Man this is probably one of the best episodes ever…! You can laugh, cry, go into deep thought, etc… This is what real conversation looks like in a healthy friendship. Everyone be safe and spread love.
The tears Ali cried were tears from the Soul. Not many have the Heart & Soul to be that true, that real, and that raw with the conversation/message. 🎓🎓🎓
"We have to love each other as hard as they made us hate each other". WOW. So powerful. Everything you said was a fact. You even changed my perspective on things. Siddiq thank you for sharing your wisdom and thoughts with the world. We need this! Thank you so much brother. Love to all my brothers out there!
"The number one thing against us is not racism it's the propoganda." Whaaaaat?? Boy that was the bar of the year, that line alone can spark an hour conversation.
Gotta give y'all yo flowers, This is hands down one of the most important shows/platforms/etc... to come out of the black community in a longtime. I really appreciate what y'all do salute
MAN.... Ali shedding tears in regards to the status of materialism when it comes to so-called activists was gut wrenching. 85 is my favorite show. It's always real, raw and uncut.
Ali brought it out of DC in this episode. The growth of DC is amazing. Ali is a GREAT 1!! He's so great that Los kept his mouth shut for the most part. 🤣🤣🤣
The thing about DC young fly is he’s SO young minded! I can’t relate to most of what he’s saying but it’s that different generation. For his generation he’s a success but it was different mindset for him getting there. I’m of the opinion that “fake it till you make it” causes the issues of people putting too much into the faking it part. If you focused on making it you should not care about how you look to others. Why? Either one or two things: you should be so busy that folks don’t see you and 2 when they do, you should look like what you are: busy! If you gotta do that fake it till you make it, then you better be UNDER 21 years of age!
I can listen to Ali Siddiq for hours. His story is a very real but very funny and inspiring one. This episode was the perfect blend of knowledge comedy and storytelling. I love when these guys open and tell parts of their lives so we as an audience can understand that as that we're all on our path. It took some time to get where are and we're not all the way there yet but we damn sure ain't where we started
🤯🤯🤯🤯 I just want to say I appreciated this conversation! Black men speaking powerfully unto each other and just pure FACTS‼️ these conversations must continue to be had!
Everything Ali spoke about hit home. That “money vs the love of people” was IT. Y’all had a world famous rapper on the show , he was there for a short time & left without saying a word. He wasn’t supposed to be there because God didn’t want that energy around y’all . But you get a MAN like Ali and his massage had all of us silent . Listening. Standing STILL. God works in mysterious ways . Y’all keep feeding us with this gold . May we meet in life soon, Lo.
Ali just DROPPED SOME HEAVY KNOWLEDGE. He know wtf going on and the silence from EVERYONE IN THE ROOM SHOWS that they know IMPORTANT SHIT IS BEING SAID! RESPECT 🤙🏽
This podcast is for people who need that motivation to do things for themselves. I love this thing about the 85south, they do what they wanna do. Make songs, talk about real stuff, be funny, be inspirational. They really are amazing!

The amount of gems dropped in this one REQUIRES multiple viewings. One of the best podcast episodes. We value the comedy but the knowledge dropped around the jokes is valuable beyond measure. Salute brothers.
Ali Saddiq is a real one, and he spits nothing but that real ish. If you clicked on this looking for goofy laughs this ain’t the episode for you. He will talk that TALK and still make you laugh. I appreciate how the other guys were quiet and just let him speak
Honestly that was one helluva special Ali put on UA-cam the storyline was incredibly well done and closed by tying it all up into a nice neat bow. Very impressive. Game changer
There is always moves being made in the background that equal smart business! By putting the special out on UA-cam he can now show how many people are in his core audience from views and take advantage of monetization from the watch hours and engagement of the viewers. He can use the analytics to leverage his future deals since he now has factual DATA to show how many are tuning in to support Ali Siddiq as a brand since there were no openers or additional names to boost to attract an audience. It would be great get him under the 85 South media umbrella and keep adding to his brand! He is in a great position!!!!
COME ON KINGS!!! This vulnerability and honesty was beautiful. and calling out into the crowd. We progress when we hold each other and ourselves accountable.
omg... I've never seen 85 so tuned in to what a guest is saying. Lous will argue with ANYBODY & DC gon make sure he's heard - don't matter who he gotta cut off. But everybody was tapped in to some real sht being spoken. That's respect. I LOVE THIS SHOW!! 🥰🥰
Oh, he going to say something even if it's a whole bunch of nothing. Sometimes it's okay to just listen instead of trying to prove what you think you know.

“You’re knowledge is where your wealth is”.. This episode definitely hit deep, especially when Siddiq got in his bag.. And like real men, they sat back and listened💪🏿✊🏿💪🏿.. True 85%ers GET THE APP!! 85/yr man you can’t go wrong, don’t have to worry about paying for a whole 12 months.. I came on UA-cam just to give these Kings they flowers on here too..
Wow I did not expect such a powerful message from Ali. He’s always deep and thoughtful so I’m not surprised but man this one hit deep. I got 3 kids now and when they get sick, flus, Covid or allergies I’m all tense while they struggle to breathe at night, meanwhile this man watched his one year old struggle just to exist. That’s how you know he about that life and just don’t be talking just to be heard. Powerful message
This episode is so amazing! Such a breath of fresh air! Ali Siddiq is a top tier comedian… but more importantly perfect example of a man!Y’all really put on for our people! Keep going 💪🏾🥳
I'm surprised this episode isn't clipped up. There are so many different moments of life changing content on this episode! I from Texas, I've been a fan of Ali but I've never seen him speak with that much empathy and passion. Wow, episodes like this are necessary! Much love fellas, peace!
This is an amazing episode! What makes it so crazy is, I just watched Ali Siddiq's first episode a week ago and I've been watching his content since. He's not only funny, he really cares about people.
They always listen. They give people the space to explain their perspectives, even if they don't agree with it and every time a guest gets to dropping jewels; they stop and give them their space. As a young man trying to learn the art of conversation, this is SUPER important to watch. 3 men with enough wisdom to contribute to the conversation, just stopped and allowed that black man the opportunity to speak his heart. Thank ya'll for showing us how it's done.
This episode is DEFINITELY going in my top favorite episodes!! I LOVE LOVE TO SEE BLACK MEN sit down and have intellectual conversation with each other. I LOVE TO SEE IT!! When I saw the name Ali Siddiq, I knew I had to take a listen. Episode saved so that I can easily find it, and listen again and again. Ponder and execute in my own life. DC threw a few gems in here as well. Really enjoying the 85 South platform and the people you are bringing.
First off Ali is one of my favorite comics the min The Domino Effect drop I was right there waiting, instant classic and hands down one of THE BEST comedy specials of the year and 85 South is one of my favorite podcast!! So when I saw the title I flipped and my god as Lous said ALI WAS IN HIS BAG this episode THAT MOMENT froze the entire trap, like DC, mannnn I had to hold back tears. Ali's passion for his message rings out not only in that moment but throughout his entire body of work which I highly suggest you listen too. Shootout the entire crew on the transition from that moment back into conversation absolutely seamlessly as well, shows the years of work but into the craft. Absolutely one of my favorite episodes I really hope this one wins and award for The Christmas Trap Awards Show 🔥🔥

Saw this on the app. It was one of the most powerful conversations I’ve heard in a while. About to put it on in my office and let my coworkers hear this. 85💪🏾
