What Foundations did was give a few tools to existing deck, and Llanowar Elves. That said, Llanowar enables a lot of green decks that weren't viable. I've top 8 a local RCQ with a Selesnya Overlord Caretaker's deck. I hear monogreen and selesnya aggro are popping out every now and then.
Same. I currently have 0 rare wildcards and have 13 mythics left. I think the reason is that the majority of your rare wildcards get eaten up by the staple rare 2 colour lands instead of interesting cards.
@Noobie2k7 yeah, but also I find that decks just have a lot of rares and usually only like 2 or 3 different cards that are mythic, even outside of lands
The new Kaito from Foundations is underestimated in my opinion. Like Niv Mizzet synergises with Niv Mizzet, Kaito synergises with Kaito! You either spam out Ninja's who grow with your emblems or you make things unblockable (and loot 1) to enable Kaito's ninjutsu or finish the opponent. Also since dealing combat damage gives Kaito Loyalty Counters he is fairly hard to remove and can use his ultimate fairly easy.
Been doing a Kaito brew with the 3 standard legal planeswalkers, Nashi, Saibo Cryptomancers, and Invasion of Kamigawa for ninja shenanigans, lots of fun
I actually think the other Kaito is better for this deck, it fits your curve much better and saves you from running Preacher which is just not good enough anymore imo, plus it doesn't require you to bounce your own creature and gives you an extra creature (should almost always go for the 2/1) instead of leaving you with 1 less creature. Has better synergy with the whole cheap flyer attackers strategy too, because it's REALLY easy to get a free 2/1 EVERY turn with it. Gives you free board presence to set you up for the greedy enduring curiosity to draw, and is impossible to efficiently remove, because you get a 2/1 as soon as you play it, so even if they burn 2 mana and a card to play it, you've still got a 2/1 for 1 mana effectively. It's just so good.
I would love to hear your take on what control needs to be a viable option. Right now Bo1 and Bo3 meta is all aggro/midrange. There are control decks in the meta.
It needs broader and earlier cheap removal. You can’t run too many counter spells because of anti counter cards and the threats are too diverse to run specific removal for everything. Even with sideboard you have to board in a direction and not hedge against most of the meta.
Something also to note is there is some insane CA in standard at the moment, and will be for awhile. Innocence and curiosity on top of caretakers talent and annex means any deck resolving even one of those effects that you don’t have an immediate answer to will drown you in CAn
There's more to the game than mono red turning cards sideways. If people don't like interaction or different strategies maybe they should explore other games. MtG was built with interaction as a fundamental part of the game. Interaction makes for better and more fun play experiences. It makes the game 2 sided and not just who can turn the most cards sideways the fastest.
Is it just me, or is CGB that kid from fairy odd parents grown up? his last wish was for the ultimate magic collection....lol meow anyone who reads this and gets the reference will never see anything else lol dig the deck...dimir ninjas are so fun...
This deck reminds me of the firsts Esper midrange deck with Raffine in Streets of New Capenna. Draw Kaito and the deck works really well, don’t draw him and the deck sucks.
I made it to top 500 mythic with Mono U control, only thing I consistently lose to is mono red aggro but if I draw decent cards I can beat it. Only creature is seedshark but I do take opponents creatures with spells. I'm prob gonna stop playing because I can't stand discard decks and I swear every other deck is a discard or mono red aggro it's so stale. I can beat the discards but the games are just boring.
@CovertGoBlue GG CGB, I was the Synthesizer deck. Super cool to play against you! Hope I gave you a fun match!
Sick deck bro
Awesome deck 🎉
i need a decklist!!
now that artifact deck was damn scary holyyy
Yeah It's the Malone deck It's pretty mean and Arena always curves it well
@@ryanconley3932 yeah and usualy i dont run ways to deal with artifact decks so either im fast enough or might aswell concede and save time
@@rubentoco9316 yeah some of my decks do but getting the the shuffler to deal the right cards sucks. instance speed board wipes would be nice
@@ryanconley3932 yeah malone is dirty for that one...such a crazy deck...
That izzet artifacts deck was really cool!
So was that mono white token? deck I like the value and constant field presence

i live for selesnya aggro....the counters archtype is so underused imo
Where is the blue/ white control? Is it safe? (no) is it alright? (This meta hates thought)
"Thoughts" LOL!
I watched the arcford match live. Me and him were in discord and he was streaming. So dope
I'm pretty sure Mythics are never the concern when it comes to crafting decks, I've never run out of Mythic wildcards but I'm always out of rare

The synthesizer match was gas.
I died laughing when you said you were a moron after not playing the drowner
Surgical Suite being an enchantment also prevents picklock prankster from retrieving it in the Oculus deck.

you go play yugioh, majority dont like removal /counter spam, and rightfully its not the msot viable option.

I'm already in love with this :D
it's the new era of magic... "but you don't even know! magic was always OP! it's not power creep!!!"
Zombify dimir has been pretty fun to play with.
This deck wants Slitherwisp... if only it was legal
seems every deck in standard nowadays is black or red
I open the video: "OMG JUST DIE!"
Few seconds in, im already amused
What changes would you make for the Bo3 paper meta?
This video is looking crispy
Critical mass of Kaitos
Is it just me, or is CGB that kid from fairy odd parents grown up? his last wish was for the ultimate magic collection....lol meow anyone who reads this and gets the reference will never see anything else lol
dig the deck...dimir ninjas are so fun...
kaito will never not sound like drifter from destiny 2
This isn’t a control deck but sure, still enjoy watching you play!
17:19 Alright relax Napoleen
lol "kaito tempo" sounds like "how long?" or "long time no see!" in Portuguese
wouldn't 4 Cut downs help agaisn't the aggro matches?
Both of those cgbs in the thumbnail look like theyre about marge simpson mollywop me
Why nobody adds a Sheoldred the apocalypse to this kind of decks?
Dimir always felt like a deck better suited to Bo3, you can win with it in Bo1 but the deck loses a lot of it's SB power.
The Faerie Mastermind in the thumbnail lol, bro is not the World Champion
Have been playing Izzet Synthesizer for some months, funny deck but too slow against aggro.
12:08 I know him!
This deck reminds me of the firsts Esper midrange deck with Raffine in Streets of New Capenna. Draw Kaito and the deck works really well, don’t draw him and the deck sucks.
idk how we're playing the same game, I barely see any red aggro, everyone plays overlord piles or dimir.
Give me 10 times Mono Red than 1 times this deck

CGB: oh wow it's monastery swiftspear new card
Also CGB: *plays land*
!
the amount of misplays hurts my brain
foundations is pretty much all worse versions of things that already existed and timmy cards >.>
Thank god you stoped that falcons crap 😂
Do these videos make money?
