed to get the on-banner limited within 3 6-stars. That way only the max pot gremlins would have to suffer, and they already know what they're getting into.
Kukki pulls said otherwise. Ngl but gacha it just rng. If u think rate up in AK is bad, try BA.
If every limited banner works exactly like 120 pity count on Collab banner (one time only guaranteed, doesn't apply for dupes), things would be better.
Yes, they should give us guaranteed in 100 or 150 pulls
So it won't feel like a scam
After watching this pull session, I feel very fortunate to get both 6 star operators after 120 pulls. Just 1 copy of each and I'm happy.
For every "I got the limited in the first 10 pulls!", there's a "I had to spark to get limited"
I can attest to this... Got lucky with NTR who was my first limited... Didn't have luck with Gavial... Lucky again with Spectre... And now with Mumu...
That is how averages work, yes.

Beware: SCAMS on the rise! Stay vigilant, protect your pulls from Vifer!
While in Blue archive, Nikke and Princess connect re:dive JP sparks at 200. Arknights still sparks limited character at 300. WTF?
(In general BA gives 100 pulls per month for active f2p player, sometimes more as freebies)
In Arknights as f2p it's impossible to get to 300 pulls between limited banners even if you purely saving up and don't pull for anything.
As an ex FGO player I really rather have more characters even if they aren't rate up, more options makes the game more enjoyable for me
Letting Vifer roll on your account is permanent account damage.

This somehow still went better than KyostinV's Virtuosa pulls.
@@MiikiSama No need for compensation.
That's a terrible Idea, anyone pulling for the none limited character instead would get fucked, best thing they can do is lower the spark.
@@theFrozenfires No, it's not terrible. You do realize you can get non limited from spook right? Limited you have to wait a year and only sparkable unless you get insane luck and pull low rate.
Nah bro. I feel the same. The lack of proper rerun here is the real problem for me.
getting 300 pulls between limiteds isnt that hard actually its just you cant pull for operators you like just to get the limited . i only lost chalter i couldnt get her with 296 pulls the only reason was i used 120 pulls on non limiteds if i had saved for chalter i would have all the limiteds i have seen . still some people wants to pull for other ops too , best way to solve this would be not getting dupes for the non limiteds till you get the limited also giving you guarentee for the limited after 3 off banner 6 stars . this would help people keep some pulls for non limited banners as well which means a dedicated f2p player can get all the operators eventually
@@ConexCX no, 300 is very hard, even with monthly pass, impossible without it

I don't waste pulls between limited and at most can go up to 200 with the help of yellow certs.
HG should give more ways to get the other limited ops (skalter, etc)
because 300 pulls for one of them ain't it for most players
no mumu in 300 pulls had to spark
same I think I'll just get specter alt instead

For me, this is my second worse.
The first is still the first Nian Banner.
My friend pulled 250 pulls and he still got no mumu meanwhile i get both mumu and ho ol under 60 pull.

Idk I feel like the limited banner rates is kinda wacky when you point it out especially since there are non-event limited operators who also get a rate up.
Which is why the kernel headhunting is introduced.
It is both good and bad.
The good, the new banner pools are not diluted with older operators.
The bad news, if you want the older operators, you have to attempt the kernel headhunting (and miss the chance of getting newer operators)
But overall, it means now that Banner is more target specific than before. Givibg player better control
Vifer's viewer pulls video : "the worst summoning session i've ever had on stream"
Kukki's viewer pulls video : "the best pulling stream i've ever done"
this vifer pull session was actually ridiculous. i'd say i've been pretty lucky in my arknights pulls since i started early this year, but for the limited banners i've not been even close to this unlucky
for my first one, texalter i got 2 texas and no penance in about 150 pulls, as for total 6 stars i got though, i can't remember for sure, though off banners were pulled
for chongus banner i got 2 chonyues and 5 lins, as well as some off-banner in 300 pulls, and i sparked a ling (i also managed to get penance off banner, yay)
for yato alter banner i got 2 yato in about 120 pulls, although "true limited" are different with rates
and for mumu banner i managed to get 2 ho'olheyaks and 5 muelsyse in about 300 pulls, but my main target for sparking in general was ntr, yet there i was with 5 pot mumu, and yes, a few off banner 6 stars here too
so, i'm not sure but i'd say i'm pretty lucky, relatively speaking, my first arknights pull ever, as in the one the game makes you do, was even a 6 star! that being siege. anyway, this session was certainly terrible
so yeah, i thankfully haven't had to whale too hard on these past couple limited banners at least, though i'd say i'm in a good position for wasting money either way
also, as a newer player who started this year, i'm still enjoying arknights and am always looking forward to the next limited banners, i haven't grown enough of a disliking of alters to really hate them, but i will say global's upcoming anniversary banner is definitely looking weak for even me, but i do kinda want swire alt, point is, i won't be pulling much then (unless i decide to spark chalter), but you can bet i sure as heck am pulling for virtuosa and viviana, best limited banner in a long time along with mumu banner
well, sorry for rambling, that's all i have to say, if you read all that, have a nice day!
Your Mumu would be guaranteed if you switched over to her banner.
yeah it works like genshin banner i guess
@@rottenfanger I don't play that many gacha, so it could be pretty standard I guess 😅
@@m_imran7957 what are you yapping all about
We have spark for limited at 300, collab banners have basically a spark but at 120
I assume op meant that we need spark for limited to be lowered but idk
Blitz and Frost were also guaranteed, just like Noir Corne on the last collab banner.
@@devotedhoshiyomi tell that to my 200 pulls, didn't get them.
They bait you in with those lucky pulls on previous banners, and then you come to a limited banner where you have to go all the way to the 300 pity selector, and you just feel BAD. You wonder what you did wrong for your luck to change so drastically.
There's this one time, i got 3 6 star back to back, but non are the limited banner, but my rule on playing gatcha is that have no expectation
When ill watch the next ep of Arknigths im gonna be thinking of Pachenami.
1 banner for the new limited op
1 re-run banner for old limited ops
The off-banner limiteds don't eat into the on-banner pool though, they're just available (and weighted higher) in the 30% off-rate pool. On-rate is the same 35%-35% split as always.
Probably the saddest pull i see in any gacha game😂
You should watch Kyostins Virtuosa pulls. He didn't get p6 virutuosa with 1 set of tokens in 600 pulls. Took him like 750.
Meanwhile me coming from FGO: "Arknights has the most generous Gacha I've ever seen!"
It's always nice to meet fellow fgo player, all I get is CE I don't use
@@doubleoz1 I don't roll unless I have enough for pity in FGO.

I haven't gotten a 5* in FGO since before LB6 started so anytime I see someone question the generosity of AK over getting several off banner ops I just laugh XD
Before someone says that FGO has pity... Don't make me insult you :v
An argument from someone who have played FGO for nearly 7 years now:
Yes. So I don't need to be that desperate if I miss some character that I want
I've written this somewhere in a reply section here. Arknights overall gacha system is generous. Far more generous than FGO. But the way Arknights handle limited banners is one of the worst compared to other gacha games. And for me personally, the lack of legit limited banners rerun is the main reason of why. I don't mind with the 35% chance of limiteds if I can have more chance to go for it
Edit: CORRECTION.
While limited banner rates suck. At least they give out plenty of free rolls (free tenfold + free dailies) and a whole lot of orundum...
Vifer: Obviously everyone's experience is different based on their luck
Me: I already see there this video is going 😂
Guess he shouldn't start with "Hello,Mr. Scamfer"
Vifer truly live up to his name
You are not alone, I got Mue on 280 pulls....
coming from someone who did 291 pulls for Texalter and only got idk how many Penance in a row and 2 off-banner units, the pain is still here.
I remember someone make video about how Arknights is dying because the pity is too high
As an fgo player I’m immune to feeling hopeless against high pity
Same issue came to me, dorothy and hool came at max pity, had no more pulls left.
honestly I had catastrophic limited banners like Gavial the invincible with 300 pulls and only six 6 stars. with Gavial herself not showing up until 260. but this one was really disgusting 110 pulls and 2 ops and both of them were dups and off banner.
Thanks for talking about this. 🙏
Seeing so many horrible summon sessions is a big reason why I quit.
It took me 274 pulls for Mumu. In the process I got two ho'oleyka, 2 NTR, carnelian, gnosis, and Ceobe. Drop rates were weird on this banner.
160 pull for 3 ebenholz
I can't
i get mumu and ho ol under 60 pulls meanwhile my friend already did 250 pull and he still aint got mumu 😢.
Yeah 300 is too intimidating, especially if they run limited almost back to back
I'm an FGO player, and the community in that gacha hell had one rule about the gacha: If you love your life, STAY AWAY from a shared banner.
Means the chance of getting a limited character is not really that high
The number of times where I've p6'd the non limited character before even seeing a single copy (or worse, having to spark) the limited is awful. Was
By the time ZZZ comes out I think I'll be moving on from Arknights because I had a similar experience where it took me almost 150 for Mumu.
Just a little of my opinion to make you stay playing ak,
1. I think we still need to consider how low the gacha percentage in mihoyo game, 0.6% for the character and secondary power up dupe/constelation/eidolon/etc also ssr like weapon/lc etc, while arknights has 2% just for the character, and there's a chance to get a ssr you want by *6 selector ticket, something that currently does not exist in the mihoyo game
2. not to mention it's easier for arknights to farm gacha currency like orundum on annihilation and base (granted it may takes time and some say not worth it but the option still there), rather than wait for daily or possibly malding to clear hard mihoyo stage like abyss/chaos,
3. lastly and do take a grain of salt with it it, is how the dev treat the player, it does not guarantee that zzz will give a generous reward like star rail, worst case we may even get the genshin anniv treatment, while it's well known for arknights dev respect the fanbase and give a lot of reward to the player
@@ThePhilosogamer Ahh you beat me to it, but it's nice to have someone that think alike

Imagine scamming people and blaming the game for it💀
I have been pulling on almost EVERY limited banner since Chalter and with like 100-150 pulls on average for each banner this is the first time I have gotten the limited character muelsyse.
Limited banners should have 200 pity instead of 300 tbh.
Same, that was most cursed banner for me and my friends - 224 pulls 5 Holloweak and 1 off banner, trolled af.
Thank you for the luck on HuoHuo today Vifer!!!
This theory sounds crazy lol
HG agent in Vifer’s walls sabotaged his pulls?!! (Idk if I would even be surprised if that was true)(I’m joking)
Watching this vs The GodHand video of Kukki is just, DAMNNNNNNN.....

This happens because you asked vifer to pull. The scam king :v
I wish i was making this up
It does hurt seeing that many blue bags, what unluck indeed. I play more like a collector though, so those off-banner 6 stars were really nice to see.
This is giving me flashbacks of Namirin's GG pulls and Yii's Skalter pulls
more often than not, i'm lucky in a weird way with limited banners, is very common for me to get the limited when i want the non limited, and in the rare cases i want the limited one, i get the non limited, its rare for me to get both on release, i'm still waiting for my irene, never got gavial, on the CN server i wanted mumu for testing, i got flying snake, on EN i really wanted ho, and i got mumu twice
oh yea, I understand how it feels. In Dusk banner, I did 300 roll and I got none Dusk. I have to unlock her it in the store event.
I've experienced this problem on my own skin too, i just started playing and i got 3 Ho'olheyaks in 70 summons, and no limited 6* unit sadly
whale: I will let Vifer pull for me on stream!
me: Hey kid... that's hell you're walking into
it happened with my chalter pulling session, 300 pulls no chalter. but it happens once into every account imo, it's very rare.
mumu in 20
Yalter in 30
Chong in 150
Ling in 80
Specter alter Pot6 in 270
It's rare
"Limit"s should be moved to a separate banner. Like current one + one from the previous year celebration.
I feel that too bro, but it on taxpen (Texas & penance) banner. Got 3 penance 1 NTR knight and pull only on 100 pulls cause broke 😅
