I agree. Plus the way to use polishes changes also. I think uniqueness and having at least 1 backup of a certain color/type of polish you know you really like is really important. Lessons of a polish addict.
I absolutely love those OPI polishes arctic fox collection. I remember adding a UP topper to that polish in particular and it was amazing. This section of colors would be so hard for me to get rid of things too especially like you mention purple with blue shimmer or purple with green or blue or teal flakes. I don’t know how you’ve done it.😅
I have to be in the mood to declutter, but I have such an attachment to many of my polishes. Lately getting rid of some neutrals has been the easiest to let go.
@@NurseJackie2582 you keep the opi cap. I've been replacing mine. the kbshimmer brush is a little shorter than the opi. so it wont go as low into the bottle, but totally worth it.
Oh good! I like to keep the caps that have designs on them (china glaze, color club, ilnp, Opi etc) because then you know which brand it is by looking.
@@NurseJackie2582 yes! I don't like to replace the caps if it changes the look of the Polish bottle. I just bought some replacement brushes and caps from Cracked. I'm hoping they are going to replace the night owl. I think I have to replace the cap but they are also black. And I really like the feel of cracked caps.
I have "What's This?" on my Halloween rack this year - such a gorgeous glow I'd forgotten! "Don't Make A Sound" is another superb one. Wow Wild Horses is so pretty! Such a shame about the formula.
Stunning colours and brand's. I agree about the differences with the colours IRL as opposed to in the bottles. I just ordered some Emily de Molly polishes for the first time 💅😀💖TFS
I love to collect the purples with turquoise/green/teal somethings too. Letting go of ANY purples is a process 😂 at least with me. You did a great job. I bought An Ode To No One in last year‘s PPU rewind after seeing Your videos and I LOOOOVE it.
oh my goodness! you put little magnet stickers on the bottles? I've been picking up more magnetics lately, but it really bothers me when companies don't put a magnetic label. I'm going to make stickers for them on my Cricket.
No I don’t put stickers on them! The brand did. I also can’t stand when brands don’t do it, and most brands don’t. Bkl is good about it but most others aren’t.
@@NurseJackie2582 it should definitely be automatic that they would put a label on them. most of us have a big collection. Mercedes just swatched the new collection for Cracked polish, she didn't know one of the polishes was magnetic. So in her Swatch video we didn't get to see it magnified. 😏
Sooooo annoying! I have a polish I almost decluttered because I didn’t know it was magnetic and I looked up my swatch pic and saw it was magnetic. I guess I knew at one point 😂
I have a question about something I don’t hear people talk about too often. How tight do nail polish caps need to be to keep the polish from drying out? I tend to put them on way too tight and I recently broke a couple Glam Polish caps. I don’t want to break any more but I also don’t want the polish to get thick or dry out.
I usually just tighten it until it’s snug. I think the problem is, if it’s too tight and somehow polish still gets stuck around the edges, it dries too hard and is impossible to open. But if it’s too loose, then air escapes and also the bottle neck gets dirty and dries.
27:40 KB shimmer Lust at Sea looks so pretty! Try it over grey or white undies since it’s probably the skin tone peeking through that’s making it look muddy on the nails. I have some polish that I exclusively wear over one coat of light grey to give that punch to the colour.
Hmmmm that’s a good idea! I have actually decluttered it during my second round of declutters. I’m curious though and may swatch on nail wheel just to see
I find it so difficult to get rid of polishes when I know my tastes change over time 🙈💜 Great video 😊
Same!! I got rid of a ton of holos, including indie, several years ago. And now I like holo.
I agree. Plus the way to use polishes changes also. I think uniqueness and having at least 1 backup of a certain color/type of polish you know you really like is really important. Lessons of a polish addict.
lol so true!

It’s hard to get rid of polishes that have nice formulas! Especially when you like the polish, even if you have others like it
I believe you are right with KBShimmer brushes fitting OPI 😃
They do, I replaced all of my OPI brushes with the KBShimmer replacement brushes.
Oh good!! Do you keep the Opi cap? Or you need Kbshimmer cap?

It is 😆

Yes I’m bummed about that one!! I wish I could save it

It’s so pretty! I think next time I might try it with undies! I’ve worn it twice on its own now.
Glam Polish is coming to PPU!!! I'm happy, finally I'll be able to can get their polishes
I saw!! I don’t love the blue for this month but I’m excited to see what they bring going forward!!
@@NurseJackie2582 I don’t like the blue, too, they make such amazing polishes, I hope they will come up with something better and unique soon 🥰
I’m sure they will!!

I am new to the indi polish world. What do you do with your destashed polishes?
I have always done swaps with friends. This time I might sell my indies but I’m unsure
