If it resets the time even when doing this, make the .txt file read only. This worked for me. But now I still have to figure out how to make the time stamp disappear. Adding N to the end doesn't work for me.

I had these devices over the last 2 decades, and needed to remember how to reset them.. the key for me was to copy the folders as a back-up (in case it failed) then just deleted the Video file, made a "userconfig.txt" and "time" folder with the same format for this video.. removed from the PC - ran a test video - looked at the files in the PC and worked fine.. thanx again
Good idea, Subscribed (always a like when videos are helpful with recommendations thru social media). There is another trick to place titles on each camera video simply by renaming it in the font you want to use by the way

@@faizahrazali6847 1st check that you are using a "universal USB micro" charger (I found out the hard way some devices have the wires reversed and may not connect correctly from all acharging cords, luckily these camera;s use a 'universal' adaptor.. just like a cell-phone except the light should blink red and when it is charging then it will be a solid blue LED color on the back of the pen when charged (from an outlet "standard USB caharger) no Apple device charger for the wall (just regular USB charger). Most pc/laptop WILL NOT CHARGE A DEVICE, but will allow you to have access to the file system, make sure you have the correct cable type (STANDARD USB) to it. in a pc/laptop just open your file manager (click a file and click computer then click the USB camera) and you should be able to get into the video files easily?? From there these instructions is easy to reset it for date/time. Let me know.. Sorry I am not on youtube much, but can find me on my web pages at spidertec.org (I agree there should be complete tutorials for these products, I and I will consider making some just as a consumer also)
Just bought one of the newer models. The new file name is "userconfig.txt." I used your instructions and it took three tries to make it work. I think the issue might have been that I turned the recording off too soon...you have to wait for the video to write to the card or you risk file corruption. Again, that being said, your instructions worked. I noticed that after successfully making the change, the UserConfig.txt file overwrites my changes and turns it back to 2015-01-01 00:00:00, but when I recorded another video the time and date stamping were correct. UPDATE: Upon further reflection, I believe the pen uses the creation date of the Photo and Video folders to base it's timer on after you set the create date in the UserConfig file. Thanks!

Hi...after I followed your directions I cannot perform any functions on the device. It won't turn off...it is stuck in the record position with the blue light on.
Ive done this to mine but what im finding is that later on when i record again it stays with that previous date and time. It wont continue to roll clock when not in use.
not saying this works, I'm still trying to set mine, but... when I get mine to work I'm going to rename the file to _time so it does not revert to the previously set time the next time I turn it on

It doesn't work on my camera :-( When I change time.txt and unplug camera, it resets by itselves to date 18.5.2014 and every video starts at time 2:25. I can't find any way how to set the time :-/
The timestamp thing on these glasses is the most useless and ridiculous thing ever! I want get rid of it!!! I read lots of guides and followed the instructions on several ways to do it by including an N and the end of the date and time format in the TIME.TXT file (2010.11.05 13.45.30 N) but no matter what I do, it still puts the time stamp. Im going crazy already!!! This destroyed all the videos. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!!!
I know how to display the time that you actually input, it is done by makeing the .txt file read only under windows. But even then, the N doesn't work.

Why can't the date be changed after 2015??? I tried with 2019, 2020, 21, 22 and 23 years and it goes back to the last one that was - that is, 2015.
