A little spice would have been nice to see with the Amy/Ty storyline & if Ty returns, but would be sacreglish with these new charctors, Nathan,edwin,finn all cheapen the show,
I love how this show has family values! Love that it will remain wholesome! This is why it is so popular! If Ty is not coming back then it is expected for Amy to move on. But it has to be a great man!
The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.
I thought the way the writers let Ty die this way was crap. There was little drama, which should have been. Oh well, he died. No big deal. Jack's horse Paint had a better funeral. And scattering his ashes? They have a cemetery. There was nothing left for Lindy to come and honor her father. Were the writer's just PO at Graham? Ty stole the show early on. It wasn't his fault but the character had the most redeeming qualities out of anyone there. I think the writers knew the show was going to suck with out him.

If you want it wholesome. They need to return the Heartland show to its's roots and return some of the original cast back to the show and one of them that is so important is Graham Wardel as Ty, return Ty and Amy Borden storyline with their cutest daughter. Do whatever they need to do to make him want to come back and do a great finale of the Borden family and Ty is not dead because he was kidnaped, secretly put in witness protection and his family has to believe he was dead as well as the bear poachers so they would leave Amy and his family alone and not hurt them. If you absolutely cannot get Graham back Amy has no guy interest, no Nathan because she started having flashbacks memories of Ty that she cannot be in a relationship with anyone else and needs to focus on Lyndy and tell her everything about Ty, still build their home for her and Lyndy by the swing that Ty made. Amy and Lyndy take care of the wild horses,. Amy gets back rescuing and rehabilitating horses and continues her work with the youth center she had in Ty's name and teach Lyndy her work with horses. Ty's mother needs to come back and help Amy take care of Lyndy and tell her everything about her son Ty. No marrying Amy off to Nathan would be the worst choice. Jack needs to talk about Borden family is part of his family and Ty has a stone on the fireplace and talk about that with Lyndy. They need to close Heartland in season 18 with Amy and Lyndy Borden taking care of the business, Lyndy attending school and they happily live the dream of building their home on the land that Jack gave Amy and Ty even if they cannot bring Ty (Graham Wardel back for an awesome happy Heartland reunion and finale in season 18. This the original Actors can move on to new projects. Trying to continue without the original story of Amy & Ty love story and original casted actors this Heartland tv series it's time to close it and it will fail trying to continue it with new actors and a new soapy storylines. Many shows have proven that it does not work trying to continue a show with a new beginning storyline you have lost your audience and will not get them back. No Ty no Heartland tv series no buts about it! They must never end it that Heartland ranch is being sold because that would make Jack not keeping his promise to his father not keep heartland ranch for generations to come. Amy and Lyndy must hold on and keep it in the family and take care of the Heartland ranch. if Graham Wardel comes back as Ty he would never let go of Heartland ranch and keep it in the family for generations to come. Ty loved Heartland because it turned his life around and met his wife Amy.
Ty & Amy's love affair was often times devoid of romance but fans still loved their interactions, but hey romance is the spice of life. Do we see Shawn in this? Amy with anyone other than Ty does NOT a love story make.
Well wholesome went out the window with all the flings Tim and Lou have had, and now they are doing with Amy. My daughter would be my top priority, and making sure she remembers her dad.

To encourage all that have had their mate pass, Heartland should show how a healthy person moves on after healing. Death is a part of life. I love that a wholesome show like Heartland has chosen to address it head on. Please don't linger in the past. Life is in the present. Blessings

Everyone has to remember is that Graham Wardle was the one who decided to leave the show the writers and producers two year warning that he was ready to leave and look into other projects he had lined up personally Amber Marshall aware of his plans were to leave I remember reading somewhere she said it’s like we’re breaking up. Graham and the writers Decided to let Ty go out as a hero by saving Amy’s life. So that Lyndy wouldn’t lose both parents due to a hunter aiming for a wolf.. 🐺 even though Ty did not realize he was shot as well quickly picked Amy up and took her to the hospital. One of the nurses realize that he was bleeding too too. My question is why didn’t they just keep them both overnight in the hospital. I think the writers did an excellent job with Graham exit as Ty Yes, there were a lot of fans upset with the way it written for Ty’s character. but they did want to give him the respect of the part Graham had played for so many years it went from too young teenagers fall in love to young adults, finding their soulmates, and finally the happy ever after a marriage and a beautiful daughter that came from the love they both had for each other, so let it go and continue watching Heartland . I would love to see more years to come to wear Amy and Lou take over the running of the ranch and Jack and Lisa sit back and enjoy the grandchildren.

I think the show should go at least 20 seasons. It’s a good show. Plots and story lines are good. Just get some new writers and make it go at least 20 seasons!!
