It's a cool puzzle but as an elder scrolls nerd it doesnt make sense to call it a dwemer puzzle if it doesnt have alot of gears and isnt made out of brass

I saw "Elder Scrolls" and "Dwemer" and clicked instantly. But when I saw that it was wood and not brass nor very Dwemer esk i was kinda disappointed..

Im not sure about lore, but one thing about dwemer race is eye catching: they make all their stuff from brass like metal. So that box could be also made from something like that, or just covered in some brass color paint to look similiar.

If only the puzzle was made out of metal. That would've given the puzzle a more authentic feel since dwemer objects are mainly metal.

The dwemer of elder scrolls are the dwarven race, and they constructed megalithic underground structures, cities, maze's, puzzles, & are highly gifted in metallurgy, & they usually build some nasty traps throughout there underground cities.
I can’t be the only one who’d love to see a puzzle designed/made by Chris! I feel like it would be incredible!

Naw, the Dwemer were both in the Elder Scrolls universe. They were elves who lived underground and eventually got the nickname of Dwarves but the concept of the short stocky bearded Dwarves doesn't exist in Elder Scrolls
Nah, in Elderscrolls the "dwarves" are actually an extinct group of elves.
Mer litteraly means elves. Dwe + Mer = elves of the deep. It is stated hundreds of times in game, so how do you not know it? Just read "Dwemer inquiries, volume 1" or "Dwarves, volume 1". Dwarves is the human language translation for Dwemer, just like woodelves is a translation for Bosmer

If I had one of those, I would certainly be one to take it apart and reconstruct it to the harder formation. I love seeing how things fit together and how those complex mechanisms mesh. It looks like a lot of fun and a peek into the mind of engineers and puzzle makers.

The dwemer practiced dark magics, careful what you find!
They mainly studied in the way of science rather than magic.
But a lot of their constructs were powered by magicks. So, really, they bridged the gap between magic and science.

This is mostly the first puzzle having 2 parts to solve but it is one of the puzzles that cost less time to solve!!! Epic Puzzle 👌👌👌👌👌Loved it!!
other then the gears nothing about it really screams dwemer to me, would have been nice to see some brass pieces or maybe even some dwemer runes carved on the bevel
Brass is heavy, to be fair. But adding dwemer runes would have looked awsome

Idk if I’m the only one that caught it, but Chris you said that the Dwemer were Elves, but they are actually Dwarves...
The Dwemer are Elves though. It's in their name, "mer" directly translates to "Elf." Dwarves is merely how common folk refer to them, much like how the refer to Orsimer as Orcs.
To be a proper "Dwemer" puzzle box it would need to be all metal (ideally brass) and stone and be off the chart in difficulty, like an 11 or 12. Throwing some wooden cogs on a wooden box and calling it Dwemer just says to me that the creator doesn't know anything about TES and is banking on a name. Kinda gross, honestly.

I loved the intro, especially funny with the text over the specs! What a beautiful puzzle, with the varied types of wood and stains. I would have liked to reassemble it myself. I think that if it takes a hour & a half to make the second puzzle, I'd forget how the inner workings were put together anyway! lol
