ULTIMATE ELECTRIC DRUM SET - Part 2 (Update Video)
I knew I would make a part 2! I just didn't think it would be finished and uploaded exactly a year to the day from when part 1 was posted! In this video I explain all the changes that I've done to my kit since I first built it. I also filmed a Q&A video that will be part 3. As soon as I'm finished editing, and maybe finished filming another cheesy intro video, I'll post it. Big thanks to Michelle Heafy for coming up with some of the ideas for the beginning infomercial! She's so funny! Maybe i'll make a behind the scenes video for it haha! Thanks for watching!

Dang that cymbal stacking idea is genius! And love the editing in this video too :)
Thank you!
Looks like dwe borrowed your idea for their cymbal design
Stacking idea is goooood.
Damn man, this is so great, best of two worlds! The day I have space and money for it, this will be the best content, your videos are the best material for any awesome hybrid drum projects! Congrats man!
Thanks a lot man!!! I really appreciate it!
I love this video! Your tutorial/info vids are so entertaining to watch. Love the editing, and the mods you came up with are awesome :^D
Theeenks! Thanks for helping me with the infomercial ideas too! 8^D
Wow. I wish I would have seen this before spending so much money trying to solve the ride cymbal problem. I tried it using an old CY-5 combined with a 20" Gen 16 Buffed Bronze ride. It works great! Of course, I only get bow triggering with the CY-5, but that's all I need right now. It provides a nice playing surface, large triggering area, great sensitivity, and no rubber or rivets to interfere with playability. Such a brilliant idea!
A demo of the ride set up would be interesting to me...great job btw!
Well thought out and executed idea!
Thanks!
Yo! I've been interested in getting one as of late. Thank you so much for making this video!
Cool! Thanks!
great idea for the dual zone ride
Thanks!
6:25 yea that's actually like a burger.. I subscribed i learned a lot.. You deserve much more subs sir
Thank you!
Keep doing the good work!😇
Love your shirt!
Thanks!
Holy fuck this is GENIUS, with putting the L80s on top of the CYs.. whoa.
Thanks! This solution has changed everything for me
Man, I’m am fighting the uncanny valley in my UA-cam custom e kits also. Great video. 👍👍
Thanks!!
DonutDrums- Will you share your TD-9 Settings?
0 dislike nice man you are killing it
Hey man, what you are doing is absolutely insane and congratulations for that. could you give in your next video a total budget of what you did? Greeting from Dominican Republic
Love the Steve Brule shoutout
my hero
So all together, I need everything listed in Part 1, plus a few of the Roland rubber cymbals?
One day...
There are some metal cymbal for example field they make large metal electronic cymbals but I really like ur setup 👍👌😃
Hey man, for configuring the triggers with the td9 module, what setting did you use to get the best result? Thanks :)
Awesome DonutDrums, Thanks for sharing the video, is not it easier with the zildjian gen16 module for the cymbals?
Thanks! It would be easier to use the Gen16 Module but I wasn't too impressed with the sounds that were produced in that set up.
Thanks for your answer.
have you used the Yamaha EA10?
Can anyone tell me what is the perfect setting for kick trigger. I am using Roland trigger and module but sometime i kick one time but the sound come dobble. My setting on kick trigger is not right.
Can i do without the triggers?
Matt..... how much time did you spend on adding sound effects to this video? Cause they're great!!!
Very interesting video once again, dude! I really like this series and I'm not even a drummer! :D
It takes awhile but it's a labor of love. Thanks man! I really appreciate it!
Donutdrums I think the only thing that could make it better is if you added a hi hat controller made for a hi hat stand. Along with the hi hat stand of course. Then you can get the open hi hat feel on this awesome set up.
www.amazon.com/Goedrum-GHC-Electronic-Hi-Hat-Controller/dp/B00UBGYBTO
Also pin tech makes one for $130-$140
How much these cymbals costs??It is too durable to lasts for a hard hitter player??The response of triggers at the mesh heads it's same or too close with the real heads??
6:48 your hands are squeaky clean!
You should hook triggers up to donuts they are much quieter
BRILLIANT!!!
Do you think it is possible to make it work with another brands like dddrum trigers and dddrum trigers interface and use another audio interface do use the sound of the plug in superior drummer , and wouldthe hi hat would work too ?
It should still work will other triggers and modules. I've only tried it with my current set up so I'm not 100% but I can't think of why it wouldn't work. The settings might be different but that might be all. I'm using Superior Drummer 2.0 in this set up.
does it have the cross stick or rim shot sound?
Yes it does!
Having the trigger on the hi hat, I'm assuming you couldn't get the open and close sounds of a high hat?
It works. The open and close sounds are controlled by the hi-hat pedal.
What is the drum kit?
The shells are Ludwig Epic Series :)
Pls part 3
Working on it right now :)
Damn, this guy is hilarious!!!
I wait a year for a Drum cover using that drums why😞
There is a reason for no dislikes.
Best thing get real cymbals and the kit itself should be hybrid
