- The 2023 Ford Territory is finally out in the Philippines and with a price that ranges from 1,335,000-1,599,000, it's a lot more expensive than the first one. The spec sheet for the Territory is a mixed bag as it gets a couple of new features but also loses a couple of features of the previous base model. However, going beyond the spec sheet, it does have one thing going for it. It's now a much more engaging car to drive than the first one.

I test drove one yesterday at BGC’s event. Have to say, DCT wasn’t as bad as I expected. Definitely very sensitive to the pedal, and takes some getting used to. But it was able to accelerate really quickly.
Aircon and tech were great, there were blind spot sensors to beep and that was helpful for a big car.
My only real concern about this car is that the tech is probably not going to be reliable in the long run. Can’t imagine all that machinery lasting 5-10 years.
As for fuel consumption, you don’t buy Ford to save money lol. So it shouldn’t even be a consideration.
i got the ford nextgen 2024 base model. for the fuel consumption, my experience is 8-11km/l city driving only. dikopa natatry mixed free highway and city
the tech concern is actually a concern
@@rachellucas4082 I mean the Corolla cross features a full digital display, and moonroof as well. We don’t hear any flack against that? Must just be the Ford prejudice 🙂

UPDATE: I bought ford ranger XLT, really happy about it.
Things i dont like about FT, experienced from my several test drives is the delay in electronic hand break, aggressive acceleration even with just tiny little pinch in the pedal. But not to discredit FT, everything i didnt mention is exceptional if not good.

I have the same sentiment, choosing this or XLT.. While this Territory is really comfortable to drive, I find myself getting the XLT due to its flexibility.. Was it worth it? Yes for me.
May pickup kana ba or Wala? if wala pa mag ranger ka mas practical dagdagan mo nalang ng cover sa bed para secured storage mo sa likod kasi parehas lang sila na 5 seats. Next gen naman narin interior ng XLT kaya hindi ka rin maiiwan. Nauna kami nagkaroon ng crossover (captiva) bago pickup (ranger) and there are a lot times na pa sabi kami na “kung pick up to kasi kasya yun dito”. Pero check mo muna size ng garahe mo baka Hindi kasya pickup. Usually kasi yung size ng garahe pang Everest lang. Hindi kasya yung ranger namin kailangan pang-iadjust 😂
Comparing a ladder on frame truck and a monocoque chassis crossover suv is like comparing a dirt bike and a sports bike.
@@ricsegreto4107 agree, though i was just particular to the driving experience. FT caught my attention due to its size, cheaper price, and ofcourse it is new gen also.
Can the smaller 1.5 gas engine be close to the bigger 2.0 dsl engine in terms of the impression engaging driving experience, or which from both is more engaging to drive but i think it will always depends on the preference of a driver or individual and for me i chose and bought the Ranger, i used to drive older 2016 ranger model.
That 😂 at 11:22 was what sold the car to me.

i really like the open handle of the ranger/everest from the inside. i was hoping ford will adapt them to all of their cars

Not a rebranded s330, this is actually the ford equator sport in china

The dual clutch was pretty ok in stop and go traffic. It's one of the better ones that I've tried
The previous Dual Clutch Transmission (Powershift) was a dry type dct and was jerky accdg to owners of the fiesta. Now, i read that its a wet dct. i hope Ford has sorted out the problems on their Dct.
I found the auto break a godsend feature on a DCT vehicle!

Cs55 is a bit faster but can't beat the comfort of the new territory

Without the Panaromic Sun/Moonroof, I feel like its a downgrade from previous top of the line..
Try test driving it and you won't feel like it's a downgrade
Panoramic sunroof is a nice feature to have but it’s not practical in this country due to the climate and the air pollution within the metro. The rubber seals also tend to dry up over time which causes water to leak inside the car during the rainy season.
@@JasonDavide agree with you. panoramic sunroof is not much a big deal. it is just a display. test drive it to see whether it was downgraded or not.
in my opinion sa whether ng pinas panoramic sunroof is not that important, your just nit picking mas importante pa ang "adaptive cruise control' kung yun sinabi mo baka mag agree pa ko sayo sir. Panoramic sunroof for me is not a deal breaker and i think that is the same for most pinoy.
@@JasonDavide +1 on the test drive. Tho, the price point of this compared to previous "Top of the line" would leave a big question mark to potential buyer as to why it doesnt have a sunroof? Isnt that quite of a downgrade? On a buyer's perspective, adding 200k++ to get the Top of the line would be a dealer breaker..
