“Head On/Pill” is a psychedelic journey that incorporates elements of kraut-rock and psych-rock masterfully. The song is an amalgamation of two parts, as the psychedelic mellowness of “Head On” transitions into a fast paced jam on “Pill”.
Despite the song being 16-minutes long, Stu Mackenzie’s vocals are always around to keep the attention of the track focused. The congruity of the seven-piece comes naturally as years of garage rock jams have taught the group to find the pocket and stay in it together.

I vividly remember hearing head on/pill on rtrfm many years ago. I was in Welshpool picking up a cheese salad sandwich from my favourite lunch bar and the song came on and I sat in awe for 16 minutes.
I saw them at the Rosemount in Perth for the 'float along fill your lungs' tour and they were epic. My wife's cousin, who has good taste in music and has seen literally every amazing alternative band ever, said it was the best concert he'd ever seen.
