That Cerberus (LP) package is crazy... I mean yes there's more hull schematics on there but that's the light combat freighter to outdo all other light combat freighters, the ultimate form of the Cerberus!
I'd still bring some wayfarers along to haul more cargo, but if you want to actually fight anything together with your escorts, this is the freighter hull to do it in.

Just fyi you can retrain officers to change their personality, so timid to steady would only cost you two story points, and you get to change their elite skill each time too, and SP spent on retraining has the xp bonus
just something to consider for future playthroughs :)
For roleplaying purposes anyone who is timid or cautious aren't pirates, they're pathetic.

I actually never thought of that... If you find a captain on one of these derelicts and don't hire them, do you just boot them out an airlock or what? XD

Come to think of it, since you're doing all this salvaging why did you pass up the Shepherd in the last episode? I know it's suboptimal for sensor profile but I almost always have at least one of those little guys tagging along with my fleet since it offers an advanced sensor package, a bit of cargo space and a light salvage gantry that gives a bonus to all salvage operations. I've never really worked out how buffs stack in this game so maybe it's not worth it with the salvager perk? Since I generally keep them out of combat and they don't take that much crew anyway I usually just militarize them and pray that's enough.

Does the tug working by simply being there in your fleet? If I understand the wiki correctly it applies +1 to your entire fleet? Or just the slowest ship? Aka you need one for each to bump your speed up?
Yes it does, but it is also slow so I would need to add hull mods to it to not be slow
To clarify what Rhadamant said, its fleet wide +1. You do not need one per ship.
Another drawback I dont think Rhadamant brought up with these ships aside from fuel/maintenance cost is that they have a massive sensor profile which means your entire fleet is much easier to detect on sensors.
28:45 you can see the sensor profile on that one is 275, to put it into perspective a BATTLESHIP usually sits around 150 on their sensor profiles so adding a Tug to your fleet does come at a cost on multiple levels.

Sometime people take up a large portion of the screen which blocks things and distracts from the gameplay. It wasn’t any kind of shot at you or how you look.
