With a basic understanding of balance and anatomy, which judo teaches through partner exercises and techniques, it is certainly easier to adapt to other martial arts. The basis for kicks is an understanding of one's own center of gravity and foot techniques, strikes are recognizable in grip fighting with reversed signs. It is probably also easier to estimate the fighting distance because the possible development of force can be recognized in the opponent's center of gravity and speed. Ultimately, of course, it is a question of what is actually trained to build up muscles and flexibility and to be able to adapt to different opponents. In the end, of course, fighting experience is also irreplaceable.

Although it became obvious with the judo vs BJJ because of the stance, and the judo vs muay tai because of the clothing, not everyone knows that so you should have clearly put who was who.
well seems like most martial arts can compete with Judo and really depends on who's more skilled. but striking based arts like karate and boxing don't stand a chance if they're not able to KO them before getting to the ground.
Pitting a white belt in BJJ and a rookie sambo fighter against a black belt in judo is not a good way to compare martial arts. Judo is a great martial art for working in the standup and moving a person into the parterre. A person who can work in the parterre and stand-up, as well as possess striking techniques like combat sambo, will be knowingly stronger than a pure judoka. It definitely makes sense to study several disciplines simultaneously to achieve versatility in martial arts. A person who masters basic boxing technique, advanced BJJ or judo technique, and has the physical conditioning of a wrestler will be much more functional than a pure style fighter.
So it looks like they teach a lot ground game in Judo? I thought it was just throws and Jiu-Jitsu is where it took over from there? But like one comment below said, jiujitsu is Judo with without throws.. Am really surprised how judo fares with other arts
I’m confused at the Judo vs BJJ clip. There is no way for any practitioner to achieve red belt, as it is only reserved for (iirc) two of the Gracie’s. The structure of this video implies that only Judo guys are winning. This makes me think that 1. The poster of the video lied, 2. The guy is a fraud
its a competition thing, so the ref awards points for the right person, if he lifts the hand with the red band and awards points, the points go to the one with the red belt
Because that's what the video is set up to show :D Judo is a solid martial art, but it isn't a complete one just like most others. To some extent, most try to reduce the risk of injury by restricting some techniques and concentrate on perfecting others, while any martial art that tries to learn everything will take longer to perfect anying. A boxer won't beat a judoka in a grapple, but neither is the judoka going to out-box the boxer. Its all situational. That said, many fights do involve grappling in some way.
@@rodtheworm There is only about one video on youtube that shows a boxer knocking out a judoka, every other video shows the Judoka winning. This creator is not being biased even I was surprised at the results.
judo vs jiu jitsu it was a cheating, because the individual who fought judo was a black belt, so he would have had to fight with a jiu jitsu black belt, and not a white belt, jiu jitsu would definitely have won, some will say that the jiu-jitsu fighter is a red belt because it is in the video, but it is not true, as this red belt only serves to differentiate opponents.

Always bet on the Gi! (and if the fight is against another Gi, than always bet on the one who grabs the sleeves and lapel) 🥋
It always depends on how good somebody is in his art
That wrestler did not know what to do whats the judoka was pinned and just sat there.
He doesnt know submissions, if he did the judoka would be in trouble
If modern Judo still held to its roots to the kodakan and incorporate more ground fighting to their arsenal, they'd be unstoppable.
Anyone know that throw at 0:46 ?
Ura-nage
the judo guy usually wins when he is bigger
Nope. The gi makes them look bigger than they actually are.

You know what i've noticed, People thinks it's all matter of styles, Which is there is a line of truth in that?, But you got also think it also depends on the individual and what he knows, To be good At that style as well, Instead of Making click bait videos just pin into styles against each other And be like well that sums it.This could be that that could be this? Analyzed from our perspective, And not actually Talk to an take advice And learn from experience from real martial art experts, Who's been in the game?A lot longer Then these young youtube's, Who only want to make a profit from views.

so what kind of rule we're going for....when 1 style is going against other style.
respect for the first judoka, great respect: I considered him a 100% loser, but in the moment of joint contact: boom!
First guy def had more than a year of striking
I do Goju Ryu Karate which has Judo throws. I can say Judo is one of the best martial arts out there, It's my favourite grappling art. Respect! 💪🤝
Thanks man ✌🏼
It looks like a Tai Otoshi at 12:09 no?
Bad faith to choose a bad bjj practitioner against a judo black belt to show that one is "better" than the other.
🔥
If im not mistaken only issue is the bjj guy is a white belt
C'mon! That's Akiyama in the first match, he's not JUST a Judoka!
What happens when a person whos trained in grecco roman for years learns judo?
With the Ezekiel, the more you push away, the tighter it gets. It’s cooked
I think a judoka can learn some basic striking pretty easy, while a striker can't just learn judo.
White belt in bjj vs black belt in judo, nice comparison👍👍👍
Edik , ehrlich gesagt . Als sambo muss man doch Fedor zeigen.

I mix my judo with boxing and it’s perfect for mma or self defense in the street…
in other words when a judo guy gets you n the ground... game over.
Judo vs Wrestling Who Win ??
So it looks like they teach a lot ground game in Judo? I thought it was just throws and Jiu-Jitsu is where it took over from there? But like one comment below said, jiujitsu is Judo with without throws..
Am really surprised how judo fares with other arts
We teach a lot of ground work, but the problem is in judo competition we don’t get enough time for the ground work.
I think the BJJ guy's wearing a white belt
its a competition thing, so the ref awards points for the right person, if he lifts the hand with the red band and awards points, the points go to the one with the red belt
Absolut
The first guy is defintely a Karateka too.
Grabbing and grappling with a judoka or a BJJ. They live for that, they spend their lives in locks and holds.
Why does fucking judo win over every fighting style??
Because that's what the video is set up to show :D
Judo is a solid martial art, but it isn't a complete one just like most others.
Judo uses all your body strength and rest of the martial arts only specializes hands techniques and legs
@@rodtheworm There is only about one video on youtube that shows a boxer knocking out a judoka, every other video shows the Judoka winning. This creator is not being biased even I was surprised at the results.
Because it's so complete. Takedowns with more technicality than boxers, and submission grappling that's more efficient than BJJ
Magyarok?
Igen
El judo es un Arte Marcial excepcional.
Dicho lo anterior el karateka, mi respeto por él, pero no era precisamente Lyoto Machida.
We are they comparing black belt judo Vs white belt BJJ ? Isn't this a lil sus😂
judo vs jiu jitsu it was a cheating, because the individual who fought judo was a black belt, so he would have had to fight with a jiu jitsu black belt, and not a white belt, jiu jitsu would definitely have won, some will say that the jiu-jitsu fighter is a red belt because it is in the video, but it is not true, as this red belt only serves to differentiate opponents.
Pero muchacho como llevas a un Judoka al piso, o al clinch heces eso y estás frito. Lo castigas a golpes hasta noquearlo.
it dont depends in the martial art it depends of the fighter
