- New better quality upload of our winning Eurovision song from Norway in 1992. I am the composer of this song, and I want to share it with all Eurovision song contest fans. Music: Robert Morley, Lyrics: Eva Jansen
I loved those times, when countries had to sing in their own languages.... She should have placed much higher.... Such a beautiful song. One of my all times favorites!
Thank you! :-)
I think if it had been performed like this in the actual ESC it would have been in contention for the win. Several things were slightly off on the night, and this arrangement is way better.
Fantastic melody, text and interpretation. One of my all time favorites that surely deserved a top 5 placing.
Totally agree!
Oh my good luck! I love this song, as my very favourite of all Eurovision's history. Thanks to give us this poem made a song. From Mexico with all my respect.
Love it. Haven't got it but want to download or buy CD. Thus is what true Eurovision is.
I absolutely love this song!!!! Deserved a much better fate at esc!!!
so true
This is really the best live version of this song. I immediately loved it when I heard this in 1992 in the previews. The final ESC was the performance unfortunately less sparkling and the arrangement less interesting. But still one of my all time favourites.
THANK YOU! That was my arrangement, and the way I wanted the song to be. (I am the composer of the song) But when you win ESC in your country, a lot of people have different opinions....
Fabulous.
Thanks! :-)
Robert Alan Morley ...excellent song. I only heard it for the first time recently.
I still like it.
Love
Thank you! :-)
Great song, should have Winn
Thank you! :-)
Hei fra New Zealand!
Mange takk for skriving denne fantastisk sangen!
Takk for hyggelige kommentarer! Hilsen Robert :-)
For me, one of the best Norwegian songs ever. My 2nd Norwegian all-time fave, should have finished in Top 3 at ESC 1992.
Frank Bischof do you happen to know the name of the backing snger with the long hair?
Unfortunately no. Am from Germany but know this great song from ESC 1992, but the names of the other team members, I don't know.
Leif Digernes.
I Love this song! SÅ vacker! Beautiful voice and Merethe is so funny and sweet! I keep looking for it to come on spotify but it never comes, why?:(
Tusen takk! Det var hyggelig å høre! :-)
It was on Spotify earlier, but it was Universal who released it, and they haven't released it again. It was on a record called "Den store Norske MGP samlingen", but it has disappeared. I don't know why. So I'm sorry about that, but I have sold the rights to Universal, and they are the only company that are allowed to release it. Otherwise I would have released it again... I do have a instrumental version out on Spotify that I used as a demo for the song when I sent it to the competition. I've also put the record out here on UA-cam.
Here's the link for the English version from the record: ua-cam.com/video/tjf8Eg8s1vA/v-deo.html

Er det Elisabeth Andreassen som er programleder.
erik persson ja!
Do you know the name of the backing singer with the long hair.?

Hei.
Ellers, tusen takk for hyggelig melding! :-)
Robert
Why she didn't scream at the final note?
Dose anyone have the English version?

4:00 when she tries to hide xD
Very good song. So I.don't understand the europeans juries.:-\
Thanks a lot! :-)
One of the most iconic Eurovision entries ever, with a remarkable end. The backing singer with black hair was out of tune, shadowing Merete’s voice, therefore he didn’ t make it to Malmoe.
