Boring Long Checklist Grob 109B in a Praxis Video. My own Business Jet 😂

  • Jedes Flugzeug hat andere Eigenschaften, die Grob109B ist nicht schwierig, aber man muss sich an sie gewöhnen! Ich wollte dieses Video eigentlich nicht veröffentlichen, aber warum auch nicht, mit Untertiteln. Ich glaube nicht, einer dieses 26 Minuten anguckt, wenn ja schreib es in die Kommentare! Danke 😂😎

    My personal checklist for the Grob 109B:
    Check oil level, Water in tank? CHECK
    Outside check + Adjust PEDAL/Seats CHECK
    Check cameras on 😂
    Hauptschalter + Choke + BenzinePump ON Foto: Stunden Messer
    Then 8 prop compressions - @ D all OFF.
    Segelflug AKKU on, switch nach vorne! SET + get in
    1. Adjust and secure seat harness, GOOD
    2. Parking brake SET ( + Pull blue )
    3. Avionic Switch OFF
    4. Fuel shutoff valve (red button) OPEN
    5. All Controls, Sticks FREE
    6. Airbrakes locked (blue handle) CHECK
    7. Altimeter and instruments on plus SET
    9 Close doors LOCKED
    STARTING THE ENGINE ´go for’ 50°C oil and 130°C cylinder
    1. Choke (If engine Cold) SET / on
    2 Throttle (gas) closed, 2cm if warm ADJUST
    3 Propeller area CLEAR
    4 Master switch = HauptSchalter ON
    5 Generatorlight extra switch on ROT !
    5a Fuel pump, EIV intercom, Strobelight ON
    6 Ignition + choke closing fast START
    7 RPM 1200 then 1500 round running SET (2 minutes) !
    8 Oil pressure 5 bar GREEN/check
    9. Avionics main switch + landing light ON
    11 Electrical instruments CHECK - ALL ON
    12 Radio and Nav. transponder SET ON, SQ VFR/on
    13 Charging current CHECK
    14 Fuel pump OFF
    Warm / Run up @ Holding point Run the engine at 1200 RPM for 2 minutes before accelerating to 1500 RPM for 5 to 10 minutes until an oil temperature of 50oC (max 100 C) and a Cylinder Head temperature of 130oC is reached
    1. Release P Brake, panel all Push forward all
    1a Taxi to Holding point, stick back
    2. TOE Brakes full with feet SET /full
    3. Throttle (gas) FULL
    4. RPM? 2700 ( 100 ? CHECK !
    5. Carburetor heat (( 50 RPM) CHECK
    6. Oil pressure 5 bar CHECK
    7. Throttle IDLE
    Before Takeoff
    1. Throttle FREE
    2. Airbrake's (blue) extra check LOCKED
    3. Folding doors LOCKED
    4. Emergency out/ Notausgang SECURE
    5. Trim NEUTRAL (red marking)
    7. Carburetor heat OFF, push all, nach vorne
    8. fuel pump ON
    9. Engine instruments CHECK (all green)
    10. Parking brake Push, alles nach vorne
    Maximum Effective cross wind, 90° compound, for takeoff and landing is 11 Kts 22 kmh
    Takeoff and Climbing
    1. Directional, feet! no toe MAINTAIN, mid-runway
    1a Be prepared crosswind NOSE Turns in wind very fast, FEET!
    2. Lift tailwheel balance,push @ 22 Kts /40 kmh
    3. Lift-off @ 46 Kts /85 kmh
    4. Climb speed (49 - 60 Kts) CHECK 90 kmh -110 kmh
    5. Oil temperature (Max 120 C) CHECK
    6. fuel pump + Landinglight @ safety height OFF
    Horizontal Flight & Cruise - Reisen
    1. Throttle 1900 RPM, speed blue mark SET
    2. Prop to “CRUISE” position PULL rope
    3. check with Full power RPM max 2300 now
    4. Increase airspeed, dive CONTROL 170 kmh
    5. Cruise RPM (2000 2400 2800 RPM) SET 2400=170kmh
    6. Carburetor heat AS REQUIRED, test
    Decent - Downwind - Gegenanflug!
    1. Carburetor heat + fuel pump ON
    2. Throttle off ‘gas weg’ IDLE motor
    3. Airspeed (62 Kts / 114 kmh blue mark) CONTROL
    4. Prop - “START” position check? PULL Rope
    5. Trottle full gas CHECK 2700 RPM !!!
    6. Parkingbrake check, Push, nach vorne, on
    Approach and Landing
    1. Airspeed (Max 62 Kts) SET Blue Mark
    2. Auxiliary fuel pump + landing light ON
    3. Airbrakes AS REQUIRED
    4. In 3-point attitude TOUCH DOWN
    5. Airbrakes , Stick pull AS needed, allway pull stick
    6. Toe Brakes (With CARE) APPLY at low speed
    7. Fuel pump off now OFF
    Engine Shutdown
    1. Avionic main switch OFF
    2. Auxiliary fuel pump OFF plus wait cool down
    3. All electrical consumers OFF
    4. Throttle (For Cooling) IDLE 30 SEC Minimal!, Wichtig
    5. Cylinder head temperature ( max 150 C) CHECK prevent backfire propellor
    5. Ignition OFF make foto instruments
    6. Master switch OFF
    6a Segelflug soaring Batterie off (push back, nach hinter)
    7. Parking brake (option) SET plus airbrakes full pull.
    Soaring Flight
    1. Best Glide ratio 1:28 @ 62 Kts 114 kmh (IAS)
    2. Min sink rate 217 fpm 58 Kts (IAS)
    3. Best Circle speed 51 Kts (IAS) 95 KMH
    Engine Shutdown in Flight - go gliding
    1. Throttle IDLE
    2. Airspeed for gliding (54 Kts 94 kmh) MAINTAIN
    3. Cylinder head temperature (150oC) CHECK
    4. Avionic main switch OFF
    5. Ignition OFF
    6. Feather propeller PULL/ROTATE
    7. Avionic main switch (soaring akku on) ON optional
    8. Unnecessary electrical equipment OFF
    9. Switch pressure to soaring Check
    Caution the PROPELLER may only be feathered with the ENGINE OFF and the PROPELLER WINDMILLING

    Found this interesting, not boring... We use almost the same checks on ours. On ours it is necessary to complement the handbrake by a resolute pull on the air brake, otherwise it does not stay put on run up.
    One thing we changed is to turn of the fuel pump during warm up and turn it on again before takeoff. This to make sure the fuel supply works normally without it. When we have cold weather here in northern Sweden the warm up can be very slow.

      yes your are wright I have to pull the Blue airbrakes to fix the parking takes. Newer grob 109b only have toe takes and a parking brake seperate. Thanks for your comment, super 👍

      @@PilotJan There are 2 more Grob 109 flying around here, both have this issue. I was not aware that they improved it on the more recent ones. Good info, thanks!

      My sn is 6337 a few production numbers later they changed the concept with only toe-brakes. also the english vigilant has an other system, here you you lock the airbrakes in a fixed position, then landing it as a Cessna with gas and speed. I'm looking for this little adaption to practise this method with the Grob.
